A burger that actually tasted like a burger and a real slice of onion! Sesame seed buns were good. We love the onion rings---always tender onions and crispy breading. Best part was lady who took our order was courteous and clearly wanted to make sure that the order was right. Lady who gave us the order was peasant and personable while at the same time working to get order to us accurately and quickly. Lucky to have such contentious employees.

Traveling and looked for a locally owned and operated restaurant that was highly rated by the community. Another guest was staying at the same hotel and suggested we go to Cheers; locally owned, and they have eaten there multiple times over the years. We went, they came in later, the service, food and price points were wonderful. We hope to return in the near future.

Wanted Local so went here with husband (on way back to Ohio from W Monroe, Al. ) Nice atmosphere, friendly, comfortable, quick service. We both had a side salad and the bisque- wonderful. He had scallops and loved it. I ordered the NewYork strip but it neither looked nor tasted like I am used to. Very bland, tasted like soup bone meat; had a horizontal layer of fat running thru the middle and the left side was grissle and fat, the right side was scalloped?? Will try something else if we get back this way again.

Don't let the name fool you, there's nothing Greek about this place. The dinning area is one large room which is split as smoking and non-smoking but it doesn't make a difference. The whole place has a horrible cigarette smell. As for the food, the salad is limited. There's only lettuce, a few topping and dressing. Their soups are canned soups which was a total disappointment. Not worth getting the salad bar but it comes with your meal. The steak choices are limited too and for the low quality steak we got was overpriced. The staff is kind and friendly but it doesn't make up for the low quality food. It's not worth the stop. Save your time and your stomach from this horrible place.

Had early dinner here for first time and found it to be average. The fried pickles tasted good but the breading was way to thick or overcooked. It was very tough. The steak I ordered was cooked correctly but had very little taste. IMO having to use A1 to get flavor on a steak is a grilling sin. Lol. The chicken salad ordered looked and tasted great. Maybe the kitchen was having an off night. It wasnât a terrible experience but far from great either. Our server was amazing though.

Kirby's has been serving burgers in Sikeston, MO since 1907. Kirby's specialty is the Kirby Burger....a double cheese burger cooked with thin sliced, grilled onions. Mmmm, Mmmm there is nothing like it anywhere. It's a must have if you're in the area. Gen
This establishment has been here since 1907, and I have taken over 100 trips thru Sikeston in my lifetime, and I am literally kicking myself for not discovering this restaurant sooner in life!!!! My extended family and I were visiting Sikeston over the weekend, and we decided to give Kirbys a try...I must say, that this is one of the BEST burgers I've ever eaten!!! I had the double cheeseburger with grilled onions (which it IS the grilled onions that made it so good!!!!!), and onion rings. The onion rings were nice and crispy, and the burger was to die for!!! I've noticed in some other reviews that people complained that the meat pattys were thin, and were this might be true...the double w/cheese & grilled onions was the bomb!!!! I highly recommend this, and am totally looking forward to my return!!!!!

Have been to Merick's numerous times. Love their catfish. Have ordered their chicken salad sandwich the most as it's my go-to lunch when I stop by during the day. At night they have a buffet with quite a few options available. Most of it is pretty tasty and filling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Grab a piece of their strawberry cheese cake if you have room.

We wanted something a little different and a step up from McDonalds. We were actually on our way to Applebees and saw Ruby Tuesday so there we went. We were seated immediately. The server was very polite and pleasant and knew the menu well. The food was served reasonably quickly and was prepared as ordered. My steak was maybe a teeny bit overcooked, but that is a risk when ordering medium well. Very few places get that right. The fries were crispy and not soggy. veggies were not overcooked which most places do. The beer was cold and after a long day on the road was very welcome. The price was reasonable for the food we got. I would recommend this restaurant if you are staying in the area.

Susie's is located directly behind several antique shops. After shopping for hours I was so hungry. I found the best surprise when eating at Susie's. They have a plate lunch everyday and assorted other lunch selections. The staff was wonderful! It was a very enjoyable experience!!

Packed at 6:30 PM on a Wednesday but the wait wasnât terribly long. Service was fast and efficient. These were the good things. The deal is that you order an entree with two sides and there are âpass-aroundsâ that they bring around to the tables and serve you (if you so desire). The side selections are short on vegetables; mostly potatoes and the âpass-aroundsâ are what Iâd prefer for sides, like fried okra and black eyed peas. We had fried catfish and chicken & dumplings. There were no spoons and no real butter. Chicken & dumplings without a spoon is not optimal. The âpass-aroundsâ didnât come nearly often enough and I never got black eyed peas.I guess if you stayed around and availed yourself of multiple helpings of the âpass-aroundsâ it might justify the cost but for a normal meal it was sort of pricey.
