We've been going here for years, enjoy the sandwiches without being overly enthusiastic. Always wanted to try their egg and biscuit dishes, but they've always run out by the time we get there! Still, reliable and decent food.

This is our 10 th dining experience here and it remains outstanding! Lovely, warm, fabulous service and incredible food. This visit we ordered the sweet corn soup, shaved vegetables salad, the scallops and the clam, chorizo pasta - all perfectly presented and delicious - wines and desserts all great. This is a must dining spot if you are nearby.

Very Cute décor. The Appetizers are great, mixed beets, mac and cheese, the burrata. All yummy. The main dishes were great too, however - We had two orders of black Cod in a really yummy broth but one of the orders still had bones. We had two burgers but one had 1/8 thick cheese, the other with 1/2 inch! One with nice fries, the other with half crunchy bits. Both were overcooked. We ordered a steak medium well, it came out medium rare. Weâve heard excellent things about boon...will need to try again. That being said, of the choices in Gurneville for a really nice meal at a pretty good price, Boon is it. Wait staff was fantasic.

We recently visited for dinner. Both the bar and restaurant were busy and energetic. The ambiance is rustic and fitting with the location. The food was very good. We had burgers and fish dishes. Everyone agreed that food was very good. Unfortunately, the service was not as good. It took about 45 min for food to arrive and they got some of the orders wrong. In the end the burgers were excellent and fish dishes were well cooked.

Part of the reason for eating here of course is the great view of the Russian River leading to the Ocean. Unfortunately for us we had a rainy night so missed what would have been a glorious sunset. Without the good views, it allowed us to focus on the food a bit more. I had the Duck and my wife had a seafood pasta. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but for the price it should have been amazing. The setting was also hampered a bit by the loud Texas lawyer who made sure everyone in the restaurant knew how important and accomplished he was. If you get a nice evening it would still be worth it.

Three of us went there for dinner after visiting the Armstrong Redwoods Reserve. Two got the fish and chips which were delicious. I had recently been put on a very restrictive diet by my GI doctor and was nervous about what I'd eat. Fortunately, I was able to order something within the guidelines - a simple dinner of chicken and carrots - but wow! It was so good!! I mean...those carrots...where did they come from? The Garden of Eden??? I never thought a simple side of carrots could be so delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the mezcal margaritas - really smoky taste, unique. The cheese board appetizer was enjoyable. We didn't have full dinner. The real star is the atmosphere here, it's a woodsy lodge with a roaring fireplace in the main lobby. Fireplace is probably lit most of the time, given the local ocean climate. If you go, plan to spend some time in the lobby by the fire just to enjoy it.

Absolutely the best salmon fish and chips I've ever had. Salmon was as fresh as possible. It was cooked to perfection, moist inside and the crispiest breading I've ever had. And it's a stretch to call it breading, because it was so then, and light. fries were the traditional crinkle cut style, and they too were cooked to perfection. Green salad was a bit small for the price.Service met expectations, but food so far exceeded. This restaurant is attached to the ocean cove Lodge. Don't be put off by its apparent lack of curb appeal. This is an excellent place to eat.

Driving up the Coast when we spotted this roadside restaurant, and we just couldn't go past without going in.
