Came here on a Saturday for brunch, never been here before we were surprised it was so nice and well decorated. Got the hangover burrito which was awesome. Staff service was really good, the took forever to bring coffee but it was freshly brewed so I wont give them a hard time. Highly reccomend!!!

Diaz DIner is a family restaurant that has been located in Mission for a number of years. Locals have their favorite times to dine--many enjoy a breakfast while others join the lunch crowd. Late afternoons and evenings the restaurant is quieter and less crowded. Lots of favorites on their menu of Mexican food, but they serve traditional American food, too.

We were at Salt about 3 years and were eager to get back and see if it had maintained its unique distinctives - excellent food, relaxed ambiance, great and friendly service. There was only one small reduction in excellence from our previous experience, but it didn't take away from our total enjoyment of the evening. We made an early booking at 5 and specifically asked to sit at the counter overlooking the chefs at work in the kitchen. It's amazing the quality of food they can put out in such a teeny tiny space. Tonight, we watched 4 professionals in their little kitchen put out excellent food - it's quite a dance they do moving around one another. Before ordering, we were given a small bowl of the salt chips as a complimentary taste. They were good! We started with the sriracha shrimp (excellent! the sriracha added some heat but wasn't overpowering) and the burrata heirloom tomato starter (outstanding with figs, walnuts, large heirloom tomatoes, small grape tomatoes, a round of burrata cheese in the middle, and balsamic vinegar reduction drizzled over the top with yucca chips as garnish). These were fabulous. We really wanted to lick the plates. For our mains, my husband had the rabbit (excellent) and I had the ahi tuna special - lightly seared with a frisee salad (also excellent). We shared a side of the brussel sprouts with a pomegranate sauce since I don't eat meat - and they were finger licking good. They were roasted with crispy outer leaves and just yummy. We were looking forward to dessert, but were just too full. Folks sitting around us tried a number of different dishes, and they were all raving about the taste as well. Rachel was our server tonight and she took care of us very well. Another wonderful evening at SALT.

Large party, made arrangements to be in their private room, and did preorders for their fabulous ribs and their chicken! There were over 35 of us, and food came in a timely manner. Servers were great and the food was awesome!Ribs falling of bone, chicken with just the correct amount of smoke and sauce! But the âstarâ of most played, was the baked potato! OMG!!!Best baker weâd had in a very long time! One person said it was as good or better than a twice baked potato! Thatâs something to remember!

My mom took me to this restaurant when I visited McAllen. I was extremely impressed with my meal as well as the service. I ordered the Grilled Tilapia & Shrimp with Mango Salsa, and it was delicious! Go early to avoid a long wait.

Pork tenderloin sandwich was huge, made two meals. I had fish and chips that was very good but the fires that came the basket were excellent. Two other meals that friends had were the shrimp basket and the fish basket, everyone enjoyed their meal. Inside and outside seating, we enjoyed the outside seating but the flies were bad, ask for the fans to be turned on but said they were having some work done on them and couldn't use them. Restrooms were very clean, staff friendly, little slow getting our food once we placed the order, but it came out hot, overall a great visit.

Have been here many times when on our Mission visits. The Beef Brisket is as stated a lean cut but is very tender. Generous serving sizes. We smoke our own brisket at home and the smoke ring is perfect. Flavor is pleasant smoke not overpowering. Charro beans were my late Fathers favorite so always have them as a side. Pleasant Heat . Grapefruit Pie was the real reason my husband chose to eat here on our last night in Mission. We love this and make at home whenever we have Rio Star grapefruit available in Indiana.

Family restaurant serving breakfast and lunch to our local community.
Visited on a Friday evening with small group. Restaurant not crowded. Salads fresh and crispy. Calimarri app was very good and the two sauces were tasty. Toasted croutons a good addition. Dressings seemed uninspired. Probably, off the shelf. Main course portions very generous. Pork chop was large amount of bone and center of meat not cooked sufficiently. Salmon was over cooked and the sauce uninspired. Wild rice was dull. Chicken Marsala was a nice sized portion. Basically, a chicken breast with a brown sauce. It had a few seasonings but; could not detect any Marsala in the sauce. Have a few beers on tap as well as a selection of bottled beers and wine. We did not sample dessert. Restrooms clean. Easy parking in front. A little pricey for what we got. Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit. Your comments will be addressed with Chef and we will work to improve on your points regarding sauces and the under cooked pork chop. Felt your comments were fair and balanced. I don't understand, though, the pretentious comment, R Krauss

We have visited a different Ranch Burger and enjoyed it. We were pleasantly surprised to find one in our neighborhood. Great burgers and we can order our fries with no salt or seasoning which works with my husband's dietary needs. Friendly service from Kimberly too. Like all the veggies on the side too. They had several beers in tap and glad to see one of our local breweries 5 x 5 was on tap too. They were quite busy but food came fairly quickly. It was tasty and filling.
