My wife and I visit the Pocono Mountains a few times a year and as far as we're concerned there is only one restaurant worth visiting and that's The Longhorn Steakhouse. Before we found a need to explore outside the Texas Roadhouse we were reasonably happy. We appreciate good steak but the best the Roadhouse gave us was steak that was lacking in taste. I would always request some gravy or plenty of steak sauce and that helped. My wife was turned off the Roadhouse steak many years ago so she would go with the half a roasted chicken. She really enjoyed that. But I'm not reviewing the Roadhouse. Now about The Longhorn Steakhouse: People, the steak at the Longhorn is almost as good as what we are served in many NYC steakhouses. Now allow me to explain that bold statement:.. NYC as well as all real deal Steakhouses are in a class of their own. They serve Aged Prime meat and they have a very good list of side offerings. All for two people and very expensive. Example: A baked potato at least ten dollars.. You get the picture. Then we have the almost as good steakhouses: The Longhorn is at the top of the list in that category. Very juicy, tasty, choice meat. Not the best but not three times the price. Their sides are included and very good. The bottom line is Longhorn steakhouse is much better then there choice meat competition and I believe they are as good as several of the Prime places. They have a short wine list but my Pino G was very good and reasonable. I really like the Longhorn.
The former Sullivan Trail diner was revitalized into SCHUMACHERSthis past May, 2018 and decided to stop by for breakfast. The specials board listed a few specials and so, ordered the platter of 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage links. 2 bacon, potato cubes and Texas toast plus 1 pancake and coffee . . . . . $6.95 plus $1.99 for pancake and $1.30 for coffee. First, the pancake LOOKED good but after I topped with syrup and butter, cutting it revealed it was tough and batter was over mixed or old!Potatoes were old and cold, eggs were flat physically and in flavor!Highlights were real butter onTexas toast and sausage links. My hubs ordered the hamburger egg sandwich with same COLD cubed potatoes and sandwich arrived WITHOUT any lettuce, tomato and onion or sauce! Not impressed with this breakfast that tabbed at nearly $20.00Someone with kitchen experience needs to spark the place into what could be a much needed restaurant between Wind Gap and beyond! It's early, DO IT RIGHT!

I've seen the ad in the local paper for all-you-can-eat specials for Mondays for chicken fingers and decided to finally stop and try them. There were very many lunch specials posted that were also tempting, reasonably priced, and a large menu too. I stuck to the chicken fingers but will return to try other dishes. The special came with 2 sides, including the basic salad bar or soup or a different side. We both chose the beef barley soup that was excellent, homemade, packed with barley, veggies, and beef. Our platter arrived with 4 perfectly fried fresh out of the fryer chicken fingers, a good portion of perfectly freshly fried French fries, and 2 tasty onion rings. For our second round, we each had 2 more chicken fingers. We had fast, friendly service, and the offering of more if we wanted more. At $9.99 a person, you can't beat the quality, quantity, or the service and much better than a #6 at the fastaurants.

Decided to try this restaurant as we live close by and have never eaten here. Friends told us they liked it.Not much good to report from our visit. Overpriced and over-sauced brisket sandwich, shoe leather roast beef, and tasteless burnt broccoli. All four of us left, wondering how they got the good reviews we had seen. Wonât be going back.

Having grown up in Northeastern Pennsylvania I remember being able to get Texas Weiner which was a steamed bun, dinner frank, beanless chili, onions and spicy brown mustard. For years I had been unable to find anyplace close until today and I found Potts is the one. The only difference is the chili or the mustard is spicy but the whole thing is delicious. Three dogs and two drinks were about 7 dollars.

We go here from time to time for delicious clams or to have a drink at the very nice bar. The daily specials are usually very good, with some creativity in their preparation.

Lunch special, fried haddock sandwich. Have you ever tried to chew tough fish? Itâs not easy. Roll was nice, fish awful. Grilled chicken mini dinner - texture almost rubber. For a Monday lunch was packed. Our first time there, guess we didnât know the excellent food to order?? Wonât be back.
