Saturday nights is our date night and we always look forward to it. We had read such good things about Winston. We were looking forward to it very much. We had seen beautiful pictures etc. We got all dressed up and drove from the White Plains area, a bit far. They gave us the worst table ever, in a back little room upstairs, tiny table, we didn't have room for the food, bread plate etc. It was very loud, we couldn't hear each other talk, we had to yell to be heard. We asked to be changed and they said nothing was available. We thought it was extremely overpriced and portions were very small and the food was not very tasty. I think this place is more for young people, not for middle age ones like us. We will not be back.

By the sheer math underlying rankings one of the thousands of dining experiences has to be the bottom. A full 3-hour investment for under-cooked sub-mediocre hamburgers and fries and meager appetizers may just be it. The 35 minute mark brought seating in their messy dining room which resembles a mid-90's rec room. The hour fifteen mark brought about 8 soggy, fried, pickle slices and a handful of probably Totisto's chips. Another full hour fifteen later brought somewhat astonishing lukewarm under-cooked dense burgers and fries seemingly straight from Costco which appeared only after a walkout threat. To reiterate, 75 minutes of prep time and the food was somehow not hot(?). To be fair, getting diners out as quickly as possible did seem to be a priority for the busing staff who asked repeatedly if the group was done with their half-eaten burgers a few minutes after they appeared (uh...no). Miserly management offered a 20% discount for the train-wreck which was about 30 points too low. A 10% tip was included by Thewestchestarian as a misguided act of mercy, the server would be better served quitting and working someplace more promising. In short, management needs to be fired and should be ashamed of itself.

Perfectly done!Coupled with a vibrant Virgin Bloody Maryâs rich red viscosity, the yolkâs golden lava flow from the exquisite poached egg sitting on the bed of corned beef hash made for a symphony brunch matched with crusty hash browns. Always a treasure at this classic diner featuring excellent service and a very sophisticated dinner menu. Great for families featuring comfortable booths and great bar setting if youâre solo.

Burger Barn never disappoints. Burgers are always fresh, services is always friendly and there is not much else to say. Rotating beer selection is always good, drink specials are tasty ( I like the out east). can get loud, and can get crowded. Might be a wait but nothing to complain about.

After hearing and reading many positive reviews about this establishment, we stopped while driving home. The parking is very limited, but we managed to find a spot. We planned on just eating at the bar, but upon entering found that there were no empty seats at the bar, so we opted to stand in the small bar area to wait for a placed at the bar to open. The young hostess completely ignored us despite our standing right in front of her; she appeared as other reviewers mentioned more concerned about her own appearance than the flow of customers she ignored-but while one might contribute her attitude to her age, the real problem was the manager/owner? This person, a man in his sixties very casually attires, appeared at her station and could not have been more rude to many customers including myself. While walking past customers in the crowded bar he would not bother with the courtesy of an âexcuse meâ but simply rudely pushed his way past. However when a customer known to him appeared he went out of his way to accommodate them. I witnessed the same behavior numerous times and was amazed at his rude and pretentious behavior. We were able to find seating at the bar and found the service and food subpar at best-no silverware or napkins came with our dinner until we asked (multiple times). If you want a pretentious atmosphere with rude and unprofessional staff added to food that was below average at best, then this be a place to try. Personally I will never return.

Sometimes ya gotta have a little old-fashioned soul-fulfilling grease! Scrambled eggs, well done Fries and outstanding sausage make a recovery day a joy! They also make a helluva virgin Bloody Mary for a wake-up. Excellent service and priced right. The burger's aren't bad either.

Three families got together for a nice dinner on a Sunday night. My sisterâs family was in from out of town. All told we had 3 sets of parents and 6 children. The children ranged from middle school age to early twenties. We had made a reservation and everything was read when we arrived. The place looked very nice and festive. Our table was right in front of their Christmas tree in the main dining room. They have a bar section on the other side. Several of us had been there before and spoke highly of the place. The experience for everyone did not disappoint. The grilled cheese with ribs was a popular choice for our party. Myself, I went with the tuna. It was just fantastic. Cooked to perfection and very flavorful. We ended up there for a couple hours and everyone had a great time. We definitely chose the right place for this get together. We skipped desert and coffee on this visit so I canât comment on that, this time around.

The Blazer Pub takes its name from a term coined in western Ireland in the late 1800s by a group of enthusiastic foxhunters and their hounds. After a day's work, these hunters would gather in a temporary hut or shack to celebrate their hard-earned bounty.
Moved from southern Westchester to Somers a year ago and began looking for a great burger as Pipers Kilt in Eastchester had us spoiled. Locals up here raved about The Blazer Pib so we decided to check it out for lunch. It was a lively spot.I ordered medium rare cheeseburger with Swiss and grilled onions and he ordered medium Blazer burger which is served on a hard roll..and we shared a small fries. Small fries is large enough for two with extras to spare. First observation is they should use plates a little bit larger as it was difficult to navigate the food on such small plates. As I begin to eat my medium rare burger from the edge it seemed cooked all right although it was smothered with onions too large for the bun which disintegrated in my hands. A bun should do a burger justice and not have to be special ordered. As I continued eating the burger I realized it was not warm and bright red Andit was raw in the center. So I cut the burger in half to investigate. As I was unable to get anyoneâs attention I got up to find our server. She took the burger which was now cut in half due to my investigation back to the grill and rather than giving me a freshly cooked burger they re-cooked a half a burger and a quarter of the other half a burger put it on a fresh roll which was them served with cold not melted Swiss cheese. To me that was a poor remediation for a burger improperly cooked. When I told this to my locals they were surprised that it was handled so poorly. Also server never came to refil my water glass leaving me with ice to suck. That was not all that sucked. We are still on our search for a good burger in Northern Westchester.

Tables are a little close together but given size of restaurant it has to be. Chicken kabob was excellent bronzano fish was ok but sauce which was supposed be a caper lemon wine sauce was a little light on capers. Server was friendly and attentive. Prices are moderate but parking is an adventureThank you for giving our chicken kabob and bronzano fish a try. Our apologies if our caper lemon wine sauce was not exactly what you were expecting. We'd love to have another opportunity to impress you, Bobby, Owner
