I have heard about this restaurant for years but never been. We finally went with friends and it was great. We live pretty far, so we may not get out there again but if we did, I would sit in the bar and lounge area and order off the sushi menu because the sashimi appetizer we ordered was delicious. The best part was our server, Jeannine (sp?) who was a perfect balance of great personality, attentive and also let us relax and not feel like we were rushed. Also, they made one of the best dirty martinis I have ever had.

Ate here for lunch and enjoyed it tremendously. Request a window seat if possible for a spectacular view. Three of us decided on the Shrimp and Crab Salad with Green Goddess Dressing. Ample amount of crab and five large shrimp, delicious. Our fourth companion opted for the burger selection, about half a pound. He enjoyed it. The one drawback, the place is pricey, $120 for four at lunch is high.

The food here was amazing from the appetizer to the dessert. We split the trio appetizer that had tuna, lobster salad and something else. The lobster salad was amazing. I had the pamplemousse martini which was fabulous. Grapefruit lovers should definitely order this. My meal was the boat scallops which was excellent. We finished with the lemon tart but there were so many that sounded great. My only caveat would be the bill was not for the faint of heart.

Brigantine is a popular place for locals but getting seated wasn't possible because the dining area much more limited in size than the bar area. So my teenage son and I got a high top in the bar. It was loud, we got banged into the whole time, service was sporatic and slow. His burger was quite good, my fish dish was not good. I think the experience in the dining portion must be better. I would consider returning for drinks/appetizers but not an overpriced dinner and a 4% surcharge to cover "increased costs" - what is that about? Have traveled extensively and never seen that before. Get your costs right and be done with it.

We visited on Christmas Eve and loved the menu. Our kids devoured their food. Food pricing was reasonable but the drinks were a bit expensive. Still worth a trip.

Located across from the Del Mar Fairgrounds and Race Track, our third restaurant has been a San Diego North County favorite since it opened in 1981. This bustling restaurant encourages friendly and convivial dining, with the help of a comfortable oyster b
The second time that we have dined here - having on a Friday evening had the forethought to book ahead. Very good Seafood, well trained friendly staff. They have apparently re-vamped their sweet menus ...... which we just had to try. Really excellent!!Only slight concern is that we were seated in the middle of the restaurant on a busy night and the noise from other diners friendly chatter was deafening!

We havenât eaten here since last year, but, again the food and service were excellent. I ordered the avocado, tomato, onion omelet with cheese along with grilled tomatoes and sourdough toast. It was fresh hot and had excellent flavor. My husband had the oatmeal and really enjoyed it. Great food and service in a small restaurant.

Warm and inviting inside with a cute little patio out the back. Great service...very helpful and friendly. Lots of creative things on the menu like quinoa cake Benedict and BlackBerry stuffed French toast. They also have a great mimosa menu with flavors like pineapple and watermelon. The little bakery next door is jammed with yummy looking pastries of all kinds to take home. Loved that all the ingredients are local and they support other local businesses. They even give you a little heart shaped cookie with your check...yum!

Shares the Pesto Chicken Flatbread. Itâs made with chicken, basil, oven roasted tomatoes, bacon, mozzarella and parmesan cheese, all on a flat bread. It came out looking like a pizza. It was just prefect to share for our mid day lunch. Nice open air interior. The on street parking is always a pain. Always busy.
