The State Room Restaurant is one of the premier restaurants in Greater Lansing featuring casual-upscale American cuisine, 500 bottle wine list, Michigan craft beers and a sophisticated lounge.
Had a nice meal here as part of the conference. Service was attentive and efficient. The food was well presented and tasty. Portions were appropriately sized and I particularly enjoyed the wine selection, including the opportunity to choose from some Michigan wines which were surprisingly good. They are worth a taste. It is always a pleasure to hear when our guests enjoy food and wine selections in the State Room. We are proud of our service and to provide many locally-sourced food and beverage items on our menu. Thank you for leaving a review, and we hope you'll dine with us again.

Second time I've been and brought some newbies along with me. Don't let the "hole in the wall" exterior scare you away. The service is fantastic, the food is delish and there's a large selection of beer. If you're ever in East Lansing, this place is a must!

My husband and I went here just for the Corned Beef and it did not disappoint! The sandwich was very very large. Stacked with a lot of corned beef and really tasty. It is just a little sandwich shop in a newer business park. No ambiance to speak of but the food was good and service fast.

Brought a family group of 12 including young children for dinnerafter a MSU football game. They seated us in a room by ourselves which was very nice. The service was excellent. Ourwaiter went way above and beyond to insure our dinner was special. The food and drinks were good and they offered many choices, which was nice for everyone. The desserts were also good. Salad bar had a nice assortment of items to choose from and was fresh and good. Very pleased with everything.

Absolutely fantastic menu, very very creative, it had been over 25 years since I'd had sunchokes (jerusalem artichokes) and they had it! The style is more tapas/mezes and this fits us perfectly since we love to try different things and we have no dietary restrictions. That said, the menu was rich in vegan & vegetarian options. Yes, it's pricey, but what you get is VERY unique, locally sourced, and absolutely delicious. Short but really good, unique, and reasonably priced wine list. More importantly, I don't think there's anywhere like this in the Greater Lansing area...

The food was terrific. Both entrees and starters were excellent and fairly priced. The wine list is very solid and well priced. Our server was very good - friendly, helpful and not intrusive. Two minor concerns. I find it annoying to have menus on iPads. Our table had not been cleaned as well as possible when we sat - sticky is also annoying. Iâll be happy to return.

We were heading out of town on a Sunday morning. Our party of 5 ordered the pot pies (beef and chicken), and the traditional cherry and crumble cherry pies. We also ordered a brownie. The pot pies also came with a side, so we ordered salads. I ordered the ranch dressing, but it tasted like it came from a bottle, so I didn't eat much of it.Most of the table were for groups of four, so we sat where somebody had already pulled a couple tables together. Unfortunately, we all got a blast of could air every time the door was opened.Overall, the food was tasty, service quick, and the service was terrific. Dana, thank you very much for visiting us and for taking the time to leave us a review. We love to hear that you enjoyed your meal and our service. I apologize for the cold drafts from the door but I'm happy you still enjoyed your warm meal. We hope to see you and your friends again soon!

We were here with our kids and grandkids for Sunday brunch. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was restful. We thought the meal was a bit bland, although they served up a few extras with little muffins and mini brownies in spite of our decision to not have dessert. The prices were on the high side for some of the dishes.
