Staying at the Lodge & Spa at Callaway, we were enjoying relaxing and not having to go offsite for an enjoyable evening. We went to Casonâs to take a look and wound up staying for the night. The place is fresh and nicely done, with an upscale lodge feel. The staff was excellent. Brandi and Rebecca were great. We had first class service from the time we arrived until the moment we left. The bar is large and seats plenty, which is a nice touch. The drink menu is nicely optioned as is the wine list. If youâre into whiskey, youâll thoroughly enjoy. Dinner was also a good. The menu has plenty of options from appetizers, bar food and entree items. We had burgers and they were perfect. We werenât looking for big food, so these fit the bill. The live music was a nice touch as well this is a great place to hang out and relax and be treated like you are somebody. Well done Callaway. Thank you for your review! We hope you visit us again soon.

When we walked in to an empty room, the Waiter/Host asked us if we had reservations, we did not but he seated us anyway on the back deck overlooking the serpentine bridge and lake. The Service was not all that great, the restaurant never did get very full and the food was pricey. I had a $28 piece of chicken which was very good, my wife had the asparagus salad which was very small. Dear TioJuanito,Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We apologize for any short comings you may have experienced on our part. We do hope that you will return and give us another chance to win you over.

Chalet type structure in quaint wooded setting2 miles west of Pine Mountain at 14661 Ga Hwy 18
After searching for an appropriate place to celebrate our anniversary with 11 family members, we found Cricketâs. Mary looked after our party of 5 kids and 6 adults as if we were her one. We were delighted to find some Louisiana specialties in addition to the traditional offerings. The combination of delicious food and the warm, welcoming service sent us off with big smiles. The next time weâre in the Pine Mountain area, weâll be sure to stop again at Cricketâs Restaurant!

This is simple, down-home grub. Biscuits were fresh and hot from the oven. Went for Bfast and the offer menu or buffet. Staff was super friendly and food was spectacular.

We arrived and the door was locked - guess someone forgot to open itWe waited a few minutes and a waitress came to the door. The menu is set with various items. My wife chose the pasta and veggies and received a plate of veggies and very little pasta - the veggies were cool and undercooked. The pasta was nearly devoid of sauce and she rated it a 1 and one of the worst meals in a while but we're in Pine Mtn. Ga and not LaGrange where we had better meals for similar costs.I chose the trout which was cooked fine but no sauce since I had to be GF and the waitress told me that they don't do exceptions or substitutions so it was baked and slightly moist. The rice tasted like it was from a wild rice mix - clumpyOverall, the meal was okay but wouldn't rate it anything more than 2 stars.

My husband, a friend and I ate dinner there, not once, but twice!!! it was that good.First night my friend and I ordered the fried shrimp...it was the best (lightly breaded, crisp and not greasy). The seafood sauce has fresh horseradish, so take a small amount till you get use to it. My husband raved about the fried oysters, which our waitress Anna, hooked him up on.Two nights later, we were back for our last night in Pine Mountain. This time our server was a guy named Cameron, who looks just like the young Nickolas Cage (Raising Arizona Movie). He's a cute guy hoping to get into acting. He can also do impersonations of Cage. My friend and I had shrimp again, this time I had the blackened shrimp...I was not disappointed!!!Excellent food and service. The restaurant looks as if it could have been an old "Huddle House". The restaurant seems to draw a crowd every night... no reservations and no frills.
