We stopped for a quick bite after shopping and the restaurant was clean and very quiet -- often times these places are so noisy you can barely hear yourself chew...I really like the newer sauces that Arby's offers as well (More than just the Arby's and Horsey sauces) Check it out for your next meal. I rang the Bell for great Service!

I had Sunday morning breakfast here, the only place downtown other than fast food that appeared to be open. Atmosphere was standard restaurant with a bit of wear, but it was clean and comfortable. Food was brought quickly and was good. Service was not enthusiastic, but it was courteous and prompt.

We have eaten at Auntie Ann's on a couple of occasions. The food is good country cooking and the portions are generous. The cost of eating here is very reasonable and the menu choices are varied but unoriginal. With that said, the servers seem like they are there because they are on some type of work release program. The place barely passes the cleanliness test and the utensils look like something out of an army mess kit. Nonetheless, I would consider stopping and eating there again while passing through Pickens

We were new to town and went here for dinner on a week night. You can order from a menu or get the buffet. A 6-oz. burger plate was the nightly special and we stayed with that. With a side of onion rings, we were full when we finished. The food was very good. Our server was one of the best ever. Very friendly and efficient.
They have been open for awhile and we finally dropped in. We ordered simply. Chopped steak. This burger sized bit of meat has never been a steak. It was ground meat. Sorry. About 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes came was ordered with it as a side. these 2 small pieces of food looked very sad on my large plate. Wife ordered fries and chicken tenders. OK, not great. But was cheaper for more food than I got for almost double the price. And, from order to getting food was a looooong wait. At this point, I expect them to fold up. But, will look in on them in 3 months or so to see if there are improvements. If not, I'll rate them at the bottom.
A prohibition style speakeasy in the heart of Pickens, SC. 5 minutes to the Blue Ridge Mountains, 20 minutes to Lake Keowee, Lake Jocassee, and Lake Hartwell. Our place is just a few blocks from the well known 12 mile Doodle Trail that connects Pickens, S
Cozy speak-easy style little downstairs pub. An ever rotating menu of craft and local microbrews. You won't find your standard cheap domestics here. The appetizer type food pairs well with the drinks. They also have wines, and for the kids they keep an amazing root beer on tap. Friendly staff, and great entertainment. Some Saturdays food trucks come so you can grab a meal and take it into the ale house with you.

Upscale bar and restaurant in the heart of sleepy little downtown Pickens SC. Has a homey feel with a array of beers on tap and in bottles and a large variety of liquors and wines. Pool tables and dart boards for the young at heart downstairs and a large
Been there for lunch, dinner and drinks. Always nice. Sort of a locals place. Nicely done with bar and booths. Very pleasant staff and friendly atmosphere. Seems like most of the people know each other. Not a scary beer joint. Very clean and well run, certainly. A nice place to stop in for a drink and a meal.

We recently discovered Heidi's Hot Dogs (which are excellent) but wanted to try her Hamburger. We asked to delete the lettuce and tomato and substitute coleslaw and chili with mustard. OMG. Best hamburger I've had since I was a kid, and that was a really long time ago. It is handmade, not a frozen patty. Well done and juicy. It will be difficult to get anything different next time.

If you enjoy a "hole in the wall" kind of place (and we do!), this is a place to find. From the outside it looks really small, but inside it has lots of tables and seating. Pretty straight forward type of food, burgers and hotdogs, etc. Breakfast too.

Went in to Aunt Sueâs on a Tuesday afternoon about 2 pm. Even though it was an off hour, the restaurant was still fairly busy. The menu offerings were fairly simple: a few hot or cold sandwiches, salads, a kidsâ menu and two specials. The specials were meat loaf or ham, green beans, macaroni and cheese, tea or coffee, a roll and blackberry cobbler for $11.89 plus tax. Expecting typical meat and two fare, I absentmindedly took a bite. The obviously made-from-scratch macaroni and cheese brought me out of my reverie. Wow! This stuff was good! They used real sharp cheddar, not that tasteless sauce so many restaurants use. The meatloaf was really perfect. And the roll was amazing. It was just barely crispy on the outside with a soft, chewy yeasty inside. The green beans were good, as was the simple blackberry cobbler. Not too sweet- not too much or too little- although the overall portions were very generous. There are quaint rocking chairs on the porch, so you can sit a while and visit afterwards while your food settles.
