At Brick Alley Pub we have it all: "pub style" comfort food to modern multicultural cuisine all served with genuine down-home hospitality. Like America itself, Brick Alley is one big melting pot of ethnicities, flavors, and fun. If you are looking for sti
No wonder this place is crowded and usually has a wait in the evening! The food is delicious (the short ribs over garlic mashed potatoes was great), the salad bar plentiful, and soup was great. This is a good place if eating solo (get there a little early / during off-peak times) and if dining in a larger group.

We had supper and breakfast here. The food was very good and the service was great. Attentive wait staff as well as being knowledgeable about the area, giving touring advice. We enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend!

When you're in Newport and you want 'great food' , your thoughts will likely turn to someplace on the water, or a space with a nautical theme or a "gilded age" motif commensurate with the nearby mansions. You may or may not find the food meets your expectations and, if you do, it will likely come with an eye-popping tab. This past week, a group of five were looking for a restaurant that served great food, but offered a diverse menu to cater to one diner whose primary interest in in beef, and another with a hankering to get better acquainted with New England seafood. A friend recommended Rhea's Kitchen. "It isn't much to look at, but the food is outstanding," he said. Those words were prophetic. Two of us had ribs with a great rub cooked such that the meat fell apart in out hands. Two had salmon, flown in from Scotland, that was tender and flavorful. The fifth had scrod that could have come out of Legal Sea Foods' kitchen back when it was in Inman Square. The menu is not large, but everything we had was done with care, served hot, and met the careful description provided. The wine list sounded interesting (also limited), but we went with mixed drinks (as a side note, I also found the wine prices, both by the glass and by the bottle, to be higher than they ought to be). Service was excellent; neither hovering nor solicitous, and definitely friendly. We arrived at 6 p.m. on a Saturday evening and found four tables with couples or parties at them. When we left at 8:30, we emptied out the place. Something is clearly out of kilter: a place with excellent food at reasonable prices ought to be wall-to-wall people at that hour. Where were the customers? And, especially, with the Flower Show in town? The answer, I think, is in the location (Middletown, not Newport, though just three miles away) and the venue. It's an old house converted to a restaurant. It ain't fancy and it ain't inviting. There's a defunct Saab dealership next door that adds to the sense of 'uh oh'. Don't judge this place by its exterior. Inside beats the heart of an exceptional restaurant.

A fun, laid back bar with great craft beer and amazing food!
Not a dive bar like people say, however it is still a great place to eat and drink. The place is always packed and the service is usually good. They had a live band when I was there. Itâs worth a visit if your in town. Overall Iâd come back next time Iâm in town. Stay thirsty my friends

Never a bad meal, the Tiki Bar tucked in the back and the art deco bar in front and the funky decor all contributes to a wonderful spot. We live in Newport and Salvation does not let you down. Great service, wait staff and bartenders are top notch. Menu is varied, food is plentiful and just damn good. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality. Highly recommend Each room is a different adventure, and you're going to need plenty more visits to discover all of it. Our team is always happy to show guests how service is done, and with food this good, it's not hard to be happy all the time. Thank you so much for letting us know what we're doing right! Hope to see you around again soon. All the best, Susan, Owner

We are in Middletown at least twice a year to help work on a colleagueâs boat. We have never missed having dinner at least once while weâre there. I love their deep fried scallops, my husband loves their salads, but everyone will fine something on the menu that pleases. And, donât forget their fantastic beer! I usually go for their IPA, others at the table try the seasonal brews. While waiting for plates to arrive, thereâs always a little time for a game of pool. Love this place!

Diner fare with an upscale, unique twist. Casual atmosphere. High quality, homemade food. Local eggs, local seafood, pancakes, waffles, omelets, burgers, sandwiches, salads, steaks and so much more! Local's favorite.
You enter viewing a refrigerated case of desserts that look yummy. We can at a window booth not a stool at the counter. I like that they serve breakfast all day. We both chose the NY Rueben which was delicious and perfectly grilled with quality meat. $1 up charge for sweet potato fries. Although good, Iâm not sure $13 is too much for the size of the sandwich. And I wish they also had regular fries and Dijon mustard. I will return and try other items. Thank you for the kind review! We appreciate you stopping by and are pleased to hear both your meals were delicious! Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to serving you some other unique items to try!

We just had a very disappointing meal: dry over-cooked fish and fried calamari, and the lobster in the pasta scampi was inedible. We learned from an adjacent table that their prior chef, John, left just a few weeks ago. Apparently the quality has dropped dramatically since he left!

Locally-sourced ingredients + farm-focused menu. Savor artisanal cheese, hand crafted dishes, paired with our 100% estate grown wines. Cozy up by the fireplace, enjoy wine flights at our bar or take in the vineyard views from our Overlook area.
I was hesitant on going here only because of a perception I had that was wrong. You know, Newport Area, Wine, and a classy looking outside made me think this was a bunch of folks who talk about their net worth's with lower jaws extended in a tux or fancy party dress (and would be better than making a run on sentence). I was wrong with my perception. I was also wrong that a winemaker would make a good beer. They make great beer, in fact one of the better thus far in the state.Appearance was great, Food was great, service was fantastic, beer was superb. I also felt fine to be there in a hoodie and jeans.Hello! Thank you for your visit, and for sharing feedback with us. We aim to offer comfortable, enjoyable experiences for all our guests, so the team is so glad to know we provided such! Your kind regards for our Taproot beer will be passed along to our brewer Kevin! Thank you again for sharing with us, we hope to see you back in sometime. Until then, cheers!
