Welcome to Kalamazoo's favorite downtown dining and drinking hot spot! Located on the historic central downtown Kalamazoo Mall, Principle Food & Drink features craft cocktails and scratch made locally sourced cuisine in a casual yet elegant vintage atmosp
There are zero all vegan restaurants in Kalamazoo, so a restaurant with a vegan option is lovely! Principal food & drink's menu is about one third vegetarian, which is awesome but only one fully vegan dish the vegan stroganoff which I had. The dish itself was very cozy, it made me want to take a nap. My dad had the vegetarian meatballs which he really enjoyed. Additionally I tried the traveler cocktail, it was a little too sweet for my taste. Finally, the atmosphere was really cool very modern. We came in pretty early and had no trouble getting a table on a Saturday night.

BOLD is a Southwest Michigan dining destination you donât want to miss. Youâll enjoy a warm, relaxing atmosphere; a great culinary experience; professional, friendly service and memorable, big-flavor cuisine.
Joined friends here for a Birthday Dinner celebration. Hadn't been in the area for years and forgot how much I enjoy Bold. Chose to go on Monday evening for the half off small plates (which are not really small!). Super interesting selections. Had a hard time making a selection. We each chose 2 and shared them all.The Mulligatawny Soup special was incredible. It was a duel of the spoons to see who could eat the most. The Caesar Salad there is always one of my favorites. Service was top notch. It is not inexpensive so the Monday night special is an ideal way to enjoy a delightful meal.

One Well Brewing produces hand-crafted beers and provides a place for like-minded folks to share ideas, art and culture in Kalamazoo, MI.
Excellent concept (order yourself at the bar), quick responsive food service delivery (to your table, by number) and plenty of cold, craft beer made this a most enjoyable (if not surprisingly fun) evening. The food is very good (diverse menu) and the people watching and games surrounding made for a festive night.

Fine dining locally owned restaurant. Chef owned. Italian & American cuisine.
Wife & I had Bravo's New Year's Eve buffet on Dec. 31, 2018. It was exquisite!!!. So many tasty choices . . . salads, hot foods (including Beef Wellington), eye appetizing dessert bar, attentive wait personnel. Frankly, we really gorged ourselves because the selections were extensive and the array & quality of food just made us want to back for more. Terry and Shawn did this evening up right, as usual. Bravo is a special place for us and we talk it up with friends. When in the Kalaamazoo area, Bravo is a must dine place and your palate and tummy will thank you.

I had the chicken dance sandwich. It was quite tasty but the lettuce was oily from the cheese & grilled bread. I guess I wouldnât put lettuce on a grilled sandwich. I had never had it, so I had no idea. The bacon was a little underdone for my taste. The caramelized onions & hand-cut fries were delicious & fresh.

Waiter was Ryan, very helpful, answered all questions (more than once, because this was a retired "senior" group.) food was served timely, with good presentation. Everyone enjoyed the friendly and pleasant ambience and, and the beer.

We stopped by for lunch on a quick drive through Kalamazoo. Ray Rayâs offers Italian Beef sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers and sausages. We ordered the Italian beef to share with onions and peppers and an order of fries. The fries were made from fresh potatoes and were very good. The Italian beef was a generous portion, more than enough for two to share. A woman at another table was raving about the beans and I was sorry I didnât try them. Ray Rayâs isnât anything special and maybe even a little bit of a dive. But service is very friendly and the food very good. Donât think there are public restrooms, so plan ahead.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Bells Cafe, they had a number of vegan options to chose from. I got the falafel on pita and "Larry's last flamingo fruit fight" beer both of which were lovely. My mom who is a meat eater got a burger and loved it. Also often forgotten french fries were super tasty as well. The menu of vegan options alone would be enough to bring us back but the atmosphere is fun too. Would definitely recommend checking out.Thank you so much for providing us with this feedback, Anna! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your recent visit. We have a "Vegan Night" coming up on September 26th if you are interested in that - we would love to see you! Cheers!

My partner and I came for a weekend breakfast, we had to wait a good 45 minutes to get seated which was a bit frustrating - however it's typically a good sign when a place is so busy!We both had French Toast dishes, I had the Espresso French toast which was amazing! I've never had anything like it before, and it had a really great coffee flavour to it. Unfortunatly, my partners dish was not so good. The Amaretti French Toast came with a caramel sauce that had all congealed, and there was far too much of it on the dish. A highlight of the joint is that it has a nice airy bright feel to the restaurant, it's great if you can get a seat by the window like we did. The service was really friendly and quick, overall a pretty good visit but I can see that perhaps some dishes can be hit and miss.

"Downtown Kalamazoo next to Michigan News Agency, across the street from court house, a block from Radisson Hotel. Open for breakfast and lunch. Great homemade food and lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Participates in the new "Passport Perks" program
I give very few excellent ratings, this was an excellent experience, all around. The food was incredible. Brian Big Tex Burger was very tasty, the fries are good (as are their cajun fries!). Others in our group raved about the Morning Skillet and the Club sandwich. No complaints at all. And for a stuffed burger, they got the food out very quickly! We got there before the lunch rush and were seated right away. The service was great, the restaurant was clean. All around a glowing recommendation. It is a small restaurant, so I could see it filling up. I have heard brunch is a rush so I would plan accordingly.
