Super popular place, long queues especially on weekends so plan ahead. The experience is what makes this place, and the food is just as great. tasty crab claws with excellent butter cajun sauce as spicy as you like served with corn, potatoes, gumbo. Oh and expect things to get messy.

Healthy, fresh restaurant serving a seasonal comfort-food menu paired with many types of delicious lemonade!
If you donât want to spend too much time and money, this is the place to grab lunch. You can choose various sides or sandwiches to eat in or to go before heading the beach. They have a few kinds of fresh lemonade as well. Another store in Santa Monica, but this one has better services.

We enjoyed our breakfast at Nickel's Diner. The food was good and the atmosphere was nostalgic. It was close to the loft apartment we rented for our visit to Los Angeles. Prices were high but this is downtown Los Angeles so it is understood. We like the Pantry better and it has similar prices.

This was a highlight of our holiday for sure. Everyone is dressed to the nines and ready for fun. The hotel staff made reservations for us when we booked at the Magic Hotel, fast and easy but well in advance. Atmosphere and ambiance is through the roof and food was some of the best we had tried in Los Angeles. The wait staff is well trained and seasoned in the art of wine pairings. Magicians will leave you speechless as to how they did that. If we lived in LA we would book into Magic Castle for the night and make an evening of it. I mean why wouldn't you?

The food there is great. I especially like the Chile Omelet. The pastrami is world famous. Don't go there after 3:00 p.m. because they close at 4:00 p.m. and after 4:00 p.m. the neighborhood transforms into a very dangerous area. I made the mistake of parking to eat there are 4:00 p.m. one day not knowing that they closed at 4:00 p.m. and when I went back to my car someone was trying to break in.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here this morning. My husband got a spinach/mushroom/feta scramble with perfectly toasted bagel, butter, excellent berry jam (tasted homemade), and potatoes he didnât bother to eat. It was funny; the potatoes just didnât match the quality of everything else.I had shakshuka which I thought was very nicely done, baked with a wonderful large pepper that had a wonderful texture and was hot to the perfect degree for me. Bread basket cake with butter, that seemingly homemade berry jam, a really nice olive oil with pesto for dunking the warm rolls, and also tahini to contrast with the hot pepper. All of this was perfect. There were also sliced and pickled peppers on the side.

I took a chance today eating at this vegan restaurant today. I was NOT disappointed. Since I generally cook 90% of my meals, I was skeptical about eating out. I had the "Sharing" nachos - this is what they are called on the menu. They were terrific. With respect to service, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted so wholeheartedly at this "white" establishment. My experience at Santa Monica and Venice Beach restaurants have not always been so welcoming. It felt good to be treated with respect as a customer instead of brush off as a color. My server was Melissa and although she was busy, she was attentive. I highly recommend Cafe Gratitude. Thanks Melissa for the question of the day and the good-bye note ("You are blessed.").

Great funky breakfast with reasonable prices. Even with an Uber there and back, we saved over $40 in breakfast from eating in Santa Monica. Limited seating, order at the counter, and they bring you your items when complete. The açaà bowls, bagel and croissant sammies were excellent.
