Welcome to the award winning Great Outdoors Restaurant! We hope you enjoy your dining experience here. Our menu is carefully planned and lovingly prepared. Our Executive Chef is on the premises at all times carefully overseeing every detail of food prepar
Nothing fancy here, but my Captains Platter of fried shrimp, scallops, and white fish was excellent. (Conch fritters were soggy and I left those on my plate). Even the French fries, slaw, and onion rings were notable. We also tried the Ginnie, a BBQ bacon cheeseburger. A well executed if underseasoned effort. Decor seems intentionally dated with plenty of space inside and out. Although there isnât much to select from in the area, this is worth the #1 TA rating. Expect $15-25 a plate for entrees and $10-16 for a sandwich.

Sonny's BBQ of Gainesville. Southern BBQ at its finest. Slow-smoking favorites like pulled pork, ribs, brisket since 1968.
This is a newer Sonny's. Seated promptly and greeted by server, Blake. Had a few questions about menu, with which he was very proficient. Wound up ordering: 1) Pork and Rib Combo and 2) Pulled and Sliced Pork Combo. Pulled pork was succulent with great smoky flavor but served at room temperature. Ribs were very tender and not over sauced. Cornbread muffins very crumbly, sweet and served cold--not a good idea. Sweet potatoes very, very hot and skin burned--served in foil. Server didn't offer alternatives to cold pork and muffin.Hi there John, Thank you for takin' the time to share your experience with us. We value what all of our guests have to say, and appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. We'll be sharin' this information with our team. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you the BBQ you're craving again soon.

Itâs been over 20 years since we have been to Conestogas. The burgers are some of the best weâve ever had. The drawback is they have peanuts on each table and my wife is severely allergic to them. So to solve the problem we ordered take out and went back to the RV and ate lunch. Superb burgers cooked to perfection and mighty tasty.

My family and I were traveling into Florida and wanted a seafood restaurant to eat at that we don't have back home. My wife stumbled across Wahoo on the net and my father-in-law was intrigu d with the signs. Our waiter was FANTASTIC. Ronnie made sure we always had drinks, made great suggestions on how to order each different fish from grilled to blackened, fried or seared. My swordfish was hands down the best meal I ate during the trip. My wife originally ordered the salmon burger, but after Ronnie explained the difference between that and salmon sandwich changed her mind. She was very glad she did, it was excellent. Even the regular fish sandwich my son ordered was out of this world. I've never written a review before and felt so strongly about our experience that I couldn't let it go unknown.
Comfort food with a modern twist.
Biscuits were tough -when I discussed with manager she brought steaming ones out. But as soon as they cool (and our order was room temp), both the top and bottoms are dry out and are tough. So Iâll go back to Popeyes or Bojangles for biscuits. My egg was hot but covered in black pepper ( not at my request). Hubbyâs scrambled egg was room temp. And we were not there at a busy time. Apple butter tasted liked apple flavored sugar. Would like to patronize local restaurants but wonât be returning. Coffee was good and service was friendly. Thank you so much for letting us know about your visit. We're so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience. We would love if you could try us out again and please let us know if everything tasted better. Our apple butter is made in house so it sounds like it wasn't made correctly. We would love to make your eggs to your taste. Our team members would be happy to make that for you. Ask for Edwina on your next visit and mention this review and she will have you taken care of. We hope you will give us another chance.Bethany

Iâve been eating at the Gators Den for years - every time Iâm in Gainesville in business. Itâs connected to the Best Western so its very convenient to have so close after a long day of business meetings. Very tasty food (and Iâve tried pretty much everything on their menu). My favourites are the âsmothered chickenâ and their chilli. The wings are good as well. For desert try the raspberry cheesecake - itâs good! The service is actually fantastic! The wait staff are all young - probably college kids - and they are very motivated to ensuring that each customer is happy... it works! I always tip large because the kids that work there try so hard - thatâs important.Itâs always a pleasure eating at the âDenâ and I recommend it whenever you happen to be in the Gainesville Florida area.Thank you for your review and comments. Thank you for choosing us and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Gators Den Sports Grill

Lucked into this place when we stopped to get gas at the station next door. At first we were confused by the dual entrances, but once we got inside the restaurant part, things went swimmingly. Our waitress Beverly explained our menu options and got things out to us quickly, despite the fact the place was packed. I had the Beef & Bird, which was roast beef and turkey. It turned out to be a pretty good combo - except I'd change the bread. The cole slaw was great - not sloppy. wet or sweetened. Wife had the onion soup which was good, but the chips were a bit stale. This is the kind of place we'd go again, to try the different locations and some different menu options.

Located in the west area of greater Gainesville, World of Beer offers over 500 beers from more than 40 different countries. Combining a friendly environment and a knowledgeable staff, World of Beer creates an atmosphere where patrons feel at home.
The applewood smoked bacon benedictine is my fav menu item. I have had it twice. The hollendaise sauce is great and I love the homemade biscuit instead of English muffin. I even get a biscuit as my side-which is only available on the beerunch (beer brunch) menu. If you ask they will bring jam for the biscuit. And if you like an orange slice in your beer, you will love their beermosa. I like it and I don't usually even like beer (Hubby does!)

Very clean and friendly place. Quick seating and service. Lots of seating both inside and outdoors. BBQ was excellent. Meat, both pork and beef were lean but very tender and tasty. Uniquely cut french fries, cooked to order, that had great potato taste and texture. Very pleased and will return!

Well, the place was busy but the line kept moving right along. We placed our orders, both deciding to have the Wallstreet. After a short wait our food was brought to us and we dug in! Well, the lettuce was very fresh and plentiful overflowing all over the place! we both thought that there just wasn't as much meat as there should be but overall a very nice sub. Unfortunately just not what I remembered from N.Y.C. good try though!
