Things to do in Richmond
You would not expect this place located in a travel center. Yolo's restaurant is one of several businesses located in the travel center that contains a convenient store, a deli, an ice cream shop and of course, Yolos. I am not sure how you would classify the restaurant but its food offering is extensive. For breakfast you will find everything from 4 varieties of Eggs Benedict to skillets and omelets as well. For lunch and dinner you can find everything from sandwiches to wings, Broasted Chicken and Burgers of your choice. It is unique that you place your order at a counter and a staff person will deliver the food to you when it is ready. On this visit, our second one, word must be getting out because the restaurant was very busy but we still managed to find a table. My wife choose one of the 5 Egg Benedicts and I chose the Country Skillet. We had a small wait which was understandable as food is cooked to order. The food was served fresh and hot. My wife enjoyed her meal and my Country Skillet was enormous. The Country skillet consisted of a sausage patty, onion, cheddar cheese, sausage gravy with chives and I choice scrambled eggs which was served on top. A flaky butter biscuit was served on the side. My skillet was very favorable and I particularly enjoyed the sausage gravy and the flaky biscuit. We expect to come here often as this place is relatively close and we want to try their Friday Fish Fry and we heard conversations about Saturday Prime Rib. Definitely have to check that out. All in all, if you stop for gas, don't pay at the pump. You have to check out the inside.

Ordered Garden omelette. Pretty big. Came with my favorite hashbrown casserole and toast. Ordered on phone but called 6 times because I kept getting weird message to enter code. Finally got thru and my husband picked it up at their drive thru window. Always good food and service here.
Stopped here for lunch on a drive north into Wisconsin. This is the southernmost restaurant in Richmond, near where US 12 turns off. The sandwich I got was tasty and reasonably priced, and their daily soup was good too! The two people working there I interacted with friendly as well.

Local dining restaurant with a full menu of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Breakfast is served all day and lots of food for the price. Coffee was excellent, and they keep the cups full. The service was very good and the place is clean inside.

After a day trip to Chicago we stopped at Dog N Suds for supper on our way home. The food and atmosphere were great and the kids had a blast eating outside on the tables. If we are ever passing through Richmond again we will definitely stop!

Went there 2 weeks in a row now. We travel from Niles just to have the Sauerkraut brat with the outstanding Tavern Fries. Probably will go there next Sunday also.

Stopped here after cutting down our Christmas tree in Spring Grove. Good menu , friendly waitress. However, she made a mistake on the pricing of our order and when we pointed it out she apologized but didn't change anything. it had to do with whether or not the free soup with a sandwich included chili. We had asked and she said yes but were charged for it. She said she didn't understand what we had asked. Not a big deal but it would have been nice if she had taken the charge off the bill. It wouldn't keep us from returning.

Have to admit I didnât know what a fish boil is and coming from the west coast, thought it would contain a variety of fish. It very well may have but it all looked like the same pieces of white fish. Yes, it was tasty, but a plateful of boiled fish seems strange to me. We also ordered the bbq chicken, 2 pieces served at a time unless you ask for more. I could see the giant bbq area outside but that made me wonder all the more why the chicken comes drenched in bbq sauce. Guess I just have to get on board with the WI interpretation of what bbq chicken is. Again, the chicken was good but prefer adding my own sauce if I want it.An old Victorian looking home has been converted to dining rooms with a buffet line on each of the two floors. A server dishes out your food with choices including boiled potatoes, creamy close slaw, fish, chicken, or ribs, or a combo of fish and ribs. My recollection is fish and chicken dinners are $15 each, ribs are $16, and the combo plate $19. CASH ONLY. An ATM located in the restaurant. Pick your main course and pay for it before being seated. No switching main courses. Hubby and I each chose different items then tasted from one anotherâs plate.Dinner also comes with bread and butter, and apple slice pastry for desert, a sign beside the pastry says something to the effect of one per diner. A full bar is available but we all drank water. Not sure if dinner includes any other beverage. Go through the buffet line as often as you like. Rooms are very dimly lit. No reservations accepted. Expect a brief wait if you come 20-30 minutes after opening. For a place that serves buffet style I expected more than aluminum pans with warmers to keep food hot. You may wait for main dishes to be restocked on the line. Hubby went back 3 times before he could get fish boil seconds. I can see how popular a place this is but frankly, I just donât get it.

Took family here for birthday dinner. Love the quaint atmosphere. Servers are all so friendly and helpful. Never had a bad meal. But the Broadway Shrimp was AMAZING. Definitely a place we will return to again and again!
