New Name, Same Charm!
We were antiquing in Selma and decided we were getting hungry. We wanted a quick lunch so we could get to all the antique stores before they closed. We picked Short's Cafe and I'm glad we did.You placed your order at the counter and they brought the food to you. I had the grilled homemade chicken salad sandwich and my husband had the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. We shared the lunch and both of us agreed the sandwiches were awesome. The people working there were very friendly, the service was quick, and before we left the place was starting to fill up with locals (locals always know the place to eat). If you are antiquing in Selma (or just passing through), I highly recommend this little place.
New name, same charm!
For real, guys...this is the best tuna salad AND the best chicken salad I have ever had in my life. The new Short's is customer service oriented and features a 100% Made From Scratch menu that you will not believe. The baked goods...forgetaboutit. We were so extremely impressed and happy. I strongly suggest that everyone reading this head to Short's sooner, rather than later. Try the12-layer cake. *swoon!*

We chose Bob Evans for our dinner because of name recognition and next door to our motel. The staff were very professional, the food was hot and delicious and portions were very good. It could use more "busing" service to clear tables but still was a very good dinner experience.

For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca
This is right off I-95 near JR's outlet. It is casual. The food is good and comparably priced. Most of the menu food is of breakfast variety but there are other good options. Its open late and a popular meeting place for young and old alike after karaoke. Most times the staff are friendly but there have been times they are understaffed and overworked. Prices are good.

Like most. Beer is expensive and meals are fine but not exceptional. Service was good and location is convenient to several hotels

Robbins Nest Restaurant is offers a true taste of the N.C. South! We offer a southern buffet and desserts. We also offer a complete salad bar. We do take reservations for large groups. We are located off Exit 97 on Hwy 95 next to the Days Inn hotel.
Most disorganized buffet restaurant I have ever had the us pleasure of being in. We waited nearly 30 minutes only to get to the beginning of the line as we were next. Things changed before our eyes and the person checking people in started cashing the other line out. We left and have not been back. It seems busy..

Texas Steakhouse & Saloon is a casual dining Steakhouse. Our menu is full of appetizing items with an emphasis on steaks. We also have award winning ribs, fresh seafood & chicken, as well as a variety of garden fresh salads, appetizers & homemade desserts
Neither of us had been to Texas Steakhouse in years...for no particular reason. Decided we wanted to go somewhere different and went to the Smithfield, NC location. We arrived about 4pm. Immediately seated. Server arrived quickly for drink order. Was very helpful with questions about menu items. We ordered the queso & chips for an appetizer, and added the Texas chili. It was wonderful...could have been thicker, but very tasty. My husband got brisket plate and I got tenderloin tips. We both got a flavored ice tea. Everything came out perfectly. Even something as mundane as a baked potato was just awesome ! Food came quickly. Server checked back to see if meat was cooked to our preferences, checked our beverages. We made sure we engaged the server in conversation to see how long he had been there and if he was likely to be there when we go again. Thanks David for helping make this a superior experience.Eyesblue48,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so happy to hear that you received great service and food! Hearing you had a wonderful experience makes what we do all worth it! Please come and see us again soon. It would be our privilege to serve you!

Highly recommended. We were just stopping in town for overnight during our trip. Simple Twist looked interesting. It was fabulous! Not a fancy place, but food was awesome. We had two of their bowls Curry and Mexican. We liked Mexican the best, but both will not disappoint. Lemon/Blueberry Cheesecake was all excellent. Very good service. Give it try! Next time we passing thru we need to try their beer pub across the street.
