American style food with touches of other regional flavors. great for lunch or dinner or getting together with friends for drinks. Happy hour and huge back deck that is a great place to enjoy Ligonier in the warmer months.
First time visit since new owners purchased restaurant. Very good. Staff was friendly, service was great. Porch seating is a nice location to people watch while waiting. Definitively will come back.

Had dinner there with friends around 7 pm on a Friday night. Place was busy, a testament to the good food and service offered. This was the second time I was there, and both times the food and the service were equally enjoyable. The portions were quite large, I had a stromboli which completely filled the plate. The dough used for pizza and items like the stromboli is fresh and delicious, with just the right texture. The same waitress waited on me both times, and even though the place was busy we did not feel neglected. Although there are 4- 6 large TVs mounted on the walls, it was not a loud sports bar, instead there were sports to watch and yet a family with kids could eat there without feeling overwhelmed.

Enjoy delightful dishes in our casual, contemporary atmosphere. We serve a variety of fresh, creative salads, sandwiches, & specialty items for lunch. Our dinner menu features top of the catch seafood, delivered fresh 6 days a week, great steaks and more.
The California Chicken BLT is marinated in an overwhelming "cumin" seasoning! I was so incredibly disappointed! The seasoning overwhelmed the rest of the sandwich and all you could taste was cumin! The service was very slow, and the food was certainly not worth the money. We traveled here from the west coast. We know California Chicken BLTs. Chicken should never be marinated with an overwhelming seasoning that doesn't compliment the sandwich that's for sure! Will not return.

I'm a huge fan of their grilled pizzas which are available in the summer Thursday evenings at the Cafe, Saturday mornings at the Ligonier Farmers Market, at the Route 30 Wednesday evening dinners and during Fort Ligonier Days in October. You can BYOB and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere or, like me, order ahead and take them to go.These nice folks have it down to a science and the homemade pesto is not to be missed! Be sure to have a sprinkle of their balsamic on top & enjoy

Working in the area, we like to visit hometown favorites. Googly fit the model. We tried some appetizers, and ordered mostly pub food. Service was fast and friendly, and food choices were enjoyed by the whole crew. I was the last to finish because portions were p!entiful. They have a great beer selection, but we all had soft beverages since we were going to work at 9pm. We'll return when our project is done, or maybe sooner! They even have an 8 lane bowling alley in the back. Cool place!

We went here for breakfast. This is a diner that serves up basic home cooked style breakfast. The breakfast special consists of eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes, and toast. The portions are huge and the price is unbelievably inexpensive. It tasted wonderful. The server was fast, efficient and friendly. My understanding is that they don't accept credit cards, so bring cash!

My husband and I visit Road Toad about once a month. Most recently we celebrated a friendâs birthday. We were seated in a private room and were given service that exceeded everyoneâs expectations. Our server was funny, personable and pregnant. Our meals came out at the same time, hot and delicious. Ron, the owner, came back to check on us an even offered to take a group photo for us. It was a memorable time with great friends, great food, great service. I canât end this review without mentioning the bar staff. We often times eat at the bar and are given the exact same service and attention as being seated at a table. Colleen and BJ are hands down the best bartenders. Way to go Road Toad! You are consistent and friendly and thatâs what makes our 45 minute travel time worth every minute.

Classy little Pub on the edge of town with wood and stone finishes. Great selection of scotch and craft beers. Made to order Scottish American food.
Stopped in after a long day at Idlewild and this place helped me relax in the beautiful relaxing atmosphere. The shrimp basket, fries and my nephew's grilled cheese was all delicious. He killed it. Our server Sara B was on it too and super friendly! Will be back for sure!

Handled a group of 10 with prior reservations without any issues. Service was timely, waitress handled our group efficiently and timely providing outstanding service. Food was enjoyed by all with one exception, her fish was overcooked and dry, one of the challenges when handling a large group.

Took advantage of the February Presidentâs Day weekend to spend an extra day visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Acme, PA. Arrived late Friday with intention to do âexploringâ on Saturday. They decided that to get the day started right, we all needed a good breakfast. And the best place for breakfast according to them was at âThe Kitchen on Mainâ. The breakfast menu has traditional breakfast fare, but their claim to fame is the various eggs Benedict selections, something not found on most breakfast menus. Three of us went with the eggs Benedict -a traditional, a smokey, and a farmer, while the fourth opted for a Belgian waffle with fruit. The eggs were perfectly done, firm whites and just runny enough yolks. These proved to be an âeggsellentâ way to start a day of Laurel Highland exploring. Cost of the breakfasts, including toast, juice, coffee, and tip - $80. As noted by others, at the upper end for a breakfast. If you just want a simple two eggs done any way, toast, and coffee, there are more frugal selections. But if you want a little something special and a morning splurge, then visit âThe Kitchen on the Mainâ.
