One of the last places in Lexington that still Pit Cook their BBQ and you can really tell a difference. Growing up in Lexington I'm not a big fan of BBQ but this place does it right and if you are like me and you don't like BBQ all that much they have great burgers and homemade specials. Breakfast is great and super cheap here and the deserts are homemade and phenomenal. Make sure you visit soon because it's possibly on the chopping block for a road widening project in the next few years which is a shame because it's one of the few places left that still do things right.

We enjoyed the ribs, the burgers, and the fries. The barbecue was great as well. The staff was friendly. The only concern was the salad bar looked meager. Otherwise it was great!

The Seafood was awesome, better than the local Seafood Restaurant. They have a variety of different meats and vegetables, some are daily options. They have kids plates that come with a meat and a vegetable. The plates come with a drink. The prices are inexpensive and the staff are friendly and hard working. They have 2 ladies room and only 1 mens room. They can seat large parties. They have a private dining room. They have different Cobblers.

Original Christo's has been a staple of the Lexington, NC, food scene since 1983, and they're still the best family restaurant around. The great eats and friendly atmosphere have made it a popular choice for locals and tourists alike. Just check out their
We met our friends here for supper. The restaurant isn't busy. The buffet bar is well stocked with a variety of different pizzas. We all decided to order from the menu instead if the bar, 2 of us had grilled chicken salad, 1 had an Italian Sub and I had the Mediterranean Waves. I was disappointed in the flavor of the plate. There was people seated and they couldn't get waited on so they left. The restaurant has a bar upstairs. They have a lot of waitstaff; but people are waiting on drink refills and to go boxes. It doesn't seem like the Hostess is letting the waitstaff know when she sits a table. The Hostess isn't friendly.

This is a local establishment that opened a few years ago. Reservations required. This is where you go for fine dinning and service. The name does not say it right... it is cuisine dinning built around wine and international style eating. You will not have a bad meal here or experience. It is not cheap, but the food and wine is top drawer. Surprise: the establishment is a one story brick house that looks like you should not bother to come in. Well.... go in and see what the word incongruent means. I go here on special occasions for slow food with quality and service A++

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. They have $5.00 Lunch Special, today it's a Cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. You can't go any place else and get a lunch this good for that cheap price. They give large portions. The Cheeseburger was really good, I got mine with mustard, chili, and slaw. So many fries, shared with my husband, and we still had fries leftover. The Lunch special changes every week.

Had lunch here, was seated promptly. Very nice rustic decor, on main street in what looks like old part of towm. The area was bustling. We both started with soup (recommend the tomato basil over the potato), and order was taken and delivered in a very timely manner. Wife said the salad was very fresh and the perfect size. My turkey club on wheat was good, but could have used a little more turkey to better the ratio vs the 3 slices of thick wheat bread. That being said, i could only eat half of it! Good value at this cafe and the service is friendly and excellent. The menu is baried and alcohol is available. I found the water being served in a styrofoam cup to be odd but not a problem for me. A well run place, lots of antique shops nearby, parking is tight. Thank you Bud G for your kind words! We would like you to know that we have changed our wheat bread to a thinner and an even healthier product...the thicker product was a temporary fix as our supplier changed the normal great product we had been using for years to a completely different product that we deemed unacceptable so, we do apologize for the thicker bread you encountered. Also, we are converting our foam cups to a reusable glass that should be a better fit for our establishment....the glasses are waiting on a logo process and we should have them soon. Thanks again for choosing Cafe 35 and we look forward to seeing you and yours soon!Mark & Linda Gosselin

Nice stop for lunch with beautiful Tuscan setting. We stopped for wine tasting and had a delicious lunch that was reasonably priced. I had the chicken salad sandwich and truffle rosemary french fries sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese. My husband had the same with a delicious salad instead of the fries. The gift shop and wine tasting are exceptional. Itâs a elegant rest stop for the travel weary. Mr. Childress did an outstanding job with the vineyard, banquet facilities, bistro, gift shop and wine tasting. Thereâs an inexpensive hotel on the property too close to the interstate.

Planned a family dinner here since it used to be great and is conveniently located off the highway between Salisbury and Greensboro. Disappointed all âround. Our server/waitress was overtly rude and in a hurry to take our order. She even interrupted us as we were talking to ask if âwe had decided yet what to eatâ...said loudly âsirs, are you ready to order yetâ with an attitude, and no we had not been sitting there for long. She definitely had an attitude. Then the food arrived and we had a different server for a brief time so not sure what happened there but we were glad. Bbq was not flavorful, beans tasted canned, portions small. Desserts looked tasty but we were not offered or asked about dessert so wouldnât know. Not at all what I was remembering from the past. Poor service and food quality, then to top it off she had overcharged us, writing on the ticket that we had more drinks than people at the table. What a shame this place has deteriorated so badly. Wonât be back.

Of the wonderful Barbecue places in Lexington, I believe The Center has captured the best mixture of barbecued pork, red slaw, and sauce. The taste, texture, and moisture of the pork, when mixed with the sauce and red slaw that contains a bit more than a hint of horseradish that screams, "Make us into more than one sandwich and eat us!" Of course the wait staff never met a stranger or heard a silly question -- they all fell over us with service and kindness. Other restaurants might have more variety (sausages or brisket or mayonnaise-slathered slaw), better hush-puppies, or better outside aroma from its on-premises outdoor pit, but The Barbecue Center has the BEST slaw, sauce, and pork combination -- and that's what we came for. And once you are there, if there are four or more of you, you can't pass up the banana split. The only way we could justify our indulgence was to not eat again for the rest of the day. This place is great for friends who want to eat and catch up or families who feel comfortable with each other.
