Good Thymes Country Cafe-Titusville-1-Star"The worst food you'll ever eat will probably be prepared by a "cook" who calls himself a "chef." Mark my words." -- Alton BrownWhile I never take looks into consideration when reviewing a restaurant, I would feel remiss if I didn't mention how dingy this building was on the outside and inside. The outside is painted in a drab gray with a baby puke green trim. Using the restroom before being seated to wash up as is my wont, I was disgusted to the point of almost calling it a day and just walking out then and there. This was, by far, one of the most horrid bathrooms I have ever been in. There was literally two inches of slimy residue caked along the walls and sink. Afraid to touch anything, I used my elbows to move the spigot in order to wash my hands and get a paper towel out of the dispenser. My inner voice was screaming, "Run!" However, on a whimsy, I decided to walk boldly into the fray. After all, I did have a job to do and if it turns out I have to take yet another one for the team, then so be it. I was greeted warmly enough, shown to a table and handed a menu. The seating area was to clean what the bathroom was to filthy. It was sparkling, tidy and well lit. This was a stark contrast to my first impression from using the washroom. It wasn't before too long that a female approached my table, introduced herself as Joy and asked if we were ready to order. I was and so asked Joy for some Unsweetened tea and one of their daily specials, the Chopped Sirloin Dinner (medium rare) with a side of collard greens and black-eyed peas.Joy soon reappeared with my order. By soon, I mean it wasn't all that long, I in no way meant she was moving quickly as it appeared she was trudging through quicksand. She was competent enough, professional enough and pleasant enough just slower than trying to connect to the internet on dial-up. Placing my victuals in front of me and asking if I needed anything else, Joy meandered off. Trying to get the image of the bathroom walls out of my mind, I turned my attention to my meal.First of all, I must say again that I did order my Chopped Sirloin medium rare as steak any other way is a tragedy and is to be avoided at all cost, however, mine was not cooked to order but made to a perfect medium-well. Who orders their beef like this?? It came slathered in a mushroom gravy that was obviously the industrialized version of said gravy. The mushrooms were mushy, looked machine cut and didn't taste fresh at all. The gravy, while smooth and uniform of color, tasted as only canned gravy does. The accompanying side of Collard Greens was none the better. They tasted like they were left over from dinner a few days ago and were obviously microwaved. The second side of Black eyed peas I found delightfully seasoned and cooked to perfection, but alas, also out of a can. I don't know if it was the cooks' fault or the poor quality ingredients they had to work with, whatever the reason(s) this was just an atrocious meal. However, it was just edible and as such does not warrant a BBDO "Swill Alert" (close, but no cigar). The Big Boy says, "If you just escaped captivity and haven't had a meal in a few days, by all means, this will suffice, otherwise, don't even think about stopping here." #iamthebigboy #bigboydiningout

Out for a Sunday drive and stopped in for breakfast. Great food, good service and a very comfortable down-home restaurant. The menu claims "homemade pancakes" and these definitely were not from a mix. Very good smoked sausage and the home fries were some of the best we've had in a long time.

Was here for drinks with friends the day before a race. It is a cute location that was once a hardware store. We did not order food but they did have a great looking menu. They have an extensive list of local brews. The service was friendly and atmosphere relaxing.

We were looking for a kid friendly place for lunch, and, thankfully, the reviews on Trip Advisor brought us here. None of us had ever eaten at a car hop drive-in restaurant before. We ate inside the small restaurant area, but got a kick out of seeing everyone, despite the heat, eating in their cars with the old-fashioned looking trays attached to their windows. Lunch fare (burgers, hot dogs, fries, fried shrimp) was tasty & reasonably priced. Service was friendly & efficient. I only wish the juke box had been in working order. My kids would've been fascinated by that!

We enjoy coming here for breakfast. Their coffee is fair trade, which is nice, and has good flavor. All of their food is delicious. Their biggest downfall is that they run out of stuff early. But that is what happens when they make it fresh. It is definitely worth checking this place out.

Our friends introduced us to one of the their favorite restaurants, Chef Larry's. In an era dominated by cookie cutter chains, Chef Larry's is part of the fading breed of local restaurants. It's open limited hours so be sure to check beforehand. I enjoy quirky venues that reflect the character of the owners. The walls are festooned with a variety of old photos, plaques, and odds and ends. Chef Larry mixes with his clientele and displays his larger than life personality. By the end of the evening you can be best friends. Larry's is located in the old downtown area in a tiny house. Parking is in back. The menu changes frequently and is small. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. A typical menu includes familiar staples and Larry's own creations. A new addition is the prime rib night on Wednesdays. Reservations are recommended.

Andrei's Restaurant - Scottsmoor - 0.5 Star *SWILL ALERT*Piu [pee-yew] - meaning to rot or decayBrevard County has been my home for 52 years. It is the longest county in Florida clocking in at 72 miles from Micco in the South to Scottsmoor in the North. While Micco has one of the best hidden gem restaurants in the county, Scottsmoor is still an armpit of a veritable food wasteland.Andrei's came on my radar and I was actually looking forward to the trip north. The restaurant sits inside the Indian River Preserve Golf Club. This stunningly beautiful building houses one of the most disgusting restaurants in which I have ever dined. My loyal readers should be thankful this place is so terrible. You have to drive two miles off the main road through some of the most desolate, slow-moving terrain I have ever driven. I was actually becoming angry as the minutes passed. Not sure why whatever "braniac" designed this access road the way they did but he deserves a solid punch in the mouth.Once you are done navigating the back trails of Mims you come to a lush open expanse of greenery and the previously stated Taj Mahal-like clubhouse. Sadly, what awaits you inside is an absolute culinary horror show bordering on the criminal. My server Amber had a positive, bubbly, and friendly attitude. However, she was either clueless about the fare or was lied to about what she was serving. She came across as too honest so I am guessing the latter.I started off with my obligatory unsweetened iced tea. I tasted and realized immediately it was from a soft drink dispenser. It was disgusting. When I asked Amber for something else she replied, "yeah, everyone hates the tea here" - an ominously honest statement coming from an employee. This means the restaurant owner knows everyone hates the tea but be damned if he is going to fix the problem.I ordered the Big Boy Club with bacon (I should probably sue them for brand infringement but this joint won't be here long). I asked Amber if the turkey was real or processed she said "hold on, let me check." She went in the back came back and said "it's real," but of course, when it arrived, it was clearly processed. This confirmed for me she was being lied to by the kitchen. The second dish I ordered was the Poutine. Let me tell you, I have eaten some creative Poutines in my day. Generally, they are fresh cut spuds smothered in a homemade gravy and topped with melted cheese curds. I should have taken a clue from the disgusting iced tea what was to come. Warning - the picture is not for the squeamish - when this arrived I became nauseous from the smell. For some reason the gravy was mixed with this fetid meat that reeked like it had sat in the walk-in for months. The potatoes were those frozen Ore Ida chunks you pop in the oven for 10 minutes and have no flavor. This was so bad I could not eat it.I am placing a swill alert on Andrei's Restaurant. Big Boy says "no no no, please don't go." Your stomach will thank me.Good afternoon. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to review our restaurant. I sincerely apologize for your poor experience and per our direct conversation, I sincerely look forward to having you back for a follow up visit. This is by no means the experience our guests typically have and appreciate you giving us the opportunity to make things right. We will see you again soon.

Here at Honeysuckle you can find good southern home cooked meals. We have the perfect comfort food that tastes just like grandma made it. Come visit our small town place that all the locals love!
Had dinner here and tried the burger wrap, it was surprisingly good. Ground beef, onions, cheese, pickles all melded together for a great taste. Deserts are big and good, soft drinks are 32oz with refills.Decor is country casual. Prices moderate, servers pleasant.

Excellent seafood restaurant. Local caught shrimp. We tried the rock shrimp (broiled) and the medium shrimp (fried) and both were excellent. Wish I lived close enough to go often. We are very happy to know that you had an excellent experience at Dixie Crossroads! We are so fortunate to offer locally caught shrimp and not farm raised imported shrimp. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate it very much!
