We stopped in tonight for dinner and were so disappointed. We went with my folks who had been there before, but it was terrible tonight. We waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated. We waited 5-10 more once seated to have a server come take our drink and food order. This is a small place and that type of delay without acknowledgement is unacceptable. We ordered an appetizer and it was very skimpy. When it arrived, The waiter said he would be bringing the rest of the appetizer shortly--he never did. Our food arrived and my dads burger was not what was ordered. The took it back to the kitchen swapped the toppings and brought the Same lukewarm burger and fries back. When the server finally came to check on us we were finished and I said "I never got the rest of my appiyizer order so I assume you won't charge me". He said that it was already entered in so... Then he said he'd buy us a beer next time we were in. Are you kidding? This person has no business being in the restaurant business. The food was marginal. It was a terrible experience and we won't be back. Next time we will try another restaurant in town. I get that things happen, but it is how you deal with them that can take a terrible experience to one were we would be willing to give them another shot. Fail.We would like to apologize for your recent disappointing experience. We continuously strive to ensure that our food and service exceed your expectations and it is disappointing to us as well that this was the experience you had. The response to you in our restaurant is unacceptable and I can assure you that we will be addressing this. I understand that you have several options for dining and we appreciate both your and your parents' business. I would like to invite you back as my guest to please give us another chance as this is not anywhere near our standard of food or service. We held a fun dinner party for nine relatives at the Wahkon Inn on Thurs. 23 June in the semi-private dinning room. Half the party chose the Walleye dinner and the other half had the ribs. The smiles told that we were all happy with our selections and the price was right. Many locals were enjoying their evening socializing by the bar and in the main dinning room. The waitress did a fine job with our orders and helped take photos of our group. We would go back again.

This place is right across from the lake. It has an outdoor seating area as well as great views from the seating area. It is a small bar and grill, serving burgers, fries and the like. It is not pretentious - definitely a hang-out for locals as well as vacationers who have been coming for years. It seemed like everyone inside knew all the people walking in the door. Everyone was friendly, even to a stranger walking in for a burger. This is not the place to come in a hurry, as the staff is small and if a group comes in before you, you'll need to wait. But if you want a good burger or grilled cheese, along with a beer, it will be worth the wait.

Took a day trip to visit friends in Isle and they took us to Muggs for lunch. We were a group of four and all of the food ordered were generous portions and very tasty. The taco salad was enormous. The bartender/waiter/cook was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the stop.Thank you for stopping in, I am glad you enjoyed yourselves, hopefully we will see you again soon. - Rob

I had the burnt ends appetizer, bowl of chili, and cobbler with ice cream. The flavors and cook of them were all good. Chili is mild and sweet with hamburger and bean. The cobbler was served hot. The restaurant was busy and food was a little on the slow side to come out of the kitchen. Those 3 things were twice as much as 1 person could eat. When that happens, I'm always left wishing I could have paid less for smaller servings. $24 with tip.

We have eaten at the Great Northern Grill quite a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. Service is always very good, quantities are huge, and the food and prices are good.

This is basically a bar. It has a deck overlooking the lake. I had the grilled walleye sandwich, and it was very tasty. Hubby enjoyed a small pizza. Drinks were good. Service was also good considering that one gal was bartending and serving....but she kept up with it amazingly well. Hope they are paying her enough..

We had Beef Brisket sandwich & Fish sandwich. The fish breading was burnt otherwise it might've been good. We didn't send it back although we should've, we just don't like to complain. We split both sandwiches and both of us suffered through the obviously burnt fish because it was a late lunch and the first food of the day (we were really hungry). The brisket sandwich was pretty good, fries were good, beer was good. Service was ok except for not asking how the meals were for a very long time even though the place wasn't busy at all and we had to get up to ask for something we needed quite a few minutes after the food was delivered. It's a nice bar/restaurant with a great view of the lake but based on our overall experience I doubt we'll be back unless it's happy hour for a couple drinks & maybe an appetizer. It was regrettably one of the rare times in the past 3 years we haven't looked at reviews on Trip Advisor before trying out a new place.

My wife and I stayed here. We went to the bar restraunt for dinner. WOW! What an unexpected wonderful meal! Server was excellent. Finally a place that knows how to make a dry vodka martini! Most places drown you in vermouth. We had the mussels for appetizer. They were absolutely wonderful! The best I've ever had. My wife had petite tender loin with scalloped potatoes. She said everything was seasoned perfectly. She really enjoyed it. I had the artic grayling and it was amazing!. I'm serious this was an excellent meal. Reasonably priced, good service. We really enjoyed it. Izaty's is a lake side resort, golf course and this was off season. I know prices go up during the regular season. But for off season this was excellent!!! We're coming back.

We stopped here for breakfast after driving for a couple of hours. My wife said I would love it. She was right!Lovely smell of coffee and warm maple syrup, extensive breakfast breakfast menu, unbeatable prices, fun and friendly service, ample helpings. Just good food. Lived-in atmosphere, like some townsfolk take breakfast (and more!) there every day. I enjoyed my pancakes immensely. I would go a long way to eat there again.
