Located in an old time drug store, the Sidewalk Cafe retains a lot of the charm of days gone by. I felt a bit like I had stepped back in time to my childhood when places like this were still dispensing medicine and sandwiches side by side. The burger with hand cut fries was excellent - nice and juicy on a soft bun. The one thing I would recommend is to get the real soda fountain working. A chocolate egg cream would had made things perfect.

The Pompadour is a cozy tapas restaurant and bar located two blocks from the beach in Fairport Harbor. Creative small plates and handcrafted cocktails are our focus. Enjoy fine food and drinks made with the freshest ingredients served up in a relaxed atmo
We decided to try the restaurant based on a social media post. We did not know what we were walking into. The staff was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and very helpful explaining what Tapas is. We had the Pork a la Sidra and Lamb Rib Chops with a Orange Blossom Pavlova for dessert. The food was very flavorful and the presentation was perfect. It was the last thing we expected to find when we walked in the door and we will be walking in many more times in the future.

We celebrated a Birthday here last year and again this year, what a difference a year makes. The menu changed and the service was poor. The four of us arrived and 5:00 on Saturday evening, we were seated promptly but then sat there 25 minutes without anyone coming to serve us. We had to go find someone to wait on us. Until that time people around us were being served but not us. Finally when a waitress did arrive she apologized and comped our drink order to make things better. Our food orders came out fast but they were a little bland. They no longer serve clam chowder, which was one of there best items. The fried cod was just ok, large pieces but not flavorful. The jambalaya was not as I remembered from the past either. Iâll be surprised if they are open next May for our birthday. Probably wouldnât go back if they are. The waitress was very attentive after we finally got her to notice us.

We have been going here since they first opened. Everything was really good especially the pizza and fries. Ever since the new owners have taken over the food has suffered. The pizza is comparable to a frozen pizza. The fries are still good. We were actually served cold chicken wings. The servers are still good and friendly.

Ate here last weekend, on a recommendation from an owner of another establishment, who suggested Silvestro's for their large portions and good food. Not being from the Painesville area, it was really not hard to find, but off the beaten path if you didn't know where you were going. Parking lot was filled, and not paved, a gravel lot from "the old days; I guess. If you are expecting décor and atmosphere, or those from an "after" Restaurant Renovation show, you are going to be disappointed, as this place has no-frills AT ALL, but you are not eating for the atmosphere.Bar was filled, dining room was filled, and the service was great. Had a small table in the back of the no-frills dining room, and everyone was great. I had the Chicken Alfredo, which was good, a nice sized portion of pasta and two good sized chicken breasts. They were tasty, as was the pasta it came on. I also had 2 potato skins for an appetizer, that were just okay, nothing that I would order again, but they were not awful. For such a small place, the menu is very good, from salads to full dinners, and not expensive. I guess this place has a lot of history there, as there was a neat story on the menu of the origins of the place. Would recommend this place and definitely return. Restrooms are clean, and well-stocked, and the owner, who I assume was at the door and bar with guests was most gracious. For a place that is small on the inside, and the service and food here, it is worth a trip here.

After checking Trip Advisor, and reading the great reviews, my sister and I headed over to Fairport Family Restaurant for an early dinner. It was better than we even imagined. The food was all homemade and delicious. Our dinners came with soup and a salad and the portions were beyond generous. I had the beer battered haddock, one of the daily specials. My sister had meatloaf. We were both deliriously happy with our choices. The prices are great, especially my sisters meatloaf, as it was from the 'senior' section. Finally I must say, our server, Kelsey was the icing on the cake! She is absolutely the happiest, kindest, most efficient server I have ever had.

You can get better fish n chips at a chain restaurant, a Dennyâs, Perkins, just about anywhere. The perch and walleye are ok, but waaaay overpriced- try $20- plus for a lunch plate of fried fish! And despite calling itself a âFish House,â itâs just not particularly good fish. Itâs obviously making it on a lack of nearby competition, older clientele, and a tired fish theme that makes it sound like the place to go for fish (also located near the lake, but no water view or anything attractive like that). So hereâs the deal:-really sweet, gummy, not home-made tartar sauce-icky!-old, not juicy or firm tiny bits of lemon -the wilted, brown, greasy, soggy pile of French fries- virtually inedible-the perch is fried with skin on- terrible idea: makes the perch curl into a tightened curled piece, adds nothing to the fish flavor. Just shouldnât be left on before frying. -the walleye is not trimmed well-you get the good, meaty parts with the skinny, rib-bone belly area. Yuck: for the $$ you pay, you should get the choicest, select pieces of the filet. This is 1/2 good, 1/2 you donât really want to eat. It ruins the Filet.-and the dining area, just not very inviting- kind of dreary, smelly, with a sheen of grease on the laminate flooring- you kind of slide slowly around the restaurant rather than walking. Not appetizing.Iâve eaten fried fish in literally hundreds of restaurants around the country. This place is very disappointing.

Redhawk Grille is your destination for incredible food and courteous service! Enjoy them in our comfortable dining room or on our amazing patio! A staple of the Conchord community for over 20 years, we've always believed in flavor, quality, fresh food, an
We were not terribly hungry as we had a late lunch that was compounded by a time zone change. The Redhawk grill was really close to our hotel and a quick review of the menu online showed that the prices were reasonable. My wife ordered the PEI mussels. I opted for the wedge salad for a starter and the appetizer portion of Calamari as the main. What a surprise! The wedge was almost an entire head of lettuce with generous amounts of trimmings. My wife helped me eat it. My wife's mussels were generously served and were perfectly cooked with a tasty broth. My calamari was also expertly prepared with a bit of Thai chili sauce. Very tasty!Steph provided wonderful service and the crowning touch was that the Cubs were beating up on the Pirates durinb our meal! (17 to 7 as we left) All in all, we left very pleased and wished it ws located in NW Indiana.
