This is a specialty food shop that specializes in packaged jerky with a wide range of unusual flavors as well as dried fruits and nuts for snacks. We checked this place out during the holidays. The Bucks County House of Jerky is a great addition to Peddler’s Village for those who love chewing jerky.

Nina’s Waffles & Ice Cream shop is a nice addition to Peddler’s Village. We’ve been to the Nina’s creamery in New Hope so this was a real treat to be able to get the same great tasting ice cream here. They make Belgian Liege waffles to go along with a good selection of ice cream. I liked the Banana Walnut Ice cream.

Me and my dining comrad show up around quarter after one. The place is experiencing a congestive heart attack! Us two wait along with a large family group for seating. The hostess asks, "Are you with them?" I say "No," she says "Follow me'" to our table. I already love this place.Service was excellent, under very busy conditions. Women were running this place, and it beneficially showed. So my boss had the shrimp and salmon burger. She let me try it, pretty good. And follwing was her interest in cooking one up at home. I had the crab cake. Very high quality too. Food was very good. But sitting in Hart's was like trying to remember the housing of a century ago, where your forebearers lived while you were a child. So ambiance rates high as you attemp to figure how old a place Heart's really is.

I have been meaning to stop here for a long time. My son and his fiance recommended it to me a year or so ago. Today I made a special trip to Lahaska to have lunch at Chive. My first disappointment was the hot chocolate, they have no whip cream. Then I ordered short rib chili. Sounds delish doesn't it? It came cold, I mean smack from the frig, no one heated it up. Ugh, I took a bite expecting it to be warm and my mouth got coated with a coating of maybe grease from the meat. They took it back and again it was not even luke warm. At that point I didn't want it because my mouth was not happy. Instead I ordered the buttermilk battered chicken sandwich. Can't go wrong with fried chicken now can you? The sandwich was tasty but the chicken was soggy and not crispy. What happened here!!! I won't go back, from start to finish, it was simply not good.

Tucked away in the wooded banks of the Lahaska Creek is a most elegant colonial manor--The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm. Although an elegant wedding venue, this English-style estate, complete with working farm, boasts a bed-and-breakfast inn and a first-class restaurant. My wife treated me to very satisfying Sunday brunch at the Barley Sheaf’s many-windowed dining room. In trying to describe this extraordinary fine-dining experience, the first thing that stood out was the immaculate service. Patrick made our experience personable and enjoyable; he explained the dishes and made recommendations. As an upscale establishment, brunch is an “all-you-can-eat” menu of small plates that range the spectrum of foods and tastes. One can’t go wrong with any dish, entrée or dessert. I have never been a fan of raw, smoked salmon, but the smoked salmon plate was incredible and highly recommended. The setting in the dining room made for a relaxed mood where we savored our food while chit-chatting, with no care in the world. It’s possible patrons could stay for hours sampling the dozen or so dishes. So, if you liked to be pampered in colonial elegance, then I would propose a visit to the The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm.

Pleasant atmosphere with lots of bar seats, high top tables and regular tables. Good craft beer selection. Bartender offered a sample if I wanted before ordering a beer. They also have flights available. Decent menu selection as well as daily specials. Steak wrap sandwich special was very good - but the bacon was a little too overcooked. Great service - food was served quickly.

Another person order the shrimp ones, which they enjoyed. The burgers were really good, according to some at our table. All in all, a good experience. Thank you for your review. We look forward in serving you again in the future.

A friend and I had lunch at Caleb's American Kitchen about a week ago. It's a bright, airy, cheery sort of place. We went on a Tuesday, which meant there can be an extra inflow from the Tuesday outdoor market a few miles away. The restaurant also attracts foot traffic from Peddler's Village. They prefer reservations, although it doesn't appear you really need them at lunchtime.I had their version of s Reuben/Monte Christo sandwich. It was round, s knife and fork type of sandwich. It ran $9.00 as I recall. It was quite good. The sandwiches come with potato chips. I don't know if they make their own, They are excellent. One of the major benefits is the BYOB policy on wine. We each brought a bottle with the intent of sending the other home with the unfinished bottle. The staff brought over pairs of wineglasses, no problem. This was a good experience. Service was pretty prompt.
