Visited Jimmyâs Charhouse expecting a âclassyâ steak restaurant experience. Instead experienced a dark, drab interior with mediocre food. Service was good; but it doesnât make up for the tasteless steak. Donât get too thirsty for lemonade. They fill up the glass with Ice cubes, pour some lemonade over them, then charge you for a refill after 5 gulps. Other places of higher quality around Libertyville....go try them.

Good food comes easily in Libertyville I feel.. the atmosphere is interesting if you donât mind sitting right next to the people at your sides... why I would continue to come back is the service! Out server Saturday night was Jen, she was over the top awesome! Cheerful and helpful and right on top of our needs. I really despise being âherdedâ at a restaurant and we felt right at home. The bus people were slower than expected and there was an older woman maybe the hostess that was rather rude and certainly not in sync with the vibe. We had the slow roasted duck and the chicken that were absolutely incredible! Thank you Jen for making our visit memorable ... more places need people like you who really care about service

Chose ChiliU because our son was craving poutine which ended up not being so great. The chili, however, was really good and the one I chose wasnât spicy which is exactly what I wanted.

Libertyville's Tavern in the Town Ltd Provides Steakhouse Menu, Desserts Menu, Lounge Menu, Dinning Rooms, Wine and Events to the Libertyville, IL Area.
When my husband wanted to take me someplace "special," I had no idea just how special the inside of The Tavern truly is. The soft lighting and warm colors in the wood and brick make this place so charming and comforting. I believe it is one of the most visually stunning restaurants in Lake County. That said, it comes at a price. Now, we enjoy fine dining and we have certainly found some incredible restaurants in our time, but I feel compelled to say that although some of our food was outstanding, not all of it was. I should preface this by saying, we all have our own likes and dislikes, and this is only my personal opinion of course, so please take this for what its worth. My husband was quite fond of his 12 oz. Big Filet which he said was cooked to perfection. I, on the other hand, opted for the House Rub Chicken and found the chicken to be very salty and a bit overcooked. The flavor was delightful but just a bit too salty for my taste. I also thought the Creme Brulee was delicious however, why add strawberries to it? I would have enjoyed fresh strawberries on top rather than inside the Creme. I also felt that the wine was a bit overpriced but I do admit they have a wonderful selection from which to choose. Despite my own personal reservations, I would still highly recommend trying The Tavern and enjoying the magnificent atmosphere to be sure. I even hope to give it another try down the road.

A real old fashioned family owned Jewish deli that I bet you'll love. You have to deliberately look for it, it's right on Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville in the shopping center featuring X-Sport, but it's around the corner at the left side of the center. It's small but the atmosphere and food is great.I had the corn beef on rye, you can't go wrong with that although next time I'll try the "Yummy" which is the featured sandwich. My grand kids loved their chicken soup with huge pieces of chicken. It was more than a meal for them.I'm from New York and this is the closest thing to a true NY Deli that I've found. Who knew it would be found in a little spot in Libertyville!?

Wow, amazing. We had breakfast before a trip around the City of Chicago - fabulous. The staff are very friendly and helped us poor Brits decide what was what. We didn't really need lunch! Yum. Recommend.

A great restaurant for the whole family, urban American food ranging from Asada fries to Acapulco salmon. This restaurant was designed for the perfect night under one roof, starting with our multi award winning patio with closing roof and motorized window
Menu was so large it was overwhelming. Service was slow and food was lukewarm when it arrived. Not super impressed unfortunately, would not return.

Stopped by for lunch after shopping the Libertyville Farmers Market. What a cool place. I really loved the ambience. I had the Grilled Salmon sandwich served with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce and tomato and a side of Asian coleslaw. The sandwich was fantastic and the sesame oil dressed coleslaw was great. My server Victoria was excellent and very friendlyI look forward to returning to try one of the creative cocktails and just hang out and enjoy the cool pub/bar setting.

On a road trip from Wisconsin to Arkansas, we stopped at Wildberry for lunch. With temperatures nearing 100, we bypassed the opportunity to eat on the nice outdoor patio (even though some were doing it). The atmosphere inside is fun, sunny and casual. Service was exceptional. We both ordered salads that turned out to be enough for dinner the same night. Delicious, fresh veggies and fruits, served with fresh bread. We will be back.

Full service restaurant and lounge
Our group of eight received excellent service, and everyone enjoyed his or her food. That some dishes were infused with chocolate was a happy novelty surprise enjoyed by everyone. The cocoa-nibs-crusted Great Lakes Whitefish was a hit with most of us, but the beef eaters among us also enjoyed their meals. A custom-ordered, gluten-free four-layer dark chocolate torte dessert was spectacular!
