Had mine and my wife's 20th anniversary dinner there and left there extremely pleased. Had the tamales and fried oysters for our starter with the main course being a 2 pound cowboy cut ribeye (SUPERB). The entire staff we encountered were wonderful with a grill wrangler who knew what he was doing. The searing left an excellent char and the steak after resting 10 minutes was a perfectly cooked medium. We have found our new steakhouse and will return.Hey Ralph,A belated thank you for leaving a review! So happy y'all decided to share your special occasion with us and enjoyed everything!

Went there for dinner at the hotels recommendation, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great, right along with the service. The staff was really friendly, it was clean and had a large selection of food. Would highly recommended the alligator appetizer that they have.

The menu has a wide variety of choice ranging from seafood to hamburgers. Food was fresh and hot. Restaurant was very clean and staff was helpful. It also has a nice bar area for those wishing to have a cocktail.

Conveniently located in Downtown Baton Rouge this is a must if you love goo wines at great prices. They have a happy hour special on bottles. At Blend, they create an atmosphere that blends exceptional wines, exquisite tastes, and freshly-mixed specialty cocktails with great company. Their eclectic architectural designs of wooden beams and exposed brick with modern touches creates an atmosphere that is perfect for an evening out, finishing a business meeting, or a celebratory event. This is my favorite downtown spot. Easy walking distance from all hotels.

My friends and I stopped in yesterday for milkshakes after we finished an escape game down the road around 5:30pm. I really liked how the diner is from the 1950s and you can definitely tell they've kept the charm. We all got different shakes: chocolate, black and white, vanilla, pineapple. I got the pineapple shake and it made me very happy. :) The ladies manning the counter were very nice!

I can't believe I'm writing a negative review for TJ Ribs! Because we love this place and we eat here all the time - but yesterday - our Easter Dinner was not so good. They had an Easter Special menu of Prime Rib. So we jumped on it thinking that even tho Prime Rib is not their specialty - it ought to be GOOD because you know...this is a meat place. It was absolute terrible! First bite out of all our Prime Ribs...we all looked at each other....as we chewed...chewed...chewed. It was so tough...we couldn't even chew it! LOL We all switched plates around to see if maybe it was just us...no one could chew the prime rib it was so tough. (Now...so they were all Med Rare so it wasn't the cook temp). It was crazy! Now...the positives about TJ Ribs Easter Dinner. SUPER POLITE!! SUPER QUICK!!! We all decided to not say anything because they would only bring us MORE tough prime rib...and we didn't want to make a scene. But it was a huge waste of money for an Easter Dinner! We didn't want to waste all the meat entirely - so we brought it all home - and the Dog LOVED IT!! My suggestion to TJ Ribs...stick to what you do best...Ribs and Chicken. Don't do the Prime Rib again...EVER.

The food is served in cafeteria chipped plates and silverware, which is ok, but the oysters were gross and the food was really average compared with so many other places in the area. Sweet service, place packs. But I'd rather go elsewhere when in town.

Great place to grab a quality meal and a beer (or two) close to campus. Wide menu options and great service hit you right away. The beer menu is VAST (with an Around the World experience available). The grilled pork chops and buffalo chicken were excellent. Prices were very good and service was on point. Plenty of seating options. There is very limited parking on the street, but there is a lot in the rear of the building (on Chimes St). Lemon Ice Box pie was also a hit! Great student hangout, but also great for families.

When you go to a restaurant famous for anything, get it. We visited Lloydâs twice while visiting Baton Rouge for a wedding. The first visit we ordered seafood, and well, there is no sea in Baton Rouge so I donât know why I did that. The second visit we ordered a roast beef poboy and it was excellent. Just as good as any New Orleans poboy I have ever had. The restaurant is a very old school diner type and very enjoyable. The staff are all very nice and will conversate with you all afternoon if you give them the chance. Definitely a must do in Baton Rouge.

The food here was lovely, I had short rib which had obviously been slow cooked so was lovely and tender. The accompanying greens were cooked well as was the polenta. My dish cost $28, which when 1 piece of short rib arrived - I was pretty disappointed. Rib is not an expensive cut, nor particularly meaty! I have attached photos of what was left (sinew/fat etc)... nice food but pretty miserable portions. Wine was also expensive at $14 a glass for a mid range choice. Staff were very pleasant, tho it took me to ask twice for a clean glass (first one cloudy). Overall a pleasant experience, tho I would perhaps choose something else from the menu. I was told the food would take 15-20 mins for it to be ready which is perfectly acceptable, any sooner would not be a good sign in my book. Good comms from the waiter re this as it was nice to know so I could order more wine. Great food, just wish I'd chosen the rib eye which was on special.
