This popular family restaurant offers everything from the area's best breakfast sausage and barbecue to oysters and steaks. No frills. This is a busy, down to basics restaurant where service and good food are priorities. We have only visited Winks for breakfast. I particularly like their large chunk home fry potatoes. You will not leave hungry!

Went for dinner prior to a play at the Meroney Theater. The dinner special of salmon topped with crab meat was very good as was the crabcake sandwich. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.

Had dinner at The Palms with my husband and brother. I ordered the spinach quiche, which was the special of the evening. What arrived resembled quiche in no way. There was no crust, and it was just a big gelatinous glob of cooked frozen spinach, some sort of artificial cheese, and what seemed like unflavored gelatin. I've had better quiche from the frozen food section at the grocery store. Never more...

Met friends there for a quick bite while browsing downtown. Great selection of both standard and unique deli sandwiches, salads, etc. I opted for something off my usual selections. I had a grilled combo of pastrami and corned beef with a cream cheese filling spread on the sandwich. It was served warm and I chose chips as my side. A friend had some yummy egg salad with pretty green leafy lettuce on a soft croissant also with chips on the side and my other lunch companion opted for her favorite of ham and squash with pasta salad as her side. The service was good and the portions were filling. We didn't overdo but we were full and were not interested in dessert. One of my favorite stops when visiting Salisbury.

This has always been a favorite of mine and of my friend who doesn't live all that far away. Sometimes it's brunch, sometimes it's lunch. We've always had great food and good service but this visit was disappointing at best. There were two of us on this visit and we certainly didn't place a difficult order. My friend ordered one of the specials that came with 2 eggs, choice of meat (she picked bacon) and 2 pancakes. I was not as hungry so I ordered 2 pancakes and bacon. We sat and chatted until our server brought food, or at least part of our order. She said she was waiting on my pancakes so she sat down my friend's eggs and bacon and was getting ready to sit down her 2 pancakes when my friend said to give them to me and she would wait for the next 2. I asked for butter and my friend gave me the syrup sitting on her big plate and we both began to eat. My friend commented on her scrambled eggs because the amount looked huge for 2 eggs. I laughed and said maybe that chicken gave jumbo eggs. We continued to eat and never saw our server. We both finished our plates and still no server, no pancakes for my friend. I finally got the attention of another server on our side of the room and told her that my friend never got the rest of her order. She got our server and my friend told her she was through and no longer wanted the missing pancakes nor was she going to pay for them. Our server then got somewhat of an attitude and did bring an adjusted ticket. We noted she charged for 3 eggs (no wonder the serving looked huge). We went to pay the bill and my friend mentioned the issue to the cashier and it happened our server was standing right next to her and she struck some type of attitude. We then went to the hostess stand and asked to speak to the manager on duty. Our server walked by the hostess stand at that time and it was evident she was in a snit. We talked to the manager and she asked if our server offered the "free" 3rd egg; she did not. We also told her the sequence of events and how we completely finished our meal without ever seeing her again and when we asked for her she never said she was sorry about the missing food but she immediately went on the defensive and I felt became quite rude and hostile. We eat here at least once if not more each month when I come up to visit. My friend frequently goes in for takeout orders as her sister is housebound. We have never had poor service but this visit was not a good one. The manager explained that the pancakes were put up but no sercervever claimed them; that is our server's fault but she acted like it was ours. The manager apologized to us as she said she knew we were repeat customers many times over and did day on our next visit we would be treated well

Finally made it to this restaurant - it is usually very busy. Great pulled pork sandwich and also ribs. And a lot of food - enough for a second meal for us. The sides also are well prepared. Service was friendly and fast. Beer and wine are available.
