I am just not impressed by this restaurant. The appetizer menu seemed a bit heavy-- not many healthy options. The wine was fine, but a bit expensive, especially for a chain restaurant that is not upscale. The roasted artichokes were quite hard and difficult to eat, but the sauce was good. The service was fine. I don't think that I will return soon, if ever.Hello. We're sorry that you did not have a better than average experience. Next time, if there is anything that can be done to improve your experience, please let our managers know so we can make things right while you are still dining with us. Thank you for your feedback.

Ken's is great. The decor is old school diner style, with lots of memorabilia of all categories (sports, local celebs, old-fashioned advertisements). We ordered the Burger Buddy and it was excellent (and came with fries and a soda). The chili was very good as well. In fact, most of the things on the menu looked very good, but our stomachs are only so big. Reasonably priced by kosher standards. I would definitely go back.

Jameson's currently has 8 locations in the greater Chicago area.
Very unwelcoming. Horrible staff. My wife and I were in the area visiting a family member in a nearby hospital. It was after 4pm and had only eaten breakfast. I have worked at Motorola since 1991 in Arlington Heights. The Jameson's next door ha always been a great place to eat. After leaving the hospital, I remembered there was a Jameson's in the area. Why not give it a shot? The parking lot was empty. I knew the restaurant wasn't full. We walk in and stand near the entrance. Nobody acknowledged us. We walked toward the other room deeper, the lady who saw us walk in is standing near are bar/desk. She looks at us dumbfounded. I ask her if we could just sit any where since it was empty and she wasn't making an effort to seat us. She asked if we had a reservation, I told we didn't. Who makes a reservation for the middle of the day? It's Jameson's come on, not Gibson's or Lawry's downtown. Without looking at her seating chart, which was practically empty, she offers us the first high top as you walk into the place. Her body language, facial expression, and tone said it all. We left hungry. I welcome anyone to check my previous reviews. I don't like to leave negative feedback. I can't hold back on this one. I'm done with Jameson's as a whole. There are so many options in Chicago to have to put up with lousy service.

Have visited Walker Bros. for breakfast every time I have visited the Chicago area for more than 20 years. This time I was going to miss this delicious treat, so thinking out of the box I went there for dinner.Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner? The pecan pancake was just as decadently delicious, and with a side of thick bacon made for a great evening treat.

First time here. We received very personal service. Very family oriented. The patrons acted like they were all very familiar with the men working the counter. We felt included. The food was good. We had the pastrami sandwich and one of the hot dogs on the menu. Fries were also good.

Alexander's isn't big, but it packs a punch in terms of delicious breakfast fare. There are the usual suspects but also some distinctive combinations of things, and all of it is homemade. The daily specials are always intriguing and everything is fresh. We have eaten there multiple times and the service is always fast and friendly.

Maurice and Flaurie Berman, the co-founders of Superdawg Drive-In at 6363 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, at the corner of Milwaukee, Devon and Nagle, are gone. But the legendary, iconic, one-of-a-kind hot dog stand they founded in 1948, with car hop service, a Chicago-style hot dog like no other and the traditional figures on the roof are still there. My wife and I have been making periodic trips to Superdawg since we got married in the 1970s. But friends have been loyal customers since the 1950s. A trip to Superdawg recalls memories of the 1950s, when drive-ins and car hops were so popular, when you drove your father's car for the first time and took a date along. We recently drove up North Milwaukee Avenue to get our monthly Superdawg fix. Superdawg isn't a weiner or frankfurter or red hot. It's a slab of juicy pure beef that is bigger than any other hot dog, no pork or veal or cereal or filler of any kind, with all the trimmings--mustard, piccalilli, Kosher dill pickle, chopped Spanish onions and hot peppers on a poppy seed bun. With an order of Super Fries. And wash it all down with a chocolate milk shake and large mug of root beer. Eating in your car never tasted so good.

We eat at deli's across the country. I was so disappointed by the service that it took away from the food. The restauant was filled with employees but had no other customers while we were there. Nevertheless ordering was pure chaos. Our order-taker couldn't remember that she had taken our order and then she got offended when we spoke with someone else. It took quite a bit of time between ordering and getting our food. Plus I think it's really strange to have a deli without serving hot matzo ball soup. the sandwiches were good. The desserts looked good. They also did not have lox eggs onion.they should take a trip to Kenny and Ziggy's in Houston and see how a good deli is run. Kaufman's has the opportunity to create a great deli if they had a good mentor.

As a Frequent Diner member, was somewhat shocked at the way the late afternoon meal unfolded. Arrived around 3:40PM, and asked for the dinner menu. Was seated in the bar area, where the only server doubled as the bartender, and NO busboy help, as it got busier (even though the server tried her hardest) things just went south from there. Had a 6 piece shrimp cocktail, which was excellent, soups were luke warm, but could not get attention of the server to correct the problem because she then became very busy with bar patrons and other tables.....all they while the manager with another employee stood at the front talking.....not paying attention to what going on. Had ask for bread and butter.....it finally arrived a loaf of onion bread that my wife could not eat......finally asked server if there was another type of bread available....she said no, so I asked to pay for a piece of the corn bread that went along with the brisket.....she said fine. 5 minutes later, the manager that was doing nothing came to the table and said he was sorry, they only had enough corn bread for the brisket special that day. I then expressed my concern about the lack of people working.....he said "sorry" and walked away. There was dirty dishes from the shrimp and soup laying on the table, but I guess he felt that was not has job to remove them....a pathetic attitude for a Melman restaurant manager. All the entries were finally served.....with my wife's Filet being excellent. But at 32.95 with only a side of fries....pretty pricey.....Wildfire offers 2 sides along with excellent service no matter what time you go to the restaurant. Obviously somebody (besides the current management staff at Woods) needs to address the staffing problems during ALL time periods. Spent $168 for a disrupted dinner.....won't be back for awhile.
