Reviews on American food in Kailua, Hawaii, United States. Oahu's Kailua, meaning "two seas" or "two currents," is named after either the two lagoons located on the island or the two currents that run through Kailua Bay. Steady trade winds make Kailua Beach a great windsurfing and kite-flying destination. Kailua Beach Park features pristine white sand and views of the offshore island known as Moko nui or "two islands."

We had a wonderful experience. Because this restaurant is so popular for breakfast, we arrived at about 10:00AM . We had a short 15 to 20 minute wait. My wife ordered the excellent cinnamon bread Frech toast: fabulous. I took a taste, and I agree. I ordered a short stack of pancakes because we were traveling the next day. They were very good. We both ordered a side of the Portuguese sausage. This was the best sausage Iâve tasted. Great.

The food company is a very good plate lunch place with all the typically local grinds. Perfect for a plate lunch experience. But THIS is a review of FC (Food Company) Cafe ... owned and operated right next door by the same people, but a very different experience. This is fine dining - and it is really good! Frankly, I didn't even know that this fine dining option existed. The food is very inventive and generally excellent. We ordered the soft mozzarella appetizer (I forget the Italian name) with olive oil for the table. My wife (who is a picky foodie) said it was the best she ever had.She also ordered a pasta dish with fresh crab which she declared to be marvelous. I ordered a salmon prepared with Thai spices - fantastic. My sister ordered two appetizers as her entree (beet salad ... "fantastic" and fish tacos "don't order tacos in Hawaii" - she's from California. Entrees were mid $20s and up. We shared a flour-less chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. No liquor license, but you can bring your own wine. No "corkage fee" but a $2 per glass charge for the set up. The restaurant was pretty crowded for a Wednesday night and although they only had one server she did an amazing job keeping everything on track. Wonderful experience. Sorry I didn't know it was here before. I'll be back!!!

We are very glad we chose Buzzâs today! We were promptly seated and served and our drinks were very good as well! My husband really enjoyed the pulled pork topped with pineapple coleslaw and I really loved the teriyaki chicken burger with crispy fries! We were too full for dessert but highly recommend this spot when in the area!

Proudly serving FRESH all-natural premium chicken. Every meal is made-to-order. Featuring our famous sandwich melts.
Kids were hungry and we needed something quick - disappointed that one of the other fire-roasted outdoor options we remembered from our last visit was no longer there, we opted to give this location a try. A bargain for what you get - the chicken was very tasty, the sauces were a nice addition as well. Wish the sides offered more interest (roasted broccoli or brussels sprouts, even for an upcharge, would be a nice touch) but overall, it was a good value for what they offered.

This restaurant is on the east side of the island. Located in Kailua. Get here early. It definitely gets crowded. We waited 45 minutes. We had loco moco and fish (not in the menu). The flavor was really good. Pancakes looked huge and yummy. Cash only.

Stop by this market when headed to/from Kailua or Lanikai Beaches to grab a great cold brew coffee, a cold drink, take-out lunch fare, etc. Located on the round-about closest to the parking lots for Kailua Beach, you won't miss this quintessentially local market. There is parking available, and a small patio area to enjoy your food.

such a large menu that I figured they couldn't do it all well, right? Wrong. we were very happy we traveled over from the west side. Ordered and shared about seven dishes, all were good. And the prices are very reasonable

Kalapawai Cafe and Deli can easily be missed.... it is hidden along the side of Kailua Road with its small parking lot.Place your order at the counter from the posted food items. You then place your beverage order and pay your tab. There are pastries and a small bar. This visit we ordered a Pastrami on Rye.... very good.Service is friendly and efficient.

Really good service, food, and not bad on the wallet. Nothing you can do about the wait on the weekends...

Cmon, admit it. How many of you have travelled to a new city, sought out the best breakfast spots, waited in line to be seated and received a "pretty good" breakfast. Hey, it happens all the time. Pancakes, eggs, hash, whatever. Lots of places do them pretty well. Now open your mind to the possibility of a restaurant that takes breakfast to the next level. That my friends is Over Easy. The custard French toast with crime fraiche is unbelievable. How about perfect pancakes...Or try an egg sandwich with Portuguese sausage on a buttery, perfectly crunchy toast. We're talking simple dishes, with great ingredients, prepared with a level of skill and care that puts you in your happy place every time. The staff is pleasant and professional, and the food... my god... the food. Just go! This is quite possibly the greatest breakfast spot on earth! I mean it.
