Rumor had it that some of the staff associated with Palâs Cabin in West Orange now are associated with Bottle Hill Tavern. We ate here last night and saw many familiar items from Palâs on the menu. The burgers tasted just like Palâs. There are other favorites that we want to go back for. It isnât a big place, so there could be a wait during popular times. We went at 5 pm, so we got right in.

We've been patronizing the Tavern since it opened. The food and service have always been at least at least a 3-star experience, far above the casual chain restaurants with similar menus. However, on weekend evenings, we noticed the management is no longer taking the restaurant and its patrons seriously. The important customers are now the after-party people who've finished the wedding celebrations and are drinking up a storm at the bar. And bringing their drinks into the Tavern, overrunning the customers who are still completing their meals. Last Saturday, there were couples, beer bottles in hand, unapologetically hanging over our booth, others taking selfies beside our booth. Truly, we were hemmed in by drinkers all around us, oblivious to their rudeness. Sadly, management didn't come in to survey the scene. We complained to our server who herself was upset with the situation and said it happens every Saturday night. We gulped down our food and left never to return.Thank you for the review Bevert. I do apologize for the rude guests that were in the dining area with you while you were trying to enjoy your meal with us. If you wouldn't mind speaking a little more in-depth about your experience with me my email is [email protected]. I look forward to speaking with you soon.Jeff LeeManagerGk's Red Dog Tavern

In the late 19th century, the Prospect Tavern housed a coal company, part of the bustling railroad industry located just yards away. Today the 1880's Tudor building comfortably seats 50 patrons in the dining room, while the 60-foot bar and outdoor patio m
A friend of mine suggested we stop here after I met him at the Madison train station. I am glad he talked me in to it. I immediately saw it was a local bar but also noticed a detached dining room. We met a third person there and had drinks and bar food. The bar food was excellent. Better than most I have had. Also, there many choices. Two of us stayed for dinner and the food was also very good and there were a good number of choices. The service was excellent and hot items came out hot.I will not hesitate to come back whenever I a in the area.

"Dinner at this jewel-like restaurant has been described as the "ultimate level of culinary enlightenment" stated the Asbury Park Press. Serenade serves contemporary French cuisine created by the collaborated efforts of James and Nancy Laird. Come visit t
Went for our 23rd anniversary. Very tasteful and romantic atmosphere. The staff were extremely attentive and polite, and were happy to answer questions and make suggestions. They had some interesting signature cocktails and an extensive wine list. The meal was great from start to finish. The manager even volunteered to take a photo for us. We will definitely be back.

Friendly accurate service, and quite nice food. I tried the soup of the day (beef barley), which was good, and the âcupâ was a decent size. The classic Reuben was tender and just the right size. The fries were good, and closest to British-style chips that I have had in a while.

This was our second visit to this restrauant. As a vegetarian I look for restrauants that have an entree for me and proteins for the rest of my family. This place fulfills this criteria. I enjoyed my Spaghetti Squash (sans poached egg) and they all had short ribs. Everyone had excellents salads to start and the Butterscotch Pudding was amazing. The service was very professional.

Welcome to New Jersey's Legendary Steak HouseRod's Steak & Seafood Grille, an area landmark and winner of New Jersey Monthly's 'Best Steakhouse' award, offers breakfast, lunch and dinner daily as well as the finest Sunday Brunch in New Jersey. The restaur
We are new to the area and booked this restaurant for Fatherâs Day lunch. It turned out to be brunch only, no ordering off a menu, just buffet. It could have been a good buffet, maybe it was before our 12:45 reservation. There were long lines and it was an unorganized mess. Empty platters, no rolls/bread (never replenished), all seafood picked over and not rotated out with fresh items put in, etc... We tried the carving station for beef but found the server unable to communicate in English to give us our preferred type of cut. Other patrons tried to ask questions about sauces or type of meats at station and they were also unable to communicate with the carving station server. At the dessert stage, a long line snaked around but it was mostly empty cake platters (again, not replenished) and sliced fruit. This restaurant has good reviews as a steakhouse, so we will try again. However, the brunch buffet is a disappointment, poorly managed and best given a pass,Thank you for your feedback, I'm sorry to learn that the service was lacking on your recent visit, there is no valid excuse. I can be reached at the restaurant 973-539-6666, or via email at [email protected] should you like to discuss these issues further. I do hope you give us another chance to show you the hospitality that we are known for. Thanks again. Jerry Keller

A farm to table delicatessen where everything is made from SCRATCH! We use only the most local and fresh ingredients.
I have been to Samwich Scratch Kitchen several times always I have left feeling like I have had a special treat. It starts with super fresh high quality ingredients, thoughtful compositions, and superior detail in presentation. They put a nice spin on old favorites and always have plenty of comfort food options. They are sensitive to allergy issues which is a personal concern. You will not be disappointed.

The food is excellent. The chef is flexible--there are not a lot of vegetarian choices listed but changes can be made. Sitting outside on the back porch overlooking the golf course is a treat in pleasant weather. Wait staff is pleasant and efficient.
