Soooo disappointed. Applebees has been my guilty pleasure for the past 18 years. I always get the same thing ... oriental chicken salad, with fried chicken and extra dressing on the side. I've put up with the changes ... cutting the amount of chicken they put in, putting in less high quality lettuce. But the last two visits, they've substituted the rice noodles with this low quality fake crunch, and the last time didn't even add the shaved almonds. So it's now iceberg, 1/4 chicken breast, fake noodles, and twice the price. They might as well stop calling it their signature recipe. It's nothing like it. Add that to the nonexistent service and I'm done. :(

Quality food and beers. Was crazy loud and kinda small. The prices were great and itâs location on the street is awesome to the other locations and stores.

Very popular local bar and restaurant. Menu is extensive and consists mostly of comfort-type food. Filling and good. We had dinner there with two other couples. Service was good and servers and staff are all friendly. It was Friday night and most of us had the fish fry which was very good, not at all greasy as we've had in other local places. Side dishes of three types of soups, macaroni and cheese, potatoes, vegetables were all quite tasty. Nothing outstanding about this place but always good. Very reasonable prices.

Mooney's is Corning's and Market Streets newest and hottest restaurant destinations in the area. We boast a very unique 2-story restaurant right in the heart of downtown. Recently we were recognized by Foodnetwork as one of the USA's top destination's for
Just arrived in Corning and were making our way around Market Street on a beautiful Saturday afternoon when we stopped into Mooney's for an afternoon snack and drink. This was our first time here so we headed upstairs to the bar and were promptly greeted by Olivia. We ordered wine - a Malbec and a Riesling from Wagner's - and they were superb. So much so we had a 2nd round. We also ordered the Spinach & Artichoke Dip which was one of the best we ever had. Not runny like others we've had over the years but creamy and thick - yum. The app took some time to arrive on a seemingly not busy Saturday afternoon but it was worth the wait. Nice place, service was excellent and overall enjoyed our brief stay. Clientele was good, no rowdy folks so we decided to come back for dinner next time we are in Corning.

Our Valentine's Day dinner had been such a success we returned with another couple for an anniversary dinner. Everything was perfect......Great service from our waiter, John, wonderful food served with perfect timing, and to top it off a complimentary desert for our anniversary. The harbor fish soup is outstanding, the steaks were cooked to perfection (exactly as ordered, which is rare these days), and the best, moistest, most tasty duck I've ever had. Note: Reservations are a must, even mid week.

Try it. Just the poutine. Wow. Other dishes delicious, tried bbq, duck, and more - all very well done. Like the other restaurants on the block, this place is above average in many ways. 4 stars because it seems pricey considering the competition on both sides. Excellent, though - really, really good.

A relaxed, cheerful, clean & friendly environment featuring home cooked comfort food.
We were staying at the hotel across the road and when it was time for dinner we checked the reviews here. This is a family run diner, packed with local customers. See the menu on their website linked here. The owner greeted us and found us a table. It was Friday night so I had the fish fry and a side of their HOMEMADE mac & cheese. Barb had a gyro that had a lot of meat in the best pita bread ever. We were raving all through dinner... just great homemade food. The next morning we passed on the hotel's breakfast buffet and came back here! Mmmmm eggs benedict. Service (if you can get a table) is fast and friendly.Thank heavens for TripAdvisor..... in the olden days we would have just gone down the road to some franchise place.

Stopped in for lunch today and sat at the bar. This is usually a good way to sometimes chat with the bartender and locals. Waitress/bartender was quite unfriendly and didnât seem to want to be there. She performed her basic duties.Brisket sandwich and chicken sandwich, both very tasty.Good place to eat but in a small town that is known for its friendly people, this server did not fit this picture.
