Things to do in La Union Province
Japanese and izakaya restaurant.
We went here for brunch because we really missed eating Japanese food (and mind you, this was the only Japanese restaurant in the area). We ordered ramen, gyudon, and maki. I liked the maki, but my boyfriend hated the gyudon. It really was too sweet. The ramen also was a pass. They had limited ramen choices, and the one that was available had slices of lechon on it.
Passing through Bauang on the way to Abra, we noticed a restaurant that was news to us so we thought we would give it a try. It looked nice from the outside and once we were inside we were not disappointed. The place was spotless clean. The waitresses were friendly and quick on their feet. The menu selection looked appealing so we ordered a couple of beers and thought about what we would eat. With so many choices, we finally opted for BBQ chicken lollipops, big Shanghai lumpia, "Trashcan" nachos with extra cheese, and of course, a couple of more beers to sip on. And, unlike many restaurants we visit, we did not hear, "Sorry, sir, not available."The food was perfectly cooked, hot, and exceptionally tasty. We could not finish it all but got take out which we enjoyed later that evening. Best of all the prices are affordable and the beer inexpensive at 55 pesos. They do have a Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. where the beer is 40 pesos (or 45, I cannot recall). We'll be sure to stop in again and try the other equally eye-appealing dishes.

My family's palate varies from Filipino, Italian & American cuisinewhich surprisingly this restaurant has to offer. An oasis in the north very comfy settingespecially the Sakura Garden . Staff and owner herself were superb and courteous and service is fast efficient. We love the pizza pastas and the desserts and smoothies.Wasn't able to try the spa but will definetly go back. More power guys!
We are a young and eco-minded company located in 134 Beachfront Collective, Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union. We serve well-made food and specialty coffee by a clean beach. We strive to keep our beach clean by incorporating simple, sustainable, and habit-ch
It's good to see stores/restaurants caring for the environment and Clean Beach is one of them. As their store name suggests, they push for a clean beach with their use of ceramic cups, glass handles, metal and bamboo straws. Definitely, no waste. They even give a Php10 off promo for customers who would bring their own tumblers. They also sell bamboo toothbrush and reef-friendly sunscreen. We were supposed to dine in El Union but a local suggest we try it here because they have the best coffee according to him. Their iced coffee latte did not disappoint. We came back here the day after during breakfast and tried cappuccino and I loved it! It was stronger than most cappuccinos I've tried before but I loved strong coffees so this is okay for me. My sister thinks it was too strong though. Their coffee art is also awesome! I think they also offer breakfast options like kaya toast and eggs and would like to try them when we come back in LU. The staff are also very friendly and chatted with us kindly. They also have hammocks and the cafe is near Flotsam and Jetsam and just along the beach so you also have a good view while having your coffee.

This has certainly added some new flavour to a city center with mostly Chinese/local food or Manila brand fast foods. We had to sit and wait for a while on arrival due to birthday parties (and graduation) but there is a small seating area and the table was prepared quickly once ready. The waiters were very attentive despite how busy the resto was and I was surprised how quickly the food arrived thinking we would have a long wait.... and the food was still freshly cooked. Pretty much among the best pizza I have had in philippines and up there with some of the best pizza I have had outside Italy... my wife even thinks it rivals some of the pizza we had in Italy. Garlic shrimp pizza was tasty with a little spicy kick, wonderful quesadillas - a side order yet was as big as our 9 inch pizza, proper homemade thick cut fries, tasty coated mojos with a creamy gravy, delicious buffalo wings, bigger than I have seen anywhere and served with garlic dip. The food looks great and the pizza served on wooden boards. The have coffee, frappe, homemade soft drinks and ice teasFood was way too much for 6 of us and we were surprised how low the bill when we got it.Clean and modern resto on two floors with clean toilets. Only comment for improvement is the chicken is a little oily

Last meal for a La Union trip, took a quick stop in a diner that serves grilled classics. Value for money and generous servings. Grilled fish is a personal favorite.

Visited this place with my two sons. Ordered 8 kinds of food in the menu but only 4 kinds of what we ordered arrived without them giving us reasons for the delay (waited for an hour). Food is average. Decided to get the bill and told us to wait again, for reasons that their POS is hanging. Not a good place to chill w the family!
