Longhorn Steakhouse is a member of the Darden Restaurant Group, which includes Olive Garden, Capital Grille, Season 52 and Eddie V's. My wife and I have dined at all of them and we have no complaints. Founded in 1981, Longhorn has nearly 500 locations, including nine in the Chicago area and several convenient stops along the way on our annual journey from Chicago to Sarasota, Florida. Our most recent visit was to the location at 1470 East Touhy Avenue in northwest suburban Des Plaines, near O'Hare International Airport. Love the Western/Texas theme with expansive bar and TVs for sports fans. We started with shrimp and lobster chowder, roasted tomato basil soup and Longhorn Caesar salad. For an entree, my wife chose a shaved prime rib sandwich. I couldn't resist tackling the two-handed Big Sky burger, topped with shaved American Kobe steak, Gruyere cheese, crispy onion straws, arugula and steakhouse sauce and served with parmesan truffle fries. You need a big appetite but it's worth the effort. For dessert--yes, I had room--we shared a large slice of strawberries and cream cheesecake. Longhorn never disappoints. The menu, from soup to salad to steaks to sandwiches to dessert, always brings a smile.

Are here while on a business trip with coworkers. Overall the restaurant is your typical sports bar and restaurant, it was hard to hear and have a conversation over the multiple TVs playing multiple NBA and baseball games- I would definitely recommend stopping here to watch games... to have a conversation with people, not so much! The food was typical of bar food, with the addition of a couple steak options. This restaurant has a pretty solid craft beer line up if you are interested in the Chicago craft beer scene. The only downside to this restaurant was the service- our waitress was slow to take our orders and we had to flag her down to get a refill- this in spite of the area we were sitting in being slow that evening. All in all- this was an ok experience that would have been better suited for catching a game with a small group of people, rather than a larger group, but the service definitely needs to improve.

CHICAGO FIRE OVEN CHICAGO FIRE OVEN serving contemporary American cuisine, with specialties from its blazing stone fire oven. We feature fresh thin-crust pizzas, signature burgers, roasted chicken, tender steaks and classic salads. The cuisine emphasizes
I know the hotel dining experience has been elevated. They used to be a necessary evil and only because it is easier then going out. Not anymore. And Chicago Fire Pizza is a case in point. Service from start to finish was excellent. The food was delicious. The drinks on the mark. I started with the Woodford Manhattan. Well prepared by the bar. I then had their house white with the risotto bites. Hardly bites. Three good size risotto balls with a flavorful marinara sauce. I had one. Wanted to save room for pizza and salad. I moved to the house red for my spinach salad and 8-inch Mediterranean pizza. I had leftovers for each. The spinach salad was flavorful, well-balanced and dressed. The pizza had a perfect char, nice crust and tasty toppings. The only slight negative is the lighting. What is up with the darker âambiance?â I passed on dessert.I will return and sample more options. I encourage you to do so.

After waiting 19 minutes and flagging down 3 people...finally the 4th stopped and saved us from leaving and never coming back. Geo wasn't supposed to be our waiter but took our drink order and our food order when we told him we were sitting there for 19 minutes. Rebbecca also stopped by and made sure we had our drinks asap and our food order was out fast. I gave Kings an average (instead of a poor) because we really did enjoy the burgers. I am still really disappointed on the lack of the first 3 people caring that NO ONE was taking care of us. It was not packed, a little busy, yes, but there was still open tables. Hi Beth,Thank you for joining us weekend. I'm very sorry you didn't experience the level of service we expect. Please reach out to me directly so I can get some more information to use for training. I would like to prevent this type of experience for happening in the future.Thank you,Christina Suntrup

This place in rosemont /des plaines area doesnât have the full menu like the other downtown flagships . However, it has a nice patio area, beautiful massive bar and then a formal eat in as well. My wife ordered a pasta dish she loved and I ordered the pork chop. Yes, the pork chop was small compared to other places but I ordered it medium and it was the juiciest and best tasting chop Iâve ever had . All sides are a la carte. I will post photos Thank you for visiting Harry's in Rosemont! We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. Unless you were there late at night, the menu would have been the same as our flagship River North location. We'd like to understand what menu you might have received and would appreciate it if you'd reach out to us at [email protected] so that we can learn more. Thanks so much!

Great place to stop for a quick but delicious breakfast. Stopped here to eat before we headed out on a 3 hour drive to go home after returning from a long vacation. The reviews that we read did not disappoint. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious and portions were generous I grew up in Park Ridge but moved away before trying out Macs. Anytime I am back in the area, I will head here to eat!

Having been to the other Hugo's in the Chicago area we figured this one would be a sure thing. It was for the food and the service which were top notch. After all, you do get what you pay for. The downside was that it was very noisy. My wife and I were seated in a booth in the dining room and it was so loud we could not hear each other without using our "outside voices". Took the fun out of the evening. Will not visit this location again

What a great place to enjoy after a day at the convention center directly across the street and beside several hotels. The staff is well trained for this white linen establishment. They have a bar room with tables able to handle singles / couples. Ample seating options and party spots available, would recommend reservations as it does get busy. They seem to deal well with the deluge of orders and service does not suffer. This place exceeded my expectations and will return again and highly recommend.

For centuries, a major part of Irish culture and community has been the Public House. Every town in Ireland has their own pub, a meeting place in which members of the community can gather and relax, celebrate and bond over a pint or a song. The atmosphere
Something about Irish Pubs being consistent across the globe. Good food, cold drinks, and great service. Same can be said for this establishment. Walked in and sat at bar. Bar keep was talking to me before I could sit down. Appetizer served within 5 min. Main course served hot and I mean straight from the oven hot. No sitting around with this team. Definitely recommend.
