My husband and I made dinner reservations, which I recommend, since it gets very busy for dinner. The grounds around the restaurant are beautiful; feels like you are in the jungle. There was live music and service was excellent. Highly recommend.

In a casual yet elegant setting of an Old Hawaii Plantation, Chef-Owner Peter Merriman serves his unique style of Hawaii Regional Cuisine in Kauai's Poipu. A pioneer in the "Farm to Table" concept, Peter serves only the freshest products, at least 90% of
We stopped by Merriman's during happy hour for a pina colada and a Big Wave on draft last week. What was really nice about the experience was that there was a small band just outside (guitar, ukelele and bass) singing Hawaiian songs. Worth a stop! 3 1/2 stars.

I am a little confused as the reviews are so good. Cute location, super fast and friendly service. BUT the $4 cup of coffee was tiny - yes free refills but the cup was a joke - , the type you get at conventions but without a saucer or spoon, the small orange juice is served in a tiny small latte glass and my french toast was 1 slice only which came a little burnt and was so small that I thought 'where is the rest of it'? Usually portions in America are so enormous that I can never finish anything and usually wonder about all that waste of food. Here I left hungry and I am not a big eater to start with. One slice of small toast isn't really good enough. Felt a bit cheated.

We had the burger which is incredible! We've been eating seafood every day and we needed something else and this was it! Also had the shrimp and pork belly appetizer and lastly the cheesecake desert. Also, the mixed drinks were great. We will come back and try more of the menu. Prices are fair and our server Kaya was the best.Mahalo for the 5-star review! We will share your awesome comments with our service and culinary team. We can't wait for you to come back and experience a few more of our tasty menu items!

My wife and I had dinner at Royâs Eating House 1849 in Koloa in late September 2019. My wife had the Butterfish bowl and I had the Blacken Ahi. My Ahi was excellent however, my wifeâs Butterfish was fishy tasting and disappointing. Our service was slow for reasons never explained to us. Royâs is expensive and it is nice to treat yourself to a great meal occasionally but our dining experience was not special that evening. We have eaten at numerous Royâs before and will again as this dining experience was probably an anomaly. There is free parking nearby.

Yes, you saw correctly, this is a food truck, but an unbelievably delicious and amazing food truck!! The food is far from âordinaryâ! We dined with local friends and thoroughly enjoyed this funky off-the-beach restaurant in Kalaheo, a few miles from Poipu. Most of our party had steak or ribs, but I opted for meatloaf, which came with a superb gravy. Dessert featured an unusually light bread pudding, drizzled in raspberry sauce. The Moscow mule tonight was another local variation and smooth as silk.
