Stopped by for a quick bite but what we got was an hour wait in a restaurant that was only half full...they forgot our order, they forgot to bring the check, and the manager kept coming by looking at us, but wouldn't make eye contact....when we finally got our food it was fine, but the entire experience was just too much for no reason. There was no one apologizing, no one said anything. I thought maybe the manager might even comp our meals or give us a discount even after they served several other groups after we came in, but apparently it was business as usual at this location. It is too bad, Denny's is usually a great place to grab a good bite that is quick, but not here.

Good food, friendly staff, but if you're in a hurry I would suggest a different restaurant. If you're staying at the America's Best Value Inn next door, be sure to show your room card to receive a 15% discount. Denny's at this location is a standard setup, but I could not find any counter seating. So if you're in a hurry you can't simply go sit at the counter and grab a menu. From what I could tell what has to happen is that you walk to the front counter, which sets off a bell, then one of the wait-staff has to notice you and when they can break from waiting their tables, they come over and seat you. One of my visits it took so long I just left. Not the staff's fault, the staff looks busy and handles the situation as best they can. Looks like a management issue. Once you get seated, staff is very accommodating, friendly and efficient. Food is good.I would come here again if I were not in a hurry and looking for my Denny's fix.

Just off Madera's HWY 99 with super convenient drive through window allows purchase and continue to destination driving. The cheap $5/box meals are more than adequate per person with two pieces of chicken, a side dish, a drink, and a bonus of a chocolate cookie for desert thrown into the box. If you are in a rush this is a great option.

Just happened on this restaurant on trip back from San Diego. Don't normally travel this route but rental had a flat and had to exchange vehicle at Fresno airport. Needed a place for dinner and noticed this restaurant as we exited freeway. Quaint restaurant that reminded us a little of Cracker Barrel which we love but there are none in California. Food portions we large and inexpensively priced. Service was with a smile and welcoming. Ice cream was excellent. Would love to add as our favorite stopping point for cross state travel but it's not on our route. Found other locations so we have to try the ones on our normal route. Hopefully that will be as bice as this one.

Perfect, perfect, perfect! We started with their fresh peach salad which included spring mix, avocado, and pork rinds tossed in a light balsamic vinaigrette. The flavors just melded together perfectly. The warm homemade bread and olive tapenade is incredible. We then shared the fresh swordfish with risotto and grilled veggies. Cooked to perfection. And the flavor was spot on. We ended the evening with their creme brûlée. When they first brought it out we thought, “oh no, what did we order”, as there was whipped cream on top. But quickly changed our mind after the first bite! Again the flavors all worked together. The service was fantastic. The only con I can think of is the table where we sat had a light that shined right down on us and felt like a bright spotlight. It needs to be pointed more to the wall like all the other tables. Also, one other benefit, they have two charging stations in the parking lot for electric cars provided by Blink. Enjoy!!!
