Found this family run restaurant driving by looking for breakfast. Western cheese omelette was one of the best. Waffles and pancakes looked like something I would like to try. Based upon my breakfast experience I would love to try lunch and dinner. High quality and cooked to order. Generous servings. Bacon extra crispy if requested. Great service. The people there are glad to serve you. Didn't even know this place was highly rated until later. It is a real find.

First of all we didn't order off the menu, per se. We had a couple sampler platters for our small group, but everything we had was food that could be ordered individually or as part of the many combos available on the menu. We opened up with a cup of gator gumbo and it was superb, thick, with a nutty roux. Then came the incredible platters with fried and steamed shrimp, clams (cooked perfectly) succulent, salty steamed oysters, gently fried rock lobster, fried and blackened snapper and fried mullet. Personally, I loved everything but the mullet. It's often a featured item on the menu but General Manager Jerry Collins said they're happy to let customers try a sample piece before they decide on ordering a full plate or an "all-you-can-eat" special. The restaurant specializes in blue crabs, but crabs were unavailable during our visit (not due to any fault of the restaurant). We didn't miss them. If you are a seafood nut, give this place a try when near Punta Gorda.

River city Grill did an excellent job accommodating our large group for lunch. They were prepared with tables set including water and menus for each person. The food was excellent and our servers Jennifer and Kristan were attentive to our needs.

Clean, server was great and food was very good. Not fancy, but, family type restaurant. I had their beef liver and hubby had a breakfast meal. The liver was done just the way I asked for it to be done. My husband couldn't even finish all his breakfast because it was such a generous portion and he said it was very good.

This is an annual event in the summer. So the annual dinner was 8.21.19. Had to make reservations. 3 courses, $25/pp. We got there @ 5:15 and it was jammed. Extra tables had been added. 50 were on waiting list, so couldnât attend. 1st course choice of house or Caesar salad, or gazpacho. 2nd course, choice of bison meatloaf, braised short rib, pork chop, Faroe Island salmon, or Boulibase, dessert choice of chocolate cake or cheesecake. 6 @ our table. 2 meatloaf, 3 salmon and 1 short rib. Everything was top notch. And kudos to both the kitchen and wait staff. Timing perfect between courses. One more kudo, thank you Father Jerry for putting this dinner together.

The Blue Turtle offer unique settings in each of its spaces. The impressive fireplace area is flanked with ceiling-high bookcases, reminiscent of an exclusive club. The Claw Bar area showcases the abundance of a coastal tavern spilling the day's catch on
Closed Sundays in summer? Or July? Not sure. We drove from North Fort Myers to Punta Gorda for dinner on Sunday. The phone answering machine does not inform you of this. Doesnât say anything. Donât go Sundays till âin-seasonâ? Clarify before you go. Just advice. Their website does not clarify this either.

The Orange House is combination Bistro and Wine Bar. We offer small plates of various portions. You may snack on imported olives, nibble on a Artisan Cheese Plate, or if you are up for something a bit heartier...you can choose a Flatbread or Wine Bar Plat
Who would have thought you could get a good breakfast at a wine bar. Well, you can here. I had the ham & cheese quiche of the day, while my wife had biscuits with bacon, tomato and/or sausage gravy. My quiche came with a great arugula and spinach salad, her bacon was crisp as ordered. We had the place to ourselves for all intents and purposes. Bianca was a great waitress and Lisa did a bang up job in the kitchen. They never did tell me what wine paired with scrambled eggs tho....
