Find out what American restaurants to try in Lenox. It seems like every time of year is "in season" in Lenox, a small Berkshire town that has been a popular retreat since the 19th century. In summer, picnic on the lawn at Tanglewood, the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer home. In fall, when foliage peaks, take to the hiking and biking paths of the Pleasant Valley Sanctuary to immerse yourself in the vibrant colors of the mountains. Winter visitors enjoy skiing at a number of resorts and cross-country trails, and in spring, hikers and golfers practice their pastimes in splendid settings. Rejuvenating treatments and pampering, at the well-known Cranwell Spa, are favored all year long.

This restaurant is a wonderful place to eat breakfast. You can eat inside, or outside on the deck. There are small gardens and a gazebo on the property. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere very relaxing. They have a nice menu selection. The breakfast we had was delicious!

Each year my wife and I take turns planning our wedding anniversaries. And it is always a surprise for the one who's not planning it. This year was my wife's turn and we visited The Berkshire mountain area of western Massachusetts, specifically Stockbridge. The night of our anniversary we dressed for dinner and headed out to Lenox Massachusetts, the next town over from Stockbridge. Aided by her trusty GPS my wife directed me to the entrance to the restaurant which I mistakenly mistook for a private home's driveway initially. Urged on by my wife despite my misgivings we followed the driveway until we came face to face with a magnificent Italian villa completely lit up complete with the circular driveway and huge fountain in the middle. The Wheatleigh Hotel, home of Portico by Jeffrey Thompson restaurant. This is a 5 star, 5 diamond awarding winning hotel and restaurant. Reservations are a must as the restaurant has only 8-9 tables enclosed in a glass and stone portico in the back of the villa. The menu consists of a choice of either a six course tasting menu selected by the chef for $158 per person or three or four course price fix menus for approximately $130 or $115 per person. Their wine list is a Wine Spectator 2017 Award winner, enough said about that. And they, of course, have a trained Sommelier on staff at all times to assist one. As it was our anniversary, we felt we had no choice and ordered the tasting menu. From beginning to end, a fabulous gastro journey covering beef, shellfish, sushi, fish, cheese, and a special dessert featuring tomato sorbet. I could go on for a while to list all the special little tastings we had but suffice it to say, they were all delicious and expertly prepared and presented. The chef definitely had fun. The staff was amazing as well. Professional, efficient, knowledgeable about each dish presented, and very unobtrusive yet attentive. Now, this level of service, food, drink, and atmosphere comes at a very high price. Our meal, complete with the optional cheese service, a bottle of champagne and one half bottle of merlot came to around $650.00. That being said, if one can afford it, you will never forget a meal at The Portico. One more thing, young children are not welcome.

The Olde Heritage Tavern is where the locals go in Lenox. Our menu features Appetizers to Entrees. We are a traditional Tavern. We offer large portions of our homemade food. We have a great staff that enjoys taking care of our friendly customers. We have
Nice local joint with great food! We enjoyed sitting at the bar and having a drink after exploring downtown Lenox and Ventfort Hall. I had a delicious Salmon BLT and my wife had a really good patty melt. Service was friendly even though it was busy. Our food took a while to come out, but I would rather the kitchen take their time and deliver on quality like they did, then rush and have our meal be unenjoyable. My only recommendation would be to expand the taps to include some more local / regional brews. Overall, great place to enjoy a drink or delicious meal.

A fine restaurant in the Berkshires is not hard to come by. But in searching for a venue that combines superb food, historical ambiance, exemplary service, and modern designer class you will invariably arrive at the countyâs newest offering, here in cente
This is a rather expensive restaurant, the food is good but we came for the atmosphere and to enjoy the evening. The interior design of the dinning area is impressive but we liked the veranda and for dessert / ice cream even the lawn tables.Would come again. Lovely place and beautiful views.

My husband, son and I went to Lenox for the Star Wars film night at Tanglewood. We stopped here for lunch as it was near the Yankee Inn, where we were staying. We enjoyed the food so much, we returned for breakfast the next day. They accommodated my son who needs gluten free and dairy free foods. Good food and good service!

We went to the lounge to enjoy an light meal and live music. The room itself was warm and comfortable. The food (and drink!) was delicious. It was great listening to the pianist/singer in an inimate setting. After looking at the Inn, we were sorry we were not staying thereThank you so much for dropping by! We created the lounge so Lenox would have a cosy and sophisticated venue for music lovers, and are glad you discovered us. We hope to see again in the near future.

It was our first visit at the Nudel restaurant and it was certainly not ourlast one. Not only the dishes are creative but also very delicious. All staff members are friendly but the girl, who served was especially smiley and motivated. [Unfortunately I don't remember her name]
