We wanted to celebrate two special events that took place yesterday 5/18, my son's graduation from UC Merced and my wife's birthday. I checked potential venues in Merced, Fresno, and nearby cities but frankly I had no interest in fast food restaurants or steak houses. I wanted something sophisticated and memorable. Somehow I came across Dewz restaurant online and I was impressed with the history, the menu, and the reviews. I have dinned at some of the finest restaurants around the world but very few places can match Dewz. I was impressed by the service, the quality of the food, and the preparation. Head Chef Connor Carlin has surpassed all my expectations. We had a lovely evening. It's unfortunate that for us in San Diego, Modesto is too far. Otherwise, we would become regulars.

Food good and the place is noisy. Of course, you would expect a rowdy crowd at a pub! Not quite the volume needed to hear your date in a normal conversation. Better time to have a quieter meal is at lunch. We both had fish and chips and the meal came out quickly and hot out of the fryer. Cole slaw is not included with fish and chips so if you got to have slaw order a side because it's worth it and enough for two. Lots of beer choices and good selection. Of course we will return but most likely at an off time.

Huge portions of deliciousness. The salad bar is great and anything on the menu will make you happy. Great place for beef anything. My steak last night was perfect and we sat at the bar and watched the game!

Didn't expect what we walked into.. great customer service, fun Sunday football atmosphere, delicious beer, lots of choices! And the FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! Started with fried mushrooms, had some clam chowder, Cesar salad and the amazing oysters.. â¤even though they took longer than anything they were the best!!!! Oh and the garlic fries were incredible! This place is a hidden gem!

We enjoyed lunch on the patio while traveling with our dog. She sat with us on the patio. Awesome burgers, with many options, including a bun-less option. We had sweet potato fries with ours. Each meal comes with a small ice cream dessert. Highly recommended!

On our way to Yosemite, fromSan Francisco, my husband and I wanted to find a restaurant/cafe not out of our driving route. I googled restaurants and found Cahoots. We decided to try it, and were glad that we did. The line of people, waiting to eat, was a testament to how good the food must be. Families, couples, friends were all enjoying what looked like amazing dishes. I ordered the Mexican scramble; the eggs were not rubbery or runny. They had peppers and chilis and were served with homemade beans. My husband ordered the avocado chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken breast was nicely seasoned and had jack cheese. The potato salad was the way potato salad should be : not drowning in mayonnaise. One word of caution: make sure youâre hungry. The portions are quite large, filling, and delicious.

The parking lot was crowded, that should say a lot for this esquisite spot! Filled with locals, it was a nice atmosphere. There were tables and booths, kinda picnic style, but indoors. Wait staff were very busy and efficient. First you order drinks, then your choice of meal. Didn't take long for the order to arrive. The meal was not only delicious, but plentiful! This a place you must visit if you are ever in Oakdale. I tried it, I liked it and now you the chance to try it!

The greeter Brian was exceptionally friendly and helpful. In fact, I took his advice and had the lunch special. One of the best $6.99 meals I've eaten. I plan to go back for lunch every day and have the lunch special until I've had everything on the menu.

Our third time back since they reopened. Just terrific. We dined on appetizers and libations. Neither of us is really into superlatives, but we concurred these were the best fried 'shrooms EVER! Seriously. That and artichokes and some sliders filled the bill.

I always order the same thing - mushroom burger. Todays was spot on - large mushrooms, well cooked burger, hot, juicy, enough pink - It's not always that way and today no complaints. Audrey our waitress was friendly, efficient, and anticipated our every need even before we needed it - drink refills - napkins - If I could be guaranteed that quality of service and food I would eat there everyday.
