Relaxed, lodge-chic chain serving global comfort fare, including stir-fries, pot roast & pastas.
There are few good restaurants in the immediate area and with a hotel and apartments on the same site it gets a lot of pressure. Be sure to call ahead for reservations. Lots of people had their dogs and were ok to sit outside.Food was good but not memorable.

This delightful little cafe bistro in the historic downtown Saratoga neighborhood offers an amazing assortment of breakfast bites to tempt any palette. From 3-4 eggs Benedict choices to crepes, omelettes, waffles, breakfast burritos and all the traditional morning delights - they've got 'em, and boy O boy did we ever enjoy it all. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was quaint and warm. We intend to make this a must do breakfast stop anytime we're in the Saratoga area. Thanks Bell Tower team. Loved it!

Our new favorite dining spot in Saratoga -- or the whole South Bay for that matter. Such a delight eating here tonight. Interesting menu with lots of appetizer and share plates, salads, entrees, and sides across a New Californian/Pan-Pacific/Mediterranean spectrum. Features lots of farm-to-table, fresh, seasonal and Non-GMO ingredients. The Mini Taco Trio with one Pancetta Wrapped Shrimp taco, one Wagyu Beef Taco, and a Poke Fish Taco per plate are a popular dish -- all were amazing fresh flavors, but beware you have to like raw fish and rare beef. The Mexican Prawns are another very popular starter/share plate with lightly breaded jumbo prawns with julienned mango in a peanut curry ginger sauce -- very good, but I can hardly detect the curry. We've enjoyed the Brussel, Bacon & Pecan Salad with a fresh and crunchy apple slaw composition -- lovely, refreshing flavors. The Hero Wedge is pretty good too. For entrees, we've tried the Baby Back Ribs which were 4 meaty and tender ribs, with some onion rings and a chipotle slaw as accompaniments. I liked the ribs, but I think the BBQ sauce marinade could have used a bit more sweetness to better balance the acid. My spouse enjoys the Hero Ranch Burger which he said was really good, juicy and flavorful. Wonderful variety of very reasonably priced wines and cocktails -- at or better than retail price on most wines, and their house wines (produced by their own vineyards) are also very good. For dessert, the Apple Crisp is amazingly light and delicious -- it seemed like a very creative variant of an apple turnover with vanilla ice cream and light drizzle of caramel. On our first visit, the owner/host Angelo was most gracious, and we appreciated his stopping by every so often to introduce us to the specials of the night, or to describe his own house produce wines, or signature dishes. You could tell his passion for food and wine which made the meal all that much more enjoyable.

Alexander's Steakhouse is a fine dining interpretation of the classic American steakhouse with hints of Japanese influence laced into the menu. Located in Cupertino, California, Alexander's Steakhouse is a welcome addition to the South Bay dining scene, r
After a wonderful meal at Alexander's in November 2018, we returned last night for a Valentine's Dinner. It was a very different experience. Although the service was very good, and they tried to be attentive, I was not the only diner I heard answering "it's okay" to "How is everything?" Frankly, okay is not good enough when you are shelling out $380 for dinner for 2, and I say this as someone who regularly dines at top restaurants in London, regularly spending £300 - £400. It sounded like it had been a very busy day - it was Valentine's Day to be fair - and many of the staff had worked long shifts. However we waited half an hour for our main course after the starters. My husband's steak was very dry, and mine was underdone. Also, I know the dinner is supposed to be a treat, and they were very good about leaving things off we didn't want (no bacon on the salad etc), but the vegetables were utterly drenched in butter. Flavours were wonderful, but if half the butter had been used the vegetables still would have tasted amazing. Top marks for the popcorn crab starter which my husband and I shared. I only had a couple as they are, of course, fried, but the crab was absolutely amazing. It's a very nice touch to have tiny fruit jellies, fudge and cotton candy at the end of the meal. They also gave a very high quality long stemmed rose to the ladies at the end of the meal as it was Valentine's, a lovely touch.Top marks for effort, but at the price, will we return? I'm honestly not sure. And just a side note, I think it's amazing to have gender neutral bathrooms, but unfortunately they weren't very clean. At an establishment like this, particularly if all sexes are using the same restrooms, it's important to check that they are clean regularly.

Excellent food - the wild mushroom soup and the special beef filet were wonderful. My husband very much enjoyed his duck confit. The service was also outstanding - our waiter was very attentive and pleasant under difficult circumstances. The disappointing part of the evening was the extreme level of noise in the dining room. We were seated across from a very loud, rude celebratory party of 12. Since we could not hear each other talk, we rushed through our dinner to escape. There was probably nothing the management could have done about the situation at that time, but it certainly ruined our evening. Until some changes in policy or the physical set-up of the restaurant are made, I would not recommend Nick's for a special evening such as the one we were anticipating.

We enjoyed a very nice lunch, after hiking at Montalvo!! We earned our burgers, which were all loaded with various toppings. You can build your own burger, or pick one of the ones from the menu. Make sure you top it off with fries!!! Nice beer and wine choices, reasonably priced. I like the fact that you can order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring you the food. Very good meal.

The Plumed Horse is a bit of an anomaly. Hereâs the issue⦠The restaurant is excellent. Really. However, because itâs a Michelin star restaurant, there is absolutely a higher expectation when one dines there. Iâm not sure that the value is here. I donât mind paying Michelin star prices if the fare is truly Michelin star worthy. Plumed Horse is kinda on the fence here. Certainly priced as suchâ¦. But not sure if it delivers.

Sustainable, fresh, local. Exceeds expectations.I have dined here about every year, and this place still amazes me. First: the menu is varied and not overwhelming. My friends ordered rainbow trout, my husband had the penne pasta, I was tempted by my favorites Liver and Onions, and Duck breast. But my final choice was the special of the day: California Halibut, sauteed spinach, on top of a cauliflower cake with a beurre blanc sauce. The fish was generous, moist and a slight crust, the sauce light and tasty, and the cauliflower cake could be a meal in itself-it was soooo good. Don't skip the salad-I had the Bleu gem, and my friend-the Caesar. My husband had the special split pea. All awesome. The dessert-very good. chocolate sorbet was smooth, and the open apple pie with vanilla icecream like homemade. Chris, our everything server, was attentive. the manager on staff also came by the table to inquire about our meal and happiness. And the ambience was just right. I could actually hear my dinner companions (slight noise from bar)

Nice casual place for a delicious seafood meal. The tacos were tasty and the seared ahi was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. The one con is they do not have recycling bins inside, pretty appalling...I watched people throw away the plastic cups in the trash ...we brought our home.
