When this restaurant first opened, I was negatively impressed with their food.Last week I had an experience that changed my mind. Great meal. Great service. Great Prickly Pear. Looking forward to going back. And the desserts there are fabulous.

THE #1 RATED STEAKHOUSE IN ST. JOSEPH! Herb-Crusted Prime Rib (Friday & Saturday), Steak Diane, Sea Bass, hand-cut Ribeye, Filet Mignon, NY Strip, Salmon Amandine... the list goes on! And our Surf-n-Turf dinners (filet mignon with lobster tail!) are incre
Continuing our Summer weekly âfeeding frenzyâ 221 Main was chosen as a short drive along the Lake Michigan Coast from South Haven. Located in the middle of downtown St.Joseph, we conveniently parked in front and then started one of best dining experiences yet. After selecting from an extensive Bourbon and Scotch menu we ordered the following: a ribeye, the salmon piccata, Lake whitefish and the New York strip. All agreed that it was the best meal weâve experienced, properly prepared and expertly served. Special THANKS to the server (Jennifer) and the chef (Brandon) for a memorable meal (see picture). 221 Main is worth a return visit !!!

Clementines Too is a great place to eat whether a tourist or local. Nice variety of meal options withoug being overwhelming, specials every night, great staff, well prepared food. The outdoor seating area is great in good weather, and the location along the St. Joseph River allows views of boats heading out to and in from Lake Michigan.

Plank's Tavern features approachable modern cuisine at the water's edge. Situated within The Inn at Harbor Shores where the St Joseph and Paw Paw Rivers meet Lake Michigan in one of Lake Michigan's oldest harbors.
Sunday late morning. Very busy with large crowd. Was offered table on the patio which was surprising since it was a nice day. Nice view of the harbor. Waitress arrived promptly and took orders. Food was very good and good sized for price. A little higher price for the area but good service, outdoor seating, and enjoyable experience make it okay. Will be back for another family treat.

Friendly service, good prices and delicious food. Truly a place that values local sourcing, and careful attention to detail in preparing your meal. Had the burger with a side of bacon and it was delicious. Others had the salad, salmon, and both were amazing. Would readily come back here time and time again, every time Iâm in the area.

We ate here on a sweltering day during the St Joe art fair. The place was absolutely packed. Our service was terrific and I wish I could remember the young man's name. He was quick with drink refills and was attentive but not cloying. Hubby had a burger and I had a veggie burger. Both were great. The fries were yummy and the beer was ice cold. We even tipped the kitchen staff because they must have been hot and tired. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars? The manager? owner? was walking around and banging trays and glasses. I know he was trying to keep things neat but he made a lot of noise and startled us when he banged a tray just below us.

Local craft beers, locally sourced food
Huge list of beers, but were out of 5 when we visited. Management needs to be on top of replacing beers with similar styles, out of 4 Hefeweizen styles on the menu, they were all tapped out. Food was good. Service was good except the waitress had no idea about beer.

This nice restaurant in downtown St. Joseph justly deserves its high rating by most TripAdvisor reviewers. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a downtown building, close to Lake Michigan, with a terrace level as well for summer dining. On a Friday evening in early November the restaurant was very busy. Still, the wait staff (Alex) was friendly and accommodating. Our entrees of salmon and perch were tasty, as were the vegetable selections and the side salad. Bread, too, was quite good. A house cabernet at $6.50 was delicious..

Silver Harbor Brewing Company had an expansive menu, with a variety of snacks, appetizers, sandwiches, full entrees. The food looked amazing! We mostly drank while we were there and got the Asian salad with chicken. It was great! Staff was really courteous and friendly. We would go back!
