Reviews on American food in Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States. It's no wonder that the Pilgrims fell in love with America when they landed at gorgeous Plymouth, set in the calm waters of Plymouth Harbor along Cape Cod Bay. It was here that the first English colonists made war and then peace with the Natives, celebrating their newfound cooperation with the first Thanksgiving dinner. Visit the landmarks that honor this piece of American history, from Plymouth Rock to Mayflower II to Burial Hill. Or just enjoy the sandy beaches and calm sea breeze.

Stopped in fro an early lunch while visiting some local spots. Sandwiches were good portioned size and had a mimosa to go along with them !! Offer some unique special coffees as well. Prices were mid range and service was great.

I have eaten at the Rye Tavern many times and love sitting at the outside bar or tables. The surrounding area of gardens and fields makes it a truly special place to dine. We were lucky and got two seats at the bar and the service was great and the drinks were great. The food was very much a disappointment. I ordered the lobster roll it it had so little lobster it did not even cover the bottom of the bun. They spread each piece out and still could not cover the bun or reach the edges of the bread. I am a huge lobster roll fan and Iâve never been served anything like this in my life. My husband ordered the baked eggplant and it also was a very small portion. He often does not finish his meal and this time he had no problem and couldâve eaten more. Iâm not sure whatâs happened as weâve never run into this at The Rye Tavern before but I donât think we will be rushing back iâm sad to say.

"The CabbyShack, on historic Plymouth harbor, is the spot for gorgeous views, tons of seats under the sun, live music all season long, and seafood so fresh it practically jumps straight from the ocean to the kitchen. The basic boiled lobster weighs in at
We are British tourists visiting New England and we were looking for outside space to sit in the evening sun with a drink. We Discovered this place and ordered pint of Downeast Cider and Samuel Adams lager both Boston beverages that did not disappoint. The bar was busy and the atmosphere pleasant and the ocean view amazing. We decided to stay for pizza which was delicious. The waitress and the barmaid were both very chatty & helpful.

We went here the other night before seeing a show at the Plymouth Memorial Hall. We sat at the bar. The bartender was nice and served us quickly. The atmosphere was comfortable but a little on the dark side. The menu looked like it had something for everyone, and the food we saw others eating at the bar looked good. Not a bad place to stop for a drink before or after the show across the street.

Nice casual place - can eat outside on the deck. Fish sandwich was crispy but not greasy. Flavorful tartar sauce. One of us enjoyed the shrimp bowl. Nice mix of Cuban Caribbean and Mass flavors. Would definitely go back!

Visiting family, we were taken to East Bay Grill since it was close to their home. We were so impressed, we went back a second time during our visit. The staff is friendly to a flaw; my sister and brother and law are regulars so that may have been a contributing factor. We were seated on a large veranda on a very pleasant day. We enjoyed cocktails; the dirty Saphire martini was excellent, with the server honoring my request for olives stuffed with blue cheese. The first time I had the Scrod, a baked cod dish that was excellent. The second time I had the sword fish that was also outstanding. Highly recommended!

New Restaurant - seafood -excellent!!!!
We stopped on our way to Plymouth, hoping to find some good lobster rolls for lunch. We were not disappointed, in fact we had the biggest and possibly the best lobster rolls of our lifetime! Admittedly, we are from Delaware, where lobster is not so readily available. Service, atmosphere, and drinks were also good. We were pleased also with their sweet potato fries, and sautéed spinach, and decided we had so much to eat we would only need something light later for dinner. Highly recommended.

Dillon's Local is a cozy watering hole in downtown Plymouth serving delicious comfort food, locally sourced specials, handcrafted cocktails and great, local beer.
We went in a dinner time and were seated immediately. Although not directly on the water, it's very close and the food is so good. Hubby had the Shepherd Pie which he said was excellent, I had the fish tacos which I've eaten lots of places, these were the very best I've ever had. Locally owned, you can't go wrong here!

KKatie's Burger Bar was a great lunch spot to sit and relax and enjoy good American style food. We enjoyed it for lunch during a day of touring.

We were heading off the cape to Boston and really hungry. Decided to take a chance and pull off. Landed lucky and found a lovely hidden gem within Pinetrees. So pretty, with the Blueberry Muffin tucked in the corner. Lovely table on the veranda and service was really good. We ordered pancakes and waffles and a real treat. Food was absolutely gorgeous and devoured by everyone!
