Found this place on TA and thought we'd give it a try. We were not disappointed! Very good (and big) burgers! We also found the malts and snickers bar ice cream were both awesome. Prices seemed reasonable. I agree with other posters, the place could use a good cleaning. While I appreciate the old memorabilia and original booths it all seemed to need a wash down. That's not to say I won't go back, the food was very good.

Breakfast and lunch cafe in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood featuring an art gallery, classical music, craft cocktails, and local ingredients.
This is a very unique breakfast spot. It certainly has its own personality and you will notice that upon enterring! Nice outdoor dining if you so choose but you will want to check out the place for your first time. Very welcoming employees with above average service and an excellent menu with some unique combinations along with the basics will make this a place you'll want to return to like "the rest of us". Prices are average to a tad bit higher but worth the indulgence with very good portions. Hubby had Frankie's Benediction (sunny side up eggs with ham slice on fluffy cinnamin French Toast - to die for!) I had the .....Breakfast sandwich which consist of over-easy eggs, brown sugar and bourbon bacon, avocado and bread with a nice crisp - almost too much bacon for me so naturally my guy finished it off! That and 2 coffees came to $36.

Stella is a fresh take on the Italian-American steakhouse with the flavors of a classic Italian kitchen, modern style, unique design and food that appeals to today's diner. Slow-cooked meats, fresh baked bread, and flavorful house made pastas are the trad
We had a great experience because of all the great recommendations from our server Tina! Our drinks were fantastic, I had the Stella Old fashioned-it was nice and sweet. Second I had the Fig cocktail-also delicious and less sweet. The scallop app was so full of flavor. The Burrata bruschetta has a hint of sweet and was great to share with a good of four. Everyone enjoyed their entrees: Waygu beef, lamb pasta, shrimp spaghetti and Mediterranean fish. No time for dessert, we had to get to the Celine Dion concert. Canât wait to go back!

Goodkind is a restaurant and corner tavern tucked away in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood, near the shores of Lake Michigan. Taking a modern approach to Old-World dining, we specialize in rotisserie meats, local produce, and house-made cocktails. We ope
This was our first time at Goodkind. You absolutely need reservations to get a table. They have both small plates and large plates, and the menu changes pretty often, they say. We ordered the chicken liver mousse, calamari, brie, and soft shelled crab as appetizers. Of those, the calamari was really great, and we would order the mousse. For our dinners, the four of us had: leg of lamb, avocado tempura, salmon, and pork chop. All were quite tasty; the salmon and the lamb were both cooked less than we would have liked, but still good. The pork chop was reportedly excellent, as was the avocado. Each came with specific sides of veggies. We tried the desserts, and they were all fine, tho modest in size. They have a nice wine list, and Mondays are half price bottle wine night. The place is small, and the tables are very near each other. The service was good. We would eat here again.

While visiting with family in Milwaukee, they took us Cafe Lulu for dinner. It's a fun little place. I had one of their melts (forgot which one) but it was delicious. It had spinach and portobello mushrooms sautéed with garlic, and melted mozzarella cheese on grilled bread. Very tasty. My husband who likes more basic food should have stuck with the burger. He said the filling in his pita was okay, but that the steak was not very tender. I think everybody else in our party was pleased with their meal.

it is old throwback for sure but nothing special. Food was average. Service was rather slow & it was not busy. No beer on tap - all bottles. Tenderloin steak was very good - tenderloin tips good & chicken livers were a different item on a menu but enjoyable.

We had heard good things about the roast beef dinner for Sunday dinner. We had a shrimp appeitizer which was excellent. My partner and I each order the breef dinner medium well. My partner's came medium well but, mine came rare and bleeding on the plate. Instead of replacing the meat the server brought a plate took my meat back to the kitchen. Needless to say I had the meat packed up and I took it home to cook. The Yorkshire puddings are about the size of a salad plate somewhat tasty but very burnt around the edges.

St. Francis Brewery & Restaurant has been serving heavenly food and sinfully good beer to the St. Francis and Milwaukee community since April 2009. As a locally owned business, our restaurant creates a warm, family-friendly dining experience. Our full men
This is a nice place for a decent brunch buffet. There's a good variety and good quality, something for everyone and reasonably priced. I suggest going at a more earlier time than later. The dishes are empty and stations a bit slow with service when nearing the end.

My husband had Pork Slawsome - Flavorful, fries a plenty (hand cut) with a great slaw! I had Smoked Salmon Hash. I requested my eggs scrambled, which Iâm quite sure is some sort of crime but my wish was granted without so much as a wrinkled nose. My hash was awesome, I would probably request a wee bit more horseradish cream if I were to get a chance to eat there again. And I would LOVE to eat there again. We also shared a house salad which was huge. The food was delivered quickly by a very nice waitress whoâs name Iâve forgotten but maybe weâll see her in Hawaii one day!

Never disappoints! We always visit here the evening before our flights for vacation, now a tradition. Rare these days to meet people at the bar before ones meal, yet at this place we always make new friends. Then the dinner, you cannot beat the service from âPennies from heavenâ, I believe has been here 41 years?,, Love the duck , the steaks are great, and you simply cannot beat the âsupper clubâ ambiance of old days We truly appreciate your wonderful review! So glad you enjoy the ambiance and meeting new friends. So honored that we have become a tradition for you. Surely everyone loves Penny, a long-standing Packing House tradition of her own. We look forward to seeing you again on your next trip!
