I couldn't believe the revitalization of downtown Mebane. It's nothing like I remember as a teen. The place is so welcoming with an outside patio with chairs to enjoy the night air and a drink. There was live music......which I always enjoy. The music was a little loud, so conversation was a little difficult. I loved the eclectic decor! Food is also served, but we had already eaten. The server was very friendly and gave a great suggestion for my martini. It was good! I would definitely visit again!

First let me start off with the service, my mother, boyfriend, and I came on Monday December 31, 2018 at 2:35 pm. We were not greeted upon arrival, and I said to the man â3 pleaseâ he took several minutes to look over the seating chart before seating us in the very small booths by the window. We asked if we could still order from the lunch menu and the waiter asked US what time it was. Girl thatâs for you to know this information not us. We all ordered the salad bar and extra food. 20 minutes went past and I asked if we could get plates for the salad bar she said they are already up there but ummmm she had not told us this 20 minutes ago or we could have been eating. The salad plates were still wet and disgusting as they had food particles still on them. Once sitting down to eat the utensils that were wrapped up were dirty as well. I asked for pepper and around the shaker had ketchup stuck on it. Overall this service and quality of food was below zero and I pray none of my party gets sick because they obviously do not know how to clean things. Will never be back and would not recommend to anyone.

Hot dogs, Hamburgers, Fries, Chicken, the favorites. Friendly folk, food made to order, nothing fancy, but really reasonable prices. If you are in the neighborhood, or hitting the outlets, this place is just around the corner.

First time to this location. Stopped while traveling from Massachusetts to Florida because we love their comfort food. This is the first one Iâve been to that serves the food piping hot, just the way I like it. The restaurant was clean, waitress efficient and the food delicious. Love looking around the shop.

Road trip from Chapel Hill/Durham to Mebane for lunch. About a 30 minute drive. An excellent adventure! Food so fresh and delicious; quite a variety; service excellent; prices so reasonable - makes the cost of gas worthwhile! My friends and I ordered a variety: pancakes with country ham; omelet; hamburger; chicken salad sandwich, grilled pork chop - all were delighted! Collards the very best!Open early morning til 3pm. Gets busy, and stays that way.Try it - you'll like it!

Went here again after a 4 year lapse because we'd been told that the Mgr/bartender there now was very good. We were not disappointed, All odf the service, flavor and martinis were served in a very good manner. The manager Shivon was very good at everything. We will go back again !

Always have fresh bread for subs, great menu, always some daily specials, family-owned and operated. The management has accountability, everyone knows their roles on the serving team and they are always willing to make your order correct. The only thing that I would recommend is making a fountain drink station for their customers, have more ice available and possibly update the furniture. The large amount of customers have worn out some of the booths, tables and a facelift may be needed. Otherwise, my favorite place in Mebane, this family knows how to run a business and their reputation speaks for itself.

We were headed to the Hot Dog joint, but evidently itâs closed on Sundays. Trip Advisor had the Blue Ribbon listed and with it right across the street we decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did. We now have a new favorite place to stop when we travel! I had the Blue Plate Special - Chicken Pie. It was full of chicken, I actually would have liked more veggies, but my hubby said it was perfect. He actually had the chicken sandwich, which he said was outstanding. The kids enjoyed spaghetti and a salad. Rounded it all out with a milkshake. Best of all, the good food came with great service (thanks Stephen!) and it came quickly! We were impressed!

This place has a horrendous website which does not do justice to the real menu and the interesting combinations, great array of spicy and normal dishes, nor the quality. This is at best very quasi southern as the green tomato appetizer is a tart with a bit of green tomatoes and caramelized onionâvery good but nothing like green tomatoes. Nothing is exactly like classical southern but the three dishes we had for a main courseâthe creamy grits and shrimp, the pan-fried catfish and the spicy North Carolina scallops were excellent. All had some spice and my guests from Thailand felt like the spicy scallops was Thai level of spiciness so be careful and ask about spiciness if you do not like hot spicy dishes. the chocolate torte was indeed very well done. the only downfall is the wine list-cocktails and liquor drinks are the wise choice here.
