A fusion of local ingredients and classic cuisine, The Market at Liberty Place brings the Kennett Square community together. Perfect for dining in, getting a fresh meal to go, or picking up your own organic ingredients, we offer a convenient place for nei
The market is basically a bunch of restaurants/fast food joins in one place. Its actually a bit too confusing and while you wait and select what you want to eat, you end up losing interest. Its more of a shopping mall feel in a old traditional town where you visit for a traditional feel. I dont think the market suits the Kenneth Square atmosphere. We go to Kenneth Square to experience the local feel and the market is more of a local feel captured in a mixed bag.

Verbena BYOB is a fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Kennett Square. We are a seasonally focused restaurant using foods from local farms, cheese makers, honey producers, and small merchants whenever possible. We specialized in tasting menus, h
Eating here reminds me of restaurants in Europe. The menu is limited so that the chef can take advantage of the freshest ingredients, and we found that very common when we were in Europe. We've been here several times since they opened. Our first few times, while we find the entrees pricy, we never complained because the food was delicious and sizes were fair. In fact, I even brought some home. We would even get a complimentary appetizer which was a treat. The staff is always welcoming and contributes to the positive expereince. However, lately, we have found the entree portions extremely small. The sizes of the appetizers are more than fair, and enough to go around. But, the entree sizes, for what you pay, are so insultingly small that even I, who eats like a bird, leave hungry if I don't order an appetizer. My husband usually orders the chicken dish and it was like, half a small breast. I ordered the polenta dish and it was literally on small slice of polenta cut in half. He won't order the steak dish anymore for that would be 'highway robbery.'However, the salad was huge, the cheese plate generous, and meatball appetizers plenty, and those filled us up. I just don't get it.A score of three stars is because of the entree prices based on the size. If this changes, I'll give it a five. And, I know others agree with me.

Over the past few years we haven't had great luck with Applebee's food, but this time was very enjoyable! My wife and I had a lunch here and enjoyed their appetizer offerings. We shared an order of pretzels with cheese dip and followed with an order of chicken tenders with mustard and bar-b-q dips. All were very good and we enjoyed the service provided to us by Carrie. The manager stopped by our table and made us feel very welcome too. Good eatin' in the neighborhood!

KBC is serious about supporting the excellent local musicians. Live music on most nights. Go early and enjoy an awesome classic burger before the band starts. This is a definite on weekend nights. New in-house brews are on the menu weekly too.

We were visiting from our of town for the mushroom festival and decided to stop in after seeing all of the positive reviews. We liked it so much we ended up stopping in three times in just two days! Everything was delicious, one thing was better than the next. For breakfast we had blueberry scones and cinnamon rolls. The scone was extremely moist, not dry, and had just the perfect amount of sugar on top. The cinnamon roll was the best we have ever had, and it had a delicious home made cream cheese frosting on top. For lunch we had delicious mushroom risotto and mushroom macaroni and cheese in honor of the mushroom festival and both were amazing. We cant wait to visit again soon!

I am always hesitant at eating food at a tourist type cafe or destination. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. They had a nice variety of options. From your typical sort of grab sandwiches, to soup, salads, and even things like salmon. The one dessert case had some delicious sweet treats as well. The staff is nice. The price is on the high side though, so that part is consistent with the tourist thing. Overall a decent spot while visiting the gardens.

This restaurant is located in The Shoppes at Longwood Village. Although this pub has 6 locations, our dinner didn't taste like chain restaurant food. Our waitress, who was quite knowledgeable about craft beers, brought out a couple samples to taste, based on information provided to her. When you first walk in, it does look like a pub. Moving to the back area to dine though, we were pleased that the menu had some interesting options. The food tasted like you'd get at a higher end restaurant, not just a pub. For example, their mushroom soup, described as roasted cremini, shiitake & oyster mushrooms, cream, thyme, crumbled goat cheese, sliced scallion, & shiitake "bacon" was quite good. The pulled pork sandwich & homemade potato chips were a hit as well. Their Power Salad included tabbouleh, farro, & bulgar wheat. I understood why our hotel listed this pub as a staff favorite!

The food here is excellent! We shared the house special salad of heirloom tomatoes to begin and it was beautifully presented. Unlike many restaurants, here they plated our salad into two portions which we appreciated. I had the nightly pasta special which was fabulous and my husband enjoyed the black pasta with seafood. We also shared a side of brussels sprouts which were excellent. A bottle of French rose wine complemented our dinner nicely. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is a couple miles from downtown Kennett Square and has plenty of free on-site parking. This was our first visit to Sovana Bistro and we will definitely return!

In the midst of 1000 acres of one of the world's premiere horticulture centers, 1906 at Longwood Gardens offers a fine dining experience that is unparalleled. Enjoy lunch daily and dinner seasonally with a view of the Longwood Conservatory and the gardens
Had a delicious dinner at 1906 at Longwood Gardens. We started with the cheese and charcuterie board. It was an excellent choice. The bread is an individual roll in a little flower pot. My filet was absolutely perfect, My friends also raved about the tile fish and the scallops. Make sure you save room for dessert The chocolate flower pot is to die for!! Enjoy

So accommodating, with a great menu that leans into local strengths (did you know the Brandywine Valley is the mushroom capital of the world??) We ordered the mushroom crepe, and I also ordered the mushroom pasta (papardelle forestiere). Both were fantastic. They also have a great cocktail list, and they offered us a free dessert when they noticed that we had a Hallmark card with us. (It was our fifth anniversary!) If the caramel crunch cheesecake is on the menu, don't pass it up. We were both stuffed before dessert but didn't regret somehow finding room for this nicely balanced treat. Oh, and they were able to give us a table outside even though we didn't specifically request it in our reservation and it was a busy night. Thanks for everything, Portabello's!
