We came here on our way back from Manchester to Keene. I've always known about this place and have heard good things. We came on a quiet Sunday night just before Christmas around 9pm. Place was really quiet, but staff were very attentive. We ordered bowls of the special Scallop and Bacon Chowder and a beer. We were stuffed after eating the bowl as it was a very large size. I wanted to order more food but just didn't have the space to eat it. Waitress was very bubbly and outgoing polite to all of her tables. Very sweet. We will be back with empty stomachs next time to try other dishes.

After a morning walk we ended up in the bookstore for breakfast. They make a very good cup of coffee and the orange-pecan scones were wonderful. My friend had the homemade cereal which was a granola-like mix and she exclaimed it was the best she ever had. There were breakfast bowl which were a variety of fresh ingredients and would make a good brunch. Then food service is in the front corner of the bookstore and is decorated with local artwork. A low-keyed small town find. You might even find a book to read.

Our coffee was bitter, my poached egg was hard boiled but the Canadian bacon was good. My husband had a typical eggs and sausage with potatoes that was good but not remarkable. This is a popular local eatery with very friendly staff but the food was not predictably good.

Nice little place to enjoy lunch. Their wraps are so big and delicious. You could easily split between two people. My granddaughter ordered the sesame chicken fingers, they were also big and tasted fantastic. You must order at the counter and your meal is made fresh right in front of you. You can sit either inside or outside.

Cooper's Hill Public House is an Irish-inspired pub in downtown Peterborough with the largest selection of whiskeys in the state of NH.
The Peterborough Players Tuesday matinee ended at 415pm, the restaurant opened at 4pm, and we were able to eat outdoors on a beautiful day. My gluten free wife had shepard's pie and I had a salmon dinner with lots of vegetables; both entrees were excellent. A couple of nits: the salads had some wilted leaves, and when we asked for more ranch dressing, we were charged 75 cents.

Wasn't so impressed with the food. Dissappointed as it came with good reviews....nothing special. I might try it again next time I'm in Peterbourough.

Because the meals we have received here have been exceptionally good, we have made lunch here part of our routine. Today I had Fish and Chips and my wife had the Tuna Melt. Both entries were very good! The fish in my Fish and Chips was prepared very well in that it was well seasoned, moist and cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed the Tuna Melt. Everything we ate was done well.We are glad you joined us for lunch at our beautiful restaurant, and enjoyed your lunch. We look forward to seeing you again soon. thank youGinaFOH Manager

We arrived for a 7:00 reservation. We stood while tables reserved for 7:15 & 7:30 were sat (including a party of 2 & a party of 5 when were a party of four,).I complained after a half hour. the hostess was very nice and gracious and said she was doing everything she could do and I think that was true, but we never saw a manager or anyone who had any type of authority on the floor. When we were sat 45 minutes after our reservation time we tried to be gracious about it because we understood it wasn't our waitresses fault. The food itself was amazing!!! Great kitchen staff, great cooks, little snippets of technique, like the vegetable cuts on the garnish of the ribs, those were amazing. If you could have seated me a half hour earlier, or made me feel like you cared more about my night sucking I would have rated you higher. You have great food in a great place but your front of the house staff is way overworked

You can also walk around in their gardens, go in the gift shop or just sit outside and enjoy the beauty.Thank you! Just want to let you know that the first day of the menu is very hectic.
