Since 2002, jojo has been the stalwart on the Rochester suburban dining scene. Occupying a former train station across from the historic Del Monte Hotel, the unique cozy atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable evening. Classic chef-driven recipes lead t
Weeknight dinner with friends. The company was exceptional, the food and drink were fair. JoJo Bistro and Wine Bar. I think the only thing that makes it a bistro is that they serve frites (fries) with each of the meat entrees. It is not particularly small or intimate, it is not particularly French. The tables are very small. one of our party ordered a pizza, which was served on an elevated pizza stand so that it was basically at chin-height for her. She was also not offered a plate (nor was there room for a plate on the table.) The pizza was fine, but very blonde underneath - no good crispy snap. I had the Tuesday night special which is always a pork chop. It was tasty with lots of five spice flavor, but very, very, very tough, which is surprising since it is advertised as having a three-day brine. Another of our party had the JoJo Burger and ordered it well done. It was medium, verging on medium rare. It is also notable that the menu is mostly a la carte, so if you want a salad with your $20 dinner entree, that will be another $7-$12. Make sure to ask for bread. It is not offered unless requested. The wine by the glass list is about as basic as any restaurant in Rochester. Cheap basic, reliable but unremarkable offerings like a Ruffino pinot grigio, a Ravenswood zinfandel, a Cavit moscato. These are readily available $10-$15 bottles at any local liquor store. Perfectly fine and serviceable wines that I would expect at any mid-range local restaurant. At a place that touts itself as a wine bar, I would expect a better selection. The bottle list is a little more adventurous. The beer selection is entirely pedestrian with michelob, coors light, bud and all their pals. It was nice to see a local craft brew on the tap list, but as far as selection goes, this is not a place to expect too much. All in all, it is an o.k. place with o.k. food and o.k. beverages. It is no wine bar for sure.

When is a grocery store a tourist destination? When it's Wegmans flagship store. I'ts sensory overload. The cafe has a dizzying variety of prepared meals. You could visit every day for a year and not eat the same thing twice. Gourmet, vegan, kosher, Asian, BBQ, Mexican, you name it, they have it. People from out of town seek it out and are overwhelmed, and envious. Lots of locals know and love it and the bustling about makes it the Grand Central Station of grocery stores. For a quieter spot to enjoy your meal, head upstairs. If I ever moved, I'd miss this place.

They still don't take credit cards..but they DO take personal checks! They are so nice, always willing to substitute, omit..mix and match items. Whatever you want, if they have it they will do it. Good food..nice folks.

Wow â this was a GREAT meal! It was our second trip to this Wegmanâs-owned restaurant, and it was every bit as good as our first visit. I had a memorable beet salad for my appetizer, and the poke bowl for my entrée. I thought they were both superb, and the setting was wonderful as well. (The décor inside this place is pretty trendyâ¦nice!) I highly recommend this restaurant for the experience and the fine dining.

The Cheesecake Factory offers something for everyone featuring a wide variety of over 200 menu items prepared fresh to order each day, plus over 30 legendary varieties of the Finest Cheesecake.
We have eaten here with grandkids a number of times over the years, and generally have not been satisfied with the quality of the dishes.Last April, the veggie burger ($13.50) was very good, but this time (in July) it was tasteless. The grilled salmon ($20) also wasn't well prepared. The side salad needed more dressing and some of the strawberries in the dessert were going bad.A decent appetizer, however, was the grilled artichoke ($9).The service was very good.Hi Maineguy777. We're so sorry about your meal and hope you can give us another chance. Next time, if anything happens to disappoint you, please let our managers know so we can make it right while you are dining with us. Thank you for your feedback.

n 1981, the Bryants, a couple of Rochester teachers asked themselves, "What can we do to earn some extra cash over the summer?" Their answer: serving fruit salad at the Corn Hill Arts Festival.
Today we enjoyed this restaurant for the first time. The menu was incredible. It was hard to choose. The chicken waldorf sandwich was fabulous. The owner took time to talk with us and give us interesting information about the restaurant and neighborhood. He even let us sample two of the soups. They had great flavors. We just moed to the area and this is my new favorite place to go. The atmsophere is friendly, andcomfortable seating.

Showed up 15 minutes before Happy Hour and the server refused to let us use the Happy Hour menu. Made us wait 15 minutes or pay the higher prices. Not what I would expect from an SPG Renaissance property.Net time we are in town, I won't stay here.JZgolfer,Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your experience. Please accept my apologies for any miscommunication. Our sales system is set up by service times; the happy hour menu is not visible in the system until 4:00 pm. The server certainly could have handled the situation differently. Thanks for bringing this to our attention and we hope you change your mind and give us another try.

A full service, "polished casual" restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Beer, wine, specialty coffees & frozen drinks, served year round! We take the mystery out of crepes by fusing a French Canadian crepe, family traditions and America
This is a cozy place (small). It's loud and crowded. But it's cute, excellent service and decent menu choices. The crepes themselves are very bland (boring), not much taste. The fillings and toppings make the difference for what you order. The portions are a decent size, bordering on large. We all thought it was pricey for a crepe place ($70 for 5 of us for breakfast and no alcohol or special drinks) They do not take reservations. Plenty of parking in the area if you get there early enough.

I have been going to BB for the past 16 years. I have praised this restaurant in my past reviews. Today was my first big disappointment. We had a reservation for a birthday dinner. When we were seated the server asked if we were celebrating anything special and I have indicated it was my birthday. She wished me happy birthday and proceeded with the order.I requested an oyster martini which the restaurant has offered for years. The server seemed confused, and I assured her that BB makes these as I had them before. The serverâs assistant spilled our bread over the table, and then spilled water on my not-so-cheap purse and the chair while pouring it into our glasses. He didnât notice anything.Towards the end of our meal a large party arrived and was seated next to our booth. Our server lost interest in us all together. I wasnât offered a refill on my soda even though the glass was empty. Then, we received the bill but no champagne or birthday cake (it was customary of BB to offer these to us in the past years for birthdays and anniversaries). So, I asked the server if there was a reason why the table next to us celebrated a birthday with a cake while we werenât offered any. She claimed she was new and she wasnât aware. Then I reminded her that I told her personally what the occasion was when she asked us at the beginning of the evening. She changed her story into saying it was her mistake. We waited 15 minutes for the cake which was pathetic.Additionally, at the beginning of the evening I asked the server to put the points for the dinner on my VIP card, and since I didnât have it with me I would give her my name towards the end of the dinner. She didnât listen and put the points on my husbandâs card. I told her I asked specifically to put the point in my card as my husband doesnât use his and they would be lost. She informed us this would not be possible. So, I asked for the manager. She was unhappy about it.The manager fixed the points issue, but the evening was a big disappointment. Iâm giving BB 3 stars as my food was good. Otherwise, it would be one star.Thank you for reaching out regarding your disappointing experience. We would like to apologize for your disappointing birthday dinner. If you are open to sharing more with us, please consider emailing [email protected]. We would like the opportunity to make up for our mistakes!
