C.R Gibbs is located in the heart of Redding and is an open exhibition kitchen with a full bar, banquet facilities and American Grille Style Cuisine.
Our large tour group had made arrangements for lunch at CR Gibbs. We had our food pre-ordered and dined in the private dining room. We had our food quickly and my salad was a very generous size and so delicious. Appreciated the friendly service and inviting decor.

We were staying at the Sheraton Sundial Bridge and this restaurant is right next door. Very convenient. Our server was awesome! The food was very good, and fresh. Beautiful atmosphere, lovely decor.

Having visited Cattleman's twice when we were in Redding a year ago, since deciding to return in 2019 we have been looking forward to visiting Cattleman's on this visit. So, how was it? Well, I have to confess better than ever!My wife repeat-ordered the Steak and Shrimp Scampi, whilst I went for the Rustler Rib Eye on this occasion - delightful all round! The steak was sweet to the palate, cut like salmon, and tasted of the stuff of dreams!!I know of no other place which has steak like this place!

A classic Redding restaurant. Good steaks. Long lines. Poor atmosphere. It's a place that you should experience at least once.

We stopped at Clearie's on our way through Redding to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The lunch menu offers a simple variety of sandwiches and salads. I opted for the crispy calamari and shrimp louis which had an unnecessarily spicy dressing. Our waiter was not terribly interested in waiting on us as he had a large birthday party that he was also serving. So we spent a good amount of time waiting to order, waiting on water refills, waiting to pay, etc.

Waited on a Saturday for about 50 minutes. They do have a coffee area to sit in while you wait. Waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful with the menu. Food was average but this is clearly Redding's hot spot on a weekend. If you decide to go, keep the wait time in mind and plan accordingly.

Stopped in there for the first time and was quite impressed. Had a very good beer selection. Tried 2 different types and enjoyed them both. Had the large pretzel with beer cheese and it tasted great. When I'm in the area again and will definitely stop in again!

About a 5 min walk from the Best Western Twin View hotel, I had the pulled pork sandwich for a late dinner (almost 9PM) - which was excellent and was really a double portion. My wife had the caesar salad - which was also excellent and large enough for 2 portions. The food took a little while to prepare, but they had a sign posted saying that any hot prepared food would take longer. We had enough for dinner, and lots of leftover for breakfast.

This has been a great place for breakfast so far--both American and Mexican style dishes! Don't let the exterior fool you. Breakfasts' are good, and nice portions; service has been warm and friendly, too. Joe's Giant Orange is easily identified by it's orange round shaped building right off the I-5. Whenever we are up north, we make it a point to stop by for breakfast.

We were travelling with our dog, and came here for breakfast because they have a pet-friendly patio and their food also gets good reviews. We chose a shaded table on the patio, then I went inside the restaurant and let the hostess/waitress know that we were sitting outside. They smoke their meats on site. We watched as the grill-master loaded up the wood-fired smoker -- which is located on the patio -- with tri-tip and ribs. There is a single menu for breakfast and lunch, and both options were available when we arrived. My husband had the smoked tri-tip and eggs. I had a half cheesesteak sandwich made with smoked tri-tip. The waitress asked my husband how he wanted his tri-tip cooked, and let him know that medium rare or more well-cooked were really the only options for the smoked meat. He ordered medium rare. It came out just slightly pink inside, but he wasn't disappointed. In fact, we were pleased and surprised that the waitress would even bother to consider his preferences, given that the meat was smoked. The tri-tip didn't have an extremely smoky flavor, but it tasted good and the breakfast plate came with several generously-sized slices of meat. My sandwich was tasty and just the right amount of food. The restaurant serves fresh-brewed iced tea, which was refreshing on a warm summer morning. The price was a bit higher than we're accustomed to paying for breakfast -- $36 for our meals including tea/soft drink -- but the food quality was very good.Bottom-line: A nice place for breakfast or lunch, and pet-friendly to boot.
