We asked a man leaving Sparky's if he could recommend a dinner spot. He liked Sparky's ("healthy and satisfying") so we thanked him, and walked in.While it seemed more upscale than I prefer (on a vacation), we had a wonderful server, Hannah, a delight to chat with. My wife had fish & chips (lightly seasoned with herbs) and cole slaw. I had lettuce wraps. Our meal was tasty, and there's a lot to choose from.

The Indian restaurant around the corner was closed on Tuesdays, so we walked over to the main street downtown (Mt. Shasta Blvd) and accidently found Lalo's. We are not enthusiastic for "beans and rice" American-style Mexican food, but we were hungry. Weather outside on the patio was perfect. We had chicken fajitas--very large portion and almost enough for two--very good. Also had a vegetarian tostada--NOT typical fried tofu, but sweet red peppers, broccoli, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and more; extremely tasty even for non-vegetarians, and very large portion. Could not be more pleased.

We had a nice, although sultry meal at the Trinity Cafe. The steak and the pork chop were very good, the plum salad was nice and the bread and dipping sauce also very good as a way to start off the evening. If the evening is warm you might be better off sitting outside where you can get a breeze.

Yaks is the best little coffee shop in town. The staff is super friendly and always get my order right. They have really yummy salads and budha bowls for lunch. Try it you won't be disappointed. The vibe is a little Mount Shasta hippish but heh...it is MOUNT SHASTA.

I really wanted to like this place. The Caesar salad was really good, including a couple of anchovy filets. Nice dressing. My wife ordered soup and salad. The soup had good flavor, but came out a little less than warm. The dressing was not as ordered. Probably should have said something, but we are not that kind of people. I did leave a note on the bill. Good selection of tap beers, attentive, if not speedy service.

From the dining room you get a fantastic view over Mt Shasta and at sunset time you can see all the colors. Rather basic food large quantities. You spend there a good time and will probably not remember what you have eaten

Our Mt. Shasta diner has the distinction of being where it all began. Who knew a little dream in a tiny town would expand and attract fans from eight (and counting) states? Through it all, this diner has held its own as a small but mighty gateway to this
We enjoyed a nice sandwich lunch at Black Bear Diner. I enjoyed a garden turkey sandwich; ate half only as its large. My husband enjoyed his Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. This is the original Black Bear Diner and located at Mount Shasta.

Lilys has returned to Mt. Shasta under the original ownership of Ron and Arlene! We are once again offering fantastic food and service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner daily and Brunch on the weekends. We look forward to seeing you again!
We stayed at the Best Western & Treehouse on our way to Woodside for our grandson's 16th birthday and the food was BAD, so we decided to look on the Tripadvisor for a good place to eat breakfast. After reading the reviews of Lily's we went and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food healthy and delicious, the seating in a wonderful garden setting and the prices reasonable. We will make it a point to eat there any time we are in town and will also recommend Lily's to our family and friends. For the remainder of our drive we bought supplies at Berrydale Groceries down the street . Their selection is amazing, their organic food home made/baked and absolutely delicious. We had the best scones we have ever tasted and the freshly prepared fruit smoothie was awesome.
