We found this gem on open table and were very glad we did. We never expected a steakhouse this good in Lubbock . We eat at Bobs, Del Friscoâs , Pappas, etc all the time and this ranks right along with the finest. Reasonably price for outstanding quality and superior service . We actually went back again the next night and will go again when we are back in Lubbock

This was one of 3 restaurants in walking distance to a hotel I was staying it. The other 2 were closed, so I went here. The place is amazing. I had the best veggie burger I ever had in my life. If you like meat, besides beef, they have exotic game, kangaroo, and some others that I can't remember. You can eceb build your own burger with an amazing list of add ons. They churn their own custard to make their shakes, and it is delicious. This is a healthy burger place. The ice tea is organic, the sodas are all made with cane sugar. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I went back the next day for lunch before leaving town. I cannot wait to go back and have another veggie burger with sliced avocados and sriracha!I am so glad you enjoyed your veggie burger! Can't wait to see on your next visit!

It is fairly unusual to find a greasy burger joint with exceptional salads, but the salads at Spanky's were amazingly fresh. My daughter ordered a salad with grilled chicken, and I ordered a bunless burger (essentially a burger salad). Fabulous! I would go there again for salads in a heartbeat! The fries were also delicious. I kept sending my husband to the drink station to refresh my drink so I could swipe fries off his plate.I was not a fan of the fried pickles. Way too salty.

With a name like "The Pancake House" you really expect to have great pancakes. A great pancake is sized nicely to ensure a moist consistency, fluffy, and light. What a huge disappointment - our blueberry pancakes were small, almost paper-thin flat, over-cooked, rubbery, and tasteless. Tasteless unless you consider a certain unpleasing saltiness on the palate. We ordered only the pancakes â no meat or anything else with them so there should not have been any extraneous flavors that crept into the final product. These pancakes were dark brown, indicating that they were well overcooked. Even drowning them in maple syrup wasn't enough to rescue these pancakes. They also need to clean the grill more. Our waitress was extraordinarily nice but consistently failed to provide us the straws we asked for our waters and refills for our coffees. Nice is wonderful but not as a substitute for satisfactory service.

Not just Lubbock's only brew pub, but also a steakhouse where a comfortable atmosphere and a friendly service staff awaits you. With a wide variety of menu items, no wonder people claim we have ?Darn Good Food.? Come in for a Well Crafted Beer, stay for t
I came in solo from a long day of travel. I was quickly greeted and seated, in a table of my choice. Looks like an old roadhouse from outside, but a cool mecca of comfort on the inside with rustic tables and neon signs.....Menu is a good mix of Tex Mex and steaks....with something for everyone. Good wine list, at good prices. I ordered a small rib steak, salad, and creamed corn. Steak came out perfectly cooked, but had a fair amount of gristle. Creamed corn was delish, as it had green chillis, and lots of cream....Yum.....Great place with good prices.

Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q serves Real Texas Bar-B-Q seven days a week. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and group meals.
I bought several items for my family and was disappointed at the quality of the food. Lots of fat in our chopped beef sandwiches and not much meat on the ribs. This used to be better.

Itâs hard to find a restaraunt that has great food and great fun for the kids! They have got it down! Wonderful food (especially the Mexican food...fajitaladas) and fun games and prizes for the kids. They even reward kids with game money for their good grades! We LOVE 50th Street Caboose!

We found the Shack on TripAdvisor and decided to check it out ona Sunday, late afternoon. Drove up and there were no cars so almost didnât go in. So glad we did. All that was left was brisket and jalapeno sausage so we had both. We got the last of the brisket for the day. The four of us liked both very much. Would love to try the ribs. Sides were exceptional and bbq sauces were good although the sweet was too sweet. They cook daily and might run out when items are gone so maybe call ahead if itâs later in the day to see whatâs left. Great folks working there too.

I had lunch there on 8/7. The special was meat loaf....I like meat loaf. The meat loaf here was very disappointing. It had to be the sweetest meat loaf that I have ever had and appeared to be loaded with filler. It had the consistency of a lumpy sloppy Joe. The okra, black-eyed peas, and service was great. The ML let me down.

Chicken fried steak for dinner and BLT via room service for lunch. Both were great. Reasonable prices for a hotel and above-average quality.
