We had a wonderful lunch with our extended family at this cute little restaurant. They had many good selections and the portions were extremely generous. They also have an expansive breakfast menu. The staff are warm & friendly and provide excellent service. Unfortunately they are only open for breaksfast & lunch but I highly recommend it!

We were recently in Mammoth and wanted some pizza. We decided to go to another place in town to try it. It is very highly rated on TripAdvisor. The pizza was okay along with the beer selection. We moved on to the June Lake loop and wanted pizza again. We decided to drive back to Mammoth and go to John's Pizza Works, where we had been on another trip.We sure are glad we did! The salad, pizza and beer we ordered were fantastic. The antipasto salad was fresh with lots of wonderful ingredients. The vegetarian pizza was covered with fresh vegetable. The crust was outstanding as was the sauce they use. The beer selection is extensive. Something for everyone. Also, the service we received was outstanding. I can't say enough about Emily. She was very attentive without hovering, answered all of our questions and spent time asking us about our vacation. We have been to John's Pizza works once before and we thoroughly enjoyed the food however, it was so crowded that we weren't thrilled with the service. We did a TripAdvisor review regarding the experience. John actually took the time to answer our review and wanted us to return so they could WOW us. Because of his comments, we gave it another try and we sure are happy we did! John's Pizza Works is the only pizza place we will go to while in the area.We can't thank you enough for joining us again! I'm glad this time was an even better experience. We're very glad to hear you enjoyed the pizza, it's something we're very proud of. I hope you'll join us again whenever you're in the area. Until next time! Best, John M.

Nevados is my favorite place for fine dining in Mammoth Lakes. The pre-fixe option allows you to choose one starter, main and dessert from the entire dinner menu, which is always my favorite option for a fancy night out. The menu changes seasonally, but the cracked pepper blue cheese filet mignon is my favorite main dish hands down. Although, they always offer a nice variety of meat and seafood for both starters and main dishes. The menu includes a few vegetarian starter options, but for main dishes, options are limited. Nevados also offers an extensive wine and cocktail list and is known locally for its heavy pours. For a quick bite, try the bar menu.

Slocums Grill & Bar will be Closed for vacation from Sunday Nov. 3rd through Wednesday Nov. 20. We will be re-opening for Winter on Thursday November 21st. See you then!
We are so happy the staff at a nearby motel recommended Slocums. Other than having to wait for a table, everything was a pleasant surprise.Their French onion soup was spectacular and their pulled pork sandwich was wonderful. Courtney, our waitress, was a real pleasure. We will return and bring family.

Everything was delicious. Several of our party had the duck and others had the diver scallops. Side dishes and sauces were flavorful. Dessert was the spectacular bananas foster. I highly recommend for a nice dinner out.

We had breakfast here on Saturday morning and we were more than satisfied. We shared some pancakes, hashbrowns and turkey sausage. Everything was tasty. We also had the freshly squeezed orange juice. It is nearly 5 dollars for a large freshly squeezed orange juice, but well worth it. Our server was friendly and attentive and made sure that our coffee cups were constantly refilled. This family diner has a nice atmosphere. This is a very good option for breakfast if you are in Mammoth Lakes.

Mammoth Lakes is known for restaurants that cater to the southern California crowd but this place has great food, drinks and service for a mid range price. Fairly varied menu of red meat, fish, vegetarian, good portions, and friendly service. Told us it would be a half hour wait, but we got a table in ten minutes. A bit small so you could wait on weekends.

The food servers are also the cooks at this establishment. Make a reservation on ther weekend, it's very popular! We ordered our meal for take-out, I was told they don't always do that, but the manager generously cooked our food for us. We ordered the pork ribs, prime rib, chicken breast(both kids and petite), as well as a kids hot dog. Everything was great, chicken was moist, ribs and prime rib were perfect. Portions were not huge, but filled us up. They didn't forget to give us anything, all our sides were packed as well as some excellent sourdough and multi-grain bread. Three adults, three kids and we paid under $125. Sorry no pics!! I waited 15 minutes for our food, so I was able to observe the atmosphere of the restaurant... very friendly and casual!!
