Just off the Taconic
This is our go-to spot after the flea market in Stormville. Big menu that will satisfy any craving you have. They give large portions and the food is fresh and hot. Good service. Never a bad meal here. Easy off-on from the Taconic,,, Take the Route 55 exit and go west for about a mile.

Stopped in for a relaxed lunch and we were not disappointed. Bartender has a good hand and the menu has enough choices for a variety of tastes. Started with the steamed clams - choice of ale or wine preparation. We had the wings, (about 8 preparation choices), and the chicken salad. Our server, Therese, was very attentive and the food preparation and presentation was excellent. Also, good Tuesday afternoon crowd for the outdoor patio. Worth a try.

I really wish I could give them a better review but I canât. I have gone twice and the food just couldnât cut it. My last visit I order a burger medium well not a hard item to cook. Well they screwed it up again, the burger started out medium to medium rare then I got to the center and it was rare !!!So either one of two things the cook has no clue on how to make a burger or use a thermometer or it was frozen when it was put on the grill. The beer was ok nothing spectacular, with the amount of micro breweries an breweries you should be on your A game and your not even in the major leagues !!Sorry I wonât be trying your establishment again

Like most diners you can get just about anything you want, from lobster to lox on a bagel...but what is truly unique about the Eveready is the awesome atmosphere! We go there after just about every school event for a milkshake and fries. Inevitably we meet several people we know and it makes the dining experience that much sweeter! A truly warm and friendly meeting place...a real gem in Hyde Park!

Mill House Brewing Company opened in the Fall of 2013. For us, it is the culmination of years of professional culinary/hospitality experience, expressive design and construction, and craft beer artistry. Located in the rehabilitated Mill House, Mill House
When I see a brew pub, I typically assume that the food will be passable pub fare. Burgers, fries, a token salad or two. This place shattered my expectations! The menu was ecclectic, yet balanced. Truffle arancini. Charcuterie. Burgers and salads that sounded creative and appetizing. Unlike many restaurants that try to be original, but instead cram too much into a dish, the creativity here was perfect. If you want a chicken sandwich, you don't have to say "hold the avocado, radishes, and kiwi/porcinini mushroom aeoli please." Instead, everything sounded harmonious, yet, fresh and original. The pork schnitzel deserves its own paragraph. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Amazing mustard-crea-au jus sauce, but not smothered in it. Mustard spaetzel that has ruined me for all other spaetzel. And red cabbage that was so delicious it could have been a dish all its own!I live about an hour and 20 min from this place, and I'm already thinking of when I can return!Oh, and the beer was excellent, too!

A 70 seat American-Fusion Restaurant, the only one in the area using truly local ingredients and changes thier menu every two weeks based on the availability of products. Both the beer menu and wine list are extensive and reasonable. As well one of the on
The Artist's Palate is a refreshing dining experience in the heart of downtown Poughkeepsie. The menu is very creative with interesting flavor combinations incorporating more vegetables and elevating them them to equal status of the protein so they're not just an after thought. (I so dislike restaurants that focus on the protein with sides of julienned veggies!) I would have rated it with 4-5 stars but....I have food allergies and I specifically stated no butter...no dairy at all but in the course of eating it I realized there had to be butter in the brussels sprouts because I had the usual allergic reactions and felt sick all afternoon and I'm still feeling the consequences this morning! So annoying! If you have food allergies I would highly suggest speaking directly with the chef....not to say our server didn't follow through....but just to be sure!

With a focus on the seasons and products of the Hudson Valley, contemporary and traditional regional dishes are brought to life at the American Bounty Restaurant in an honest and flavorful way. Rounded out with a first-class American wine list and comfort
For years I had heard of the Culinary Institute. What a treat when I was invited to dine at the American Bounty! The building that houses many of the restaurants is beautiful with marble floors and warm wood trim. It was so interesting seeing many students bustling in the kitchen and serving at the tables. Roland was our friendly server who was so patient answering our many questions about the school. My grilled salmon plate looked as wonderful as it tasted!

Restaurant and wine bar serving house made pasta and other Hudson Valley foods. Featuring scenic views of the Hudson and the Walkway and self serve wine machines as well as eight craft beers on tap, a full bar and thirteen wines by the glass.
I've been here a number of times and always enjoyed the food. They change the menu seasonally and specials nightly. The bartender/mixologist, Deb, creates some amazing, original special cocktails too. It is worth talking to her about it, it's really interesting.Itâs great to hear that youâre one of our regulars here at the Nic L inn! That is the best compliment in it self, and then to share this 5 star review is another.......thank you so much!! Weâre glad to hear that you always enjoy the food and like the idea that we change our menu seasonally. It allows us to take advantage of locally sourced ingredients. Deb is great at what she does, creating cocktails to go along with the season as well. Thanks again, and CHEERS till next time .
