This is a real old fashion family type restaurant. The food is wonderful for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Their fried chicken special on Wednesday nights is some of the best chicken we have ever eaten. We have never had a bad meal here. The service is friendly and the atmosphere casual.

Passing through Palatka, we stopped at Lori's for lunch. Obviously, all locals here, and I know why .... food is tasty, and affordable. Ordered the 1/2 lb. cheeseburger, (made fresh daily) and a side of mustard greens ... delicious. My friend ordered the tuna melt, again tasty. Small family operation, and the staff are all friendly and helpful.

Sonny's BBQ of Palatka. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
Sonny's is a chain resturant and the menu is pretty much the same at all of them, But this location seems to do it better than the rest. The cooks seem to take pride in their work and the product shows it. Truth be told, I'm always traveling when i go through Palatka so I use the take out widow and have never even been inside. But that gives me a prespective based strickly on the quality of the food, and i find it's excellent.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have ate here for years but after this last visit I will never go back. The waitress thought my food was to go because I was arriving a few min after ordering even though it was told it was to eat in. Then mine didnât arrive which is understandable but just admit you made a mistake instead of saying it is coming right up. When I got my food, the chicken was tough and everyone else in my party was done eating and at that point my 7 month old was extremely fussy. I asked for a to go box and drink and was ignored. The waitress walked off in the middle of me asking her for one and rolled her eyes. I then went to the hostess stand and asked for one but she was also rude and said she had to check everyone out first. The hostess was actually the manager on duty. She never got me one either. Luckily someone in my party knew the dishwasher and got me one. The dishwasher also got me my to go tea. Mind you I have ate here for years and my family eats here at least once a week. Super sad because I really liked eating here but customer service is everything. I was a waitress during college and understand mistakes happen but I also realized my tip relied on my service so I always went out of my way to make the PAYING customer happy. We apologize for the service issues that you've experienced. We have addressed these issues and we are appreciative of your feedback. We hope that you return so that we may have another chance to serve you a great meal.

I went back and forth between rating this a 3 or a 4. Judging only on food it would rate a solid 3. The overall experience and unique factor brings it up to a 4, though. The menu has some very unusual items but my non-adventurous eaters stuck with the basics. Maybe my opinion on the food might be different if we'd checked out some of the other choices. The burgers were fine but nothing special. The chili cheese fries were good. The chili itself was great actually, we just would have preferred real cheese rather than cheese sauce. We tried three flavors of shakes, peanut butter was the favorite. We also tried the Pusalow. So very sweet, but the kids loved it. It's a neat place to check out even if just for the historic backstory.

At lunch this place is hard to get in and get parked. Service is always good and friendly. My favorite is a blackened flounder sandwich.

Charles âCorkyâ Bell has been serving generations of hungry North Floridians perfectly delectable crispy fried, broiled, blackened, or grilled fish and shellfish since he opened his first restaurant at Pacettiâs on the Trout Creek in 1979. Since opening C
First time we've eaten here, but it certainly won't be our last. Wait staff was pleasant and the food was simply amazing! And the portions were huge. We'd heard great things about the restaurant from other people, and we weren't at all disappointed. Thank you for a great experience!!!

A little slice of Saint Augustine in Downtown Palatka!
We have always been about good homemade biscuits which, at one time, were the backbone of any decent southern restaurant. I asked our waitress Krista (embroidered on her apron - she didn't introduce herself) if the biscuits were homemade. She replied that "they are baked fresh everyday" - gotcha. I was starving so I missed a classic bait and switch. The biscuits are baked at the location everyday but the frozen dough must come from Detroit. The cold, dry biscuit was clearly not homemade. The place is cute. The service prompt but chilly - not a 'hi y'all' anywhere to be found. There was something off in the flavor of the grits and the eggs. An off taste of old cooked onions. Couldn't quite figure it out but the taste was off-putting. Really wanted to love this little place. We miss our favorite breakfast place of all time - The Magnolia Cafe in Austin TX. Maybe these folks should head out to Austin to see how it's really done.
