we had a fantastic meal tonight at RIVER MILL TAVERN for St Patricks Day. The service was on point; the food was TERRIFIC and our picky eaters did not materialize..... because everything we ordered was DELICIOUS!!we started with corn beef and cabbage egg rolls....which you must try.....there is still sunday to go eat there!!!!!!!then we ordered the shepherd's pie ****Delish!!*** the bangers colcannon......FABULOUS!!!! and the fish and chips.....light as a feather, delicate coating and crispy, tasty fries. we left stuffed (and took our leftovers for lunch tomorrow!!) and gladly go there again and again. don't miss the opportunity to eat here because you will be missing a terrific local restaurant which will restore your faith in eating at a well run establishment.

EAT Gastropub's goal is to bring fresh, "good" (mostly organic and non-GMO) food to the way people EAT. At EGP, we elevate traditional pub cuisine using organic grass-fed beef, fresh produce from our greenhouse, and other homemade or locally sourced food
Perfect lunch - absolutely fabulous Lobster, Mac & Cheese for me - Bacon Cheeseburger for my guest had us know we would be back again. Food was that good. Minor flaw, who charges $2.00 or for that matter any amount of money for club soda?Raise the price of the burger by $2.00 but don't charge for a glass of seltzer.Beyond that, pretty damn good.

The Flour Shoppe is a favorite when visiting Rockville Center. Their tomato soup is incredible and their salads and sandwhiches are fresh and incredibly filling. Try their bread. Itâs freshly baked! The only downside is the place is a bit small and there can be a long wait for a table. The good side to this is they do takeout!

First off, service was fine and friendly. Restaurant week menu for all. Good way to test new places and fine new favs. Menu offerings described embellishments, cuts etc. that were not evident. Bread at table: slightly burnt popovers that appealed to some and not others. Dry toasted bread slices. Butter, maple butter, humus min rosettes were on a small plate. No butter knives provided. Appetizers:Split pea soup, salad, chili and shrimp tacos were good. But ordinary. No steak tips in chili, more like stewed. Mains:Jumbo shrimp w zucchini pasta, olives, capers, tomatoes, pino Grigio, basil was in fact large shrimp, mushy zucchini and tomatoes...basil and pg indiscernible.Steak frites w flat iron steak and truffle fries very good. Pork sugo with tagliatelle was good but again mushy. All ordered the George Martin sundae, which was as described. Very good.

Wow. The food here was fantastic. We had the 22oz dry aged Kansas City strip steak and the stuffed shrimp. The steak was perfect. Flavorful and tender and cooked to order. The stuffed shrimp were very tender and large. A great experience. The venue is old school and very nice. The service was perfect. A perfect Christmas Eve dinner.

This diner serves large portions of well prepared foods in a pleasant environment. The platters came quickly and all of our special requests were fulfilled. The bathroom was clean, and well stocked. Service is friendly and the owner was anxious to talk about his homeland with our Greek friends.

A dinner special for $22 was filling but, lacking the flavor and quality for which diners were once praised. It was OK. Chopped steak arrived well done but tasted fined. A small baked potato, a scoop of steamed vegetables, a small (very small) salad and a thick pasty cup of pea soup (which was not included) rounded out the meal. Again for the price what does one expect? But, it was completely average. I was most disappointed by the pea soup; I use to think that diners were defined by the quality of their pea soup and if that was the case, I'd never return to this diner! Service was fast and the friendly. What caught me off guard was being charged for a refill on the unsweetened Ice Tea. I was told that the reason for being charged twice was that the Ice Tea was a "Fountain" item that was separate from the dinner price. Its all about making ends meet. Average to Sub-average quality, small portions and pricey drinks sounds like a recipe that will either keep the place open or push customers away. Do yourself a favor, order the breakfasts, at least they are consistent and dependable.

I've been to Chadwicks for a few special occasions and hosted a baby shower there too! The food is fantastic and a great treat for a special night out. The location is perfect if you're looking to grab a bite to eat or a drink before heading into the city. The parking on this side of RVC is also better than "down town".Thanks for your review! We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience and we hope to see you again soon! Sincerely,The Team at Chadwicks American Chop House & Bar

I'm out in New York for work and the first region I was at is the Long Island Area. The hotel clerk recommended a restaurant and I was going to go there but there was a dress code. Shorts was not one of those on the list for acceptable. Got on my iPhone and started to search and saw Bigelow's New England Fried Clams was not far away. Drove up and walked right in, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was just cool. The service was top notch, someone was always making sure us customers were being attended too and cups were always filled with whatever drink it was. The regulars were fun to listen to and the owner and son were there and they were chatting it up. It was a great experience and real nice to see that there are business out there that still take care of their customers.I ordered the Clams and fries and was so glad I did. Great fresh taste, a lot of clam strips by the way. Just overall good food, everything that I saw coming out looked really really good. By the way, being in New York I was torn to order Manhattan or New England style clam chowder, I went with the New England, WOW, it was screaming. Tasty and just damn good. If I come back out here again, would love for my famliy to come to this national landmark!!! Place has been there for over 80 years. Wishing them another 80. Thanks for a great experience and for the fantastic food!!
